Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 5:30AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Nice van RNG what options does it have?
Now that's the sixty-four thousand dollar question, Buppies:

Options:
Ceramic Grey Clear Coat (Sandstone would have been nicer, but more conspicuous)
LED headlamps and fog lamps
10.1 touchscreen
220-amp alternator
Passenger poly window
Rear windows
Day/Night mirror
Power mirrors, wide
Alarm
Speed control
Spare tire
Hitch
Blind spot & Cross path detection
110-amp battery
Heated seats
Rear heater ac prep package
Instrument panel bright bezels
12 and 115-volt outlets
Interior LED group
Wood cargo floor
Rear assist handles
Upper & lower cargo paneling
Rear window defroster
Two additional key fobs
Auxiliary switches
Leather steering wheel
Remote start
Black aluminum wheels
Lane departure

Starting with the blind spot detection, the rest of the list are options I either didn't care about or didn't want, and they ran the price up more than $4K. But everything above that was a strong want or must have, and they came down $2.5K under MSRP. The only missing must have (swivel seat bases) I can purchase aftermarket and install myself. It still came in $2K over what a factory special order would have cost, but there's no telling how long that would have taken. Bird in the hand kinda deal.

Was going to head up there today, but I still haven't gotten confirmation on their end that the wire transfer has cleared. Called bank again yesterday, and the transfer still wasn't approved. This time they needed convinced it was going to a real car dealer, and not some internet scammer. That's a little too much of their nose in my business. Anyway, not wanting any delays at the dealership, now I'll wait on confirmation from the dealer. I also don't want to travel on the weekend, so right now it's looking like next week for the pick up.

Hope the pain eases and you heal up fast, Buppies.

Got the bike loaded and prepped for the trip, took a nice afternoon siesta, enjoyed a delicious pork chop off the grill. On the way home Tuesday I stopped by a Wine and More store and bought almost every bottle of Shiner Bock they had, so enjoyed some of that, too. It should last a while...

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

RNG, in one of the car sites I follow the guy measures the amount of storage for suvs and vans by the number of cases of toilet
paper he can fit in. I think using cases of beer is much more likely...
you could fit another row maybe in there.

grey and damp out
fed the birds, did a little weeding, not much else to do
looks like an energy conservation day

I especially like the guy on the wheeled chair doing an OSHA type violation.
I guess he rolls with the car?
That’s an OSHA violation?

😂👍

I had a carry on size suitcase (the biggest allowed by the airlines), a couple grocery bags, and a bunch of other gear stashed in front of the beer, Drew. There's a pass through if I lower the back seats, so there was plenty of room left. But they were out of Shiner...🤣

Good Morning!!!! 61F @ 5:30AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
We were down to a chilly 78 early this morning after five days of 85+ overnight and 100+ days. Heat index broke a record at 114 the day before yesterday. I had to go grocery shopping yesterday. It was about 95 at 9am. The local store had their air conditioning turned down to about 85, as usual. By the time I got home, unloaded and groceries put away, I was soaking wet. I had to sit down and cool off before taking another shower. Except for a couple of trash runs down to the bin, I've been staying indoors most of this week.

56°
Got .2” of rain since midnight, now up to .6”
Costco has firman trifuel 7500/9400W generator for $700. Tempting. Still bad THD though.

Time to hike.

This looks like a very well run assembly line. The Chinese auto industry will be formidable.

Could be an American assembly line. I worked for a company that made machinery for mounting, inflating, load testing and balancing tire and wheel assemblies. Before they are put on vehicle. Most of this is done at a just in time off site plant today.

A cool 64F and cloudy @ 10:45, calling for a high of 74F for the day. Slight chance of a rain shower.

Refilled hopper, suet, and two tube feeders yesterday ... also scattered cracked corn for the ground feeders.

Fluids checked in Kubota, added a little more to the front axle but it hadn't dropped off the stick.

Watered seeds and plants in pots, also sprayed a little neem oil until sprayer ran out. Need to refill today. Still have cucumber beetles.

Swapped out bucket for pallet forks, moved chipper over to the south side of the pole barn. Also moved a pallet of PT wood over there that was in front of the tiller.

Located manual for Bluetooth ear muffs and got them re-paired with phone, then discovered they needed charged.

Emptied remainder of Water Buffalo on one redbud tree and the day lilies surrounding it.

Located trip wire for live trap and got that straightened ('coon had bent it into a "U" shape) and installed on trap. Also trap baited and deployed, no customers as of this morning ... :(

Moved cabbages and Siberian Irises around back from front.

Gathered up the pots that had all the Earliglow strawberries in them. None of them ever did anything (in contrast to the All Star June Bearing which are thriving) Took a photo and sent it with an email to the supplier (Holland), suggesting they might have a little quality control problem. We'll see what they do ... if anything. Then emptied the dirt from those pots back into a tote.

Box bladed a section of driveway to fill in a couple of depressions.

Dropped box blade and pallet forks and then put tiller on.

Went back and started tilling and noticed the bottom pin was out of the quick hitch hook. Fixed that but it was getting late so I decided to just knock off for the day.

Agenda for today:

Locate bolts/nuts for PHD that fell off chipper while I was moving it.

East side of front which is thick and grows rapidly was looking like it needed cut again yesterday so I'll probably knock that out today ... particularly given the upcoming forecast for rain and cool temps ... which will likely cause it to grow like mad.

Then back to tilling garden.

Have a couple of tomato plants that are getting big enough that they really need to go in the ground.

Maybe work on getting the weed block fabric put down.

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday ... (y)

Thats a nicely equipped vehicle (van) nice looking too. My truck has that fancy electricAl options didn’t think I didn’t need but as my time with it increases 72 thousand miles later I really enjoy really all safety oriented

68°F and .21 inches rain

Need to scout around and do some touch ups with hand roller and brush on the balcony rose. Weather dependent as most places would be susceptible to rain which is forecast.

Need to finalize and put out our 4th of July invite.

Host Hand & Foot this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Weird experience checking out at Mt Costco today.

Getting in line for self checkout, they wanted to inspect my card. I asked if the blob photo was really me.
Then as I was scanning my items, different lady comes up and says I can only check out one order at a time at self checkout. I asked, what makes you think I have more than one order? It was weird.
Then I had an orbi mesh system that was on sale, and it wouldn’t scan. Wouldn’t take item number that the Costco person entered manually. I finally said forget it.

They have the heat pump AC unit on sale again $100 off, $399. Didn’t get yet. It’s heavy.
And the firman trifuel generator is very tempting at $699 , but very heavy.

Saw some people I knew while hiking the aisles. Gas still $3.22 there which it’s been for about a week.

Still light drizzle
My Starlink is not working last couple days. Which is why I wanted to try orbi mesh.
