Good morning!!!!

Ted- I have two potential weather events on my "radar": 1.24 - 26 and 1.27 - 29 timeframes. I agree, the first storm will be more wet than frozen with those warm, +32ºF predicted temperature around here. I am not going to worry about ice damming yet as it is still too cold for roof icing, but midweek may prove different. My roof rake is more decrepit than I, but my only problem spot can be reached from the ground, and Wifey has done that part before (after I broke the ankle years ago).

Farmer- Thanks and thanks to all of you. You all make my current situation more tolerable.

I have to post that as long as I avoid "stupid" I really am not in any real discomfort. I'll hurt more when I finally get to PT.

36°F here this morning and forecast for 63°F this afternoon. Winds are light this morning but expected to pickup later.

I'm dragging a bit from staying up to watch the eclipse and blood moon last evening / this morning.

I think today will be another "in the workshop" day ..... working on some "task" lighting.

Everyone stay warm and safe in the bad weather and please have an excellent start to your week.

Prayers to all.

65°F and no rain

Gorgeous moon last night. Then our star studded sky was brightly illuminated by super white full moon.

Likely get some mowing in today. Maybe sound a bit strange to you plowers and blowers.

Should be quite a Super Bowl if yesterday’s games are any indication.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

If you can’t find a unit that fits or individual springs the right size, that can be repaired using jute webbing and spring twine.
I have no idea how that can be done without disassembling the whole couch.

The springs ok, its the cross pieces that connect them.

I just screwed a piece of plywood under the springs to keep them from dropping all the way to the floor.

Broyhill couch. They went bankrupt a few yrs ago.

Those units are somewhat generic, not brand specific, but the plywood will work, it will make it sit firmer.

I put the plywood under the springs, before the dust fabric. Seat still goes down, but not as bad. Couch is 26 years old, just looked it up.
Wife said maybe a new one next yr, when only 1 in college.

I really have not done stupid yet.

ya see, it's that last part that worries me. ;)

as long as I avoid "stupid"

not even cautiously optimistic...perhaps stoic in the face of impending PT.

going to be very cold here tonight but not like many of you. Farmer, PJ, whole bunch of you be careful.
Chickens aren't going to like this cold, lots of heat lamps going I bet, and then you get to the major leagues
where Farmer is guzzling propane like free beer at a country fair.

Spent about four hours planting today, seedlings in trays, getting down to last available spaces in the warm inn.
Planted flowers, cabbage and collards as planned.

Day did not start out well, went to local and only feed supply place and after two months the guy admitted to me he hadn't even put in my order for the propagation mix I bought from him last year. Problem is the owner, either he is a real bonehead, second time this has happened, or his special order system is dysfunctional. I left in a quiet teeth grinding huff.
Work in the greenhouse, come in to his phone call, long apology, everyone thought the other guy had ordered it, sure, you are the only one who orders..., and that apology kept his business. So I called him back, ordered two bales of this commercial propagation mix which is more finely ground that most stuff available retail and doesn't have added chemicals. Plus I'll go down around lunch tomorrow, after temps are up over freezing, and get a final truckload of coastal bermuda hay for mulch purposes. Ground will be frozen tomorrow so I can drive truck out to garden area and not make a mess.

sky at dusk last night was pretty

Drew- Nice picture. Your highly accurate assessment reveals your true calling. It would have been great to have attended morning rounds/team meetings with you at the secure psychiatric hospital I worked ;). Thanks for the laugh. I am happy to read that the owner corrected his business's order screwup. Sometimes I wonder how some small businesses stay in business.

Nothing really stupid today other than almost crotch stopping a hot ember from the wood stove:eek: I need to reassess my approach and position. I did have my welder's gloves ;). The visual of an "incident' is rather disturbing; especially dealing with an ER triage nurse.
