I forgot to say that I didn't have a single number on my powerball ticket. That's probably just as well. That was so much money that it would probably have ruined everyone in my family. Just crazy.

Chris
Who needs 1.9 billion when you got your health??
Lottery winnings have ruined more than one person's life...

2 billion by the time California finished counting.
I was wondering if someone had hacked the system and run away with the money.
Crime of the century

I had one number on three tickets.
Roy, I'm game, try and ruin me... ;)
My heart can take it.
wish it would show these numbers in doc offices.
Guess I'll have to show it to him on my camera.

I e-mailed Support that the Tempest weather station battery was in power saver mode and after checking my weather station out on-line support agreed it has battery problems. I knew it was out of warranty, as they did, and just wanted to purchase another battery. But they are sending me a new unit. They do have good support.
Truck fixed.
Weather station fixed.
Turning out to be a good week.

I am not feeling very well but had a tele session with doctor and he gave me Paxlovin and Prednisone. Tested wife this morning and at least so far she is negative. We are both fully boosted. I pray that she has developed antibodies. We did the best we could and she stayed off immune suppressive drugs for several weeks to give it the best shot. May be she will escape it? Still not sure how I could have gotten it being very careful and always wear mask if picking up from pharmacy and using curbside for groceries. Just goes to tell you the risk is out there with infected people around

Went out and ran the auger a little bit more in the one hydrangea hole I decided wasn't deep enough, seemed to have some hard pan so I went over got the digging bar and hit it with that, then hit it with the auger again:

IMG_2094 copy.jpg

It's a good 12"+ below the original grade now which should be good enough.

The other hole over in the flower bed:

Hopefully these will be good spots for them - they'll get a good amount of sun, but shade or filtered sunlight in the afternoon.

Woman brought home coney dogs from the DQ.

I promptly fell asleep on the couch with that Little Squeak cat on my chest after eating mine.

Planning on a relaxing evening and then probably to bed early.

We had a number of employees (including me) that developed Covid. Some were fairly serious and almost everybody's lasted 2 weeks or better.
Don't think masks work too well...and the anti-viral shots lose effectiveness within a year...

Roy, are you over your infection and are you testing negative?

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 10C and it's presently 24C and partly cloudy. Gentle breeze with no rain.

It topped 32C yesterday, which was a good 10 degrees higher than the Aerodrome which is only 5 or 6 km away but more 'coastal'.

Well, I assembled the new air compressor and 'ran' it... only to have it perform the same way as the old one. Bugger. The 'common fault' must be electrical so I'll need to go back through the system and look for anything that may be causing a 'high draw' problem. I did finish off mowing the horse exercise area + the driveway, then used a blower to clean off the Z-turn. Lastly I greased the 3 spindles on the mower deck before putting everything away.

It was a clear night for the "Blood Moon" and it occurred (for me) at a very decent time! I wandered outside at 2115 to observe the full red-ish effect on a lower aspect moon = larger than usual. There were some tree tops slightly in the way.

This morning the 'wood blokes' started delivering my 9 'tonnes' (9 ute tray loads), so I've got a few days of stacking ahead of me.

It's also 'in-to-town' day for mail and groceries.

That's about it, take care all.

Shame about your electrical problems Wagtail. I recently replaced the pressure shut-off valve on my compressor as the diaphragm had ruptured. Got an original off ebay for just a few measly dollars.

Dragged my old Honda HRU 195 Mower out after it had been sitting umpty years and gave it a clean up. I put it away many years ago as it had been sitting for a long time and the carby jets were gummed and stuffed. I found a carby with gaskets and spark plug and fuel hose on ebay delivered for $22 and fitted that. 2nd pull and away she went. Only part missing after all these years was one bolt but I had a spare one. Then I sharpened the blades and gave it a run. Sweet as. Always loved that mower. It would be around 22 years old now and almost as good as new.

Now to diesel up the tractor and maybe do some more spraying.

Yeah... I checked the electrical circuit and it's fine so I'm wondering if it is the pressure shut-off setting. The "Instruction Manual" for the new one is more like a pamphlet. 😄 It assumes that you know what you're doing to 'set it up'.

I'll 'play with it'. Fortunately I don't need to use it for anything right now.

good morning all
much colder morning but more normal for time of year
moon sure was bright last night, shining in through slits in shades, lighting up parts of floor like spotlights.

too bad we can't have moonlight panels too for electricity.

I'm off to Costco again this morning. This time I buy cleaning supplies first, then frozen foods.
I also want to see what they have in automotive.
I might even remember to take my cooler with me this time. And carry bags.
I wish they would be open 24 hours a day instead of 10am open. At least that means I wait until after commute traffic is done, store is in a pretty busy area.

SC, hope you are doing ok and holding up.

Poured first cup of coffee. 36° with partly cloudy skies. Heading to 63° with partly cloudy skies. From no plans to a full day of task. A large tree in woods next house had fallen over in woods. A widow maker for sure. Used mine and neighbors tractors to pull it down and cut into removable sized pieces. Then changed oil in my Mule and Car. Took neighbor into town so he could vote. Then On the way back stopped at neighbors house where power lines had broken. Tree was just laying on the ground. Went home and got tractor and Mule. Cut tree up and hauled it o fire pit. When I got home I was beat. Slept good last night. Going to be a conserve energy day.

38 going to 60 and sun.

m7, hope you're feeling better today, and wife not sick.

Mostly, sorry I missed your wife's birthday. Tell her one more positive wish from me.

Got up and watched the lunar eclipse wife my wife yesterday using binoculars and a spotting scope...was neat. Thought I'd see a great pic from Ron...sorry it got cloudy. Then left for the mountains.

Had a great hike, although cold and windy at the start, and with all the leaves on the ground, it made dodging small ankle turning rocks on the trail a challenge...I call them angry rocks. Had a first time experience...I was admiring a huge cliff when 6 nuns in their habits come down the trail...very friendly...said it was the first time they had been out on the trail for 2 years, due to pandemic. They had a good pace and big smiles. Then a half mile later, had the biggest buck I've seen in years follow me along the trail, about 40 yards back for a couple of minutes.
