74° this morning with forecast for only 96° this afternoon. That’s about 5° that what we’ve had last couple of weeks. Still not being troubled with rain. Did get a “mist” yesterday for about 30 seconds.
The only silver lining in this drought is that I’ve been spraying aquatic weeds around edges of both tanks for past 4-5 months. I’ve sprayed areas in stages to preclude overloading tanks with decomposing matter and over absorption of oxygen. Small tank is full of catfish and large tank has bass.
As the water levels have gone down (about 18” so far) I’ve been able to mow a lot of the dead stuff, mostly sedges, and keep cuttings out of the water, thus hopefully precluding / reducing oxygen starvation.
This all started as a project, back in the spring, to eliminate lilypads in the small tank that magically showed up two years ago. No clue where they came from?
These pictures are from back in May over a two week period. Lily pads are completely gone now as is most of the sedge. I’ll post updated pics tomorrow.

New pictures.
This is where the lily pads were.

Over half of the sedge is completely gone.
