Good morning! Low of 62°, heading to only 86°. Another slight chance of a T-storm..... yesterday's chances just went right on by..... At least the temps are nicer....

Yesterday's storms were 'dry', a few rumbles of thunder, but no rain. I hope this pattern breaks soon. Dry lighting strikes north of here started 3 wildfires. Haven't heard any updates on them yet.

RNG, I agree with RIP, you need to be happy and satisfied with the deal. If not, you will always question the decision. Good luck!

Glad you guys back east made it through that storm. Good there was only localized damage. Hope power gets restored quickly.

Drew, hope you can find the hot tube leak. Water in basements....When we lived in Bucks Co, all three houses that we lived in, always got water in the basements. Just about every house there has a basement.... Out here, basements are non-existent. I can't figure out why.... soils are good and stable, much more dryer, so would not have water table issues. They just aren't put in...
I/we miss having a basement.....

Sorry to hear that some of you had that bad storm come through and had either property damage or lost power or both ! Hope you get your power back soon !

It was a rough start here this morning ! On the way to my dentist I was waiting in a line of cars at a stop light and young girl and boy friend drove into the back of my truck ! Was a few minutes late for the dentist appointment but not too bad. Then the dentist while attempting to get the temporary crown off, his hand slipped and smashed my lower lip ! Blood all over ! This was all before 9 am !

So 60's to start and going to 76 with on and off rain !

The last item for the drip irrigation should be arriving today. I might start to prep (expose) the main supply line today, in anticipation of installing 100+ drippers tomorrow.

Wifey came in with a giant zucchini..... she said she thought she saw one last week hiding under the strawberry plants.... yep she did.....
Good harvest so far from them, she's gotten 8 from 4 plants and more coming.
Bean plants are devastated..... only 2 left out of 12. Those black ants just destroyed the base of the stems. Will have to find some organic pest control for next year....

Disappointed with the fruit trees, no peaches or cherries at all. Maybe 10 apples on our oldest tree, none on the 3 others. They all flowered in the spring, but then we had all the cool weather. I'm sure that is a factor...

Going to do a materials list for a back deck extension. It will serve as a grilling/smoking area. Haven't decided yet if it will get done, but chances are that the wifey's idea will be implemented (if I know what's good for me )

Just working the inventory values now for probate. Nothing can be sold till next month. The 5x10 is mine and will be used till the last load then it too will be sold.

76F and a mix of sun and clouds @ 13:00, heading up to around 80F for the day's high.

No further rain since midnight ...

Still have some puddles/standing water in a few low spots.

Had Special Request from Woman last evening: Texas Sheetcake ... so I complied and fulfilled Her desires ...

She just walked in the room and reported it was even better this morning ... after it "had a chance to rest ..."



Got a better look at the piece that failed under the kitchen sink, not actually the trap ... it's the tail piece that has the nipple on it for the dishwasher drain to attach to. They seem to fail about every 5 - 10 years.

Beans that are up are now to the point that they can easily be seen from the bedroom window ...

Possibility of making an attempt to get tomatoes caged up better if it isn't too wet. May have more that are ripe and need picked.

Probably do some tending of the strawberry runners we are trying to get to root, get a count on available holes for those and melt some more if need be.

Get those 4 Kentucky Field Pumpkins planted.

Suspect grass in back and on west side may be due for mowing.

Did not manage a shave yesterday ... so possibly on agenda for today as well.

Other than that see what else comes up.

Had a great weekend with mom..
Storms not too bad last night, was out at airport last night picking up daughter coming back from Nashville..Got to her house and she had no power, didn't come back on till 6 this morning..
I never lost power at the house....
