Took the excavator for a walk and cleaned up a fairly big area for trees and branches down and stacked them in a windrow to rot down. Area looks clean and the row compressed into a smaller row. Also cleaned up all around the pond and graded dirt piles and moved large rocks and branches out of the way.
We are ordering groceries for tomorrow curbside pick up.
Trash needs to go up today. The RTV is used to hook the cans to the trailer hitch and tow them up to the road

Good Morning Everyone, it's Family Day here in BC. Sent messages to the kids this morning ❤️

thought I'd participate a bit this morning while I have a few minutes ...

BEF - I hope that you feel better soon
sodamo - that looks really nice
Joel - I miss the arena days, my daughter played Ringette. I also miss soccer fields / football / basketball / volleyball / badminton ... busy years those
Buppies - thank you, and to others for the prayers and support
mostly_ - thank you, doing what i can, staying on the high road rather than reacting, had a nice long soak in the walk in tub (good place to gather my thought)
ronjhall - great photo, love woodpeckers (a nice break from crows, ravens out here)
KilroyJC - sounds like you made good progress on the path / fencing; all the best with your avoidance techniques
Spike - thank you, ... i think :) 🇨🇦
daugen - nice catch up. i have brand new tires on my truck, part of a trade deal that i made months ago ... i know that they are wider / bigger, ALL TERRAIN 10 ply, about $400 each, but the brand escapes me - i'll have a look (GOODRIDE, so far impressive)
scootr - I can hardly wait for Spring, another month of snow here
Popgadget - cool photos, and they had the courtesy to move the car first
kenmbz - Lord Willing and I can keep the house, ..., I think that I will enjoy the yardwork again, those photos inspire me
m7040 - some tenants are great, some not so much... (I'm dealing with the not so much these days)
rswyan - i'm tired just reading you activity list, very productive ... i'm eager for better weather first
Thomas - the roadblock made me laugh, greetings
Kyle - cool photos, great collection

there, I'm caught up on this thread again ... for an hour or so

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
internet customer service
tried to download Webroot antivirus, they wanted 38 bucks to renew automatically but same thing for 13 dollars on Amazon.
Downloaded install.exe 7 times, no joy, back and forth with Webroot, finally they blamed Amazon!
Amazon very nice, they tried...and got nowhere and happily refunded my 13 bucks.
I guess I'm going to get Norton instead
45 minutes of my life wasted

washed the whole rv outside, good exercise for sure, nice to see it shiny for once in driveway.
headed back out to use some black conditioner on some trim areas where prior waxing made a real mess of the black trim.

Good Afternoon - currently 60° with a drizzle of rain.

I'm fighting a cold now but better than this weekend..All my life if I got a cold you bet I would get a fever blister on my lip somewhere..and it's here..

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Drew your mobile home looks very nice, and I'm sure you are going to enjoy it immensely..

Mark

Use AVG. Pay whatever they charge. It's fair enough and better than most. They update almost daily to stay on top of the bad guys.
You don't want bargain antivirus any more than you want cheap condoms. You will get something you don't want with both.

I get Webroot free from Bestbuy as part of the tech service

Missed the arrival of honcho. Still have no idea what she looks like. Avoidance successful so far 😎

48F and mostly cloudy @ 18:00, heading down to around 35F for the overnight low.

Got recycle bin and the large trash can in the garage which was full of recycables taken up to the road and set out, also some vehicle parts and burnables taken up to the shop.

Grabbed the drum for the dust cyclone on the way back down to the house and got it moved into the garage:

Probably locate it at the end of that bench next to the drill press for now.

Fixed myself a Braunschweiger sandwich with some chips for a little snack.

Triangular piece for sanding table trimmed to fit and slots trimmed out for the crossbars:

Fit checked:

Then glued in place:

Woman took the garbage up to the road and set it out on Her way out to do Her returns.

Going to shave and grab a shower real quick before She gets back.

Hopefully get that first coat of poly put on later.

Spent afternoon in bed sleeping. Got up took shower so at least feel little cleaner. Just had supper, fed the cats, even snagglepuss who ran in as I was getting a bag of pellets for the stove.
Just heard cat jump down in the basement, afraid he’s going to hurt himself. He was just fed, no reason but ornery for him to jump over the wall. He jumps from dryer top and grabs top of wall and pulls himself up thru 4” hole.
Taking it easy rest of the night, will probably be up late with 2 naps today.

Good ('Shrove' Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 9C and it's presently 18.8C, overcast with a breeze. There was 1mm in the gauge at 0900.

I've got a Doctor's appointment this arvo... just a 'follow up' on the blood-work from a fortnight ago. Excellent opportunity to have all of my scripts renewed too.

The "Mad Horse Woman", tomorrow, is away to the mainland (Adelaide, I think) until the 3rd of March and has asked me to feed her horse a 'morning biscuit' of Lucerne 'til she returns. A few more bottles of wine will be coming my way, in thanks.

Pikelets for Tea tonight!

That's about it, take care all.

Not sure about the later models, and what exactly VW did with all the ones that got recalled. Had a friend of a friend who did not want to turn his in. He loved it.
VW has done a series of recalls on the DieselGate engines. The first one applied a software update. The second one changed hardware in the emissions system. Depending on when the second update was done, another one of the same might be needed to get the car to 150000 miles, which is the end of the emissions warranty.

bef, did you post the video to youtube?

daugen, I am on Toyo snow tires which I hate and Continentals in summer.

4" of snow coming tonight and more on Thursday. I'm ready, hydraulics all fixed up for the next ten years, tractor full of fuel. I will turn on the block heater when I get up in the morning.

Have a good night all

Cody got into the snowplow that I had coated with Fluidfilm with a brush as a thick coating. He looks pitiful like an oily duck and it stinks bad. He is going to the groomer tomorrow to get cleaned up.

Daughter called. She has 10 months of leave saved up after working for the State Department for 14 months because of no paid OT but they give comp time instead. She only used 3 days of sick leave for her hip replacement because of constant phone calls involving her.

Wag, had to look up Pikelets with its Welch origin.

I have a full set of snow chains for all 4 wheels of the tractor but it has been years since I have used them. The bulbs are coming up and ready to bloom. Crazy winter

The excavator did good today getting over a deep ditch using the boom to hold up one end while going over it. Pretty neat trick.
