Good morning to all! Low of 40°, going up to 72°, sunny. Wind will be present later this afternoon, but supposed to be just breezy. Yesterday afternoon's "breezes" were pretty strong. Tomorrow should be calm.

I decided yesterday that the inside of my eyelids were due for inspection..... had a nice 2 hour nap after getting the 3rd pallet of mulch and unloading it.
By that time the 'breezes' kicked up, so stayed inside.

The listing hit the market for the son's house (our old big house)..... listed for $150k over what we sold it to them for a year ago. Nice to make that profit off the backs of your parents, and turn your back on them..... We're still trying to find justification of what happened.... water over the bridge, I guess....

They already had 2 groups of people looking at it yesterday.

Rich, sorry to hear you got a tire puncture already. I have been anticipating getting frequent flats on my tractor due to the hidden cactus out here. Plenty of needles stuck in the tires, but no flats yet in 4 years on the big tractor.... The garden tractor has what seems like permanent rotating flats. I guess R4 tires are tougher than turf tires.

BEF, sorry to hear that wifey was taking up more of the middle. I hope the recliner was comfortable..... Paint has taken a big hike in price, and definitely is not the same quality as just a few years ago.... EPA must be doing their job.

I'm gonna get my motivation in gear and get out there.... some more post holes are marked out waiting to be dug.

Have my 1 week follow up for my cataract surgery this afternoon. I’m looking forward to it.

Hopefully my last day of light duty. While it has been a nice change there is a growing list of things that need my attention.

Need to pick up a ham for Easter dinner. Been invited to a friends for a small gathering. Volunteered the ham. Tend to associate turkey with Thanksgiving and Ham with Easter, but more often than not it seems we have both.

Dr pleased wit my follow up yesterday. Said to take the week to ease back into normal activity.

51F and cloudy @ 14:00, rained overnight ... WU says the nearest local station got 0.01" ... but looking outside it's way wetter than that (standing water on the lawn) Calling for a high of 55F and we might make that if the clouds move out.

Nice to see some highs of 80F (and better) in the Ten Day.

Got some seeds planted for the green bell peppers last night before I hit the rack.

Hopper feeder needs refilled, so that's next up on the menu.

Then a trip out to Menards in Kent for some larger starter pots for the strawberries and trays and covers for starting seeds.

After I get back probably take the Cub and dump cart up for some more screened compost and make up some potting soil.

Then maybe later head down to the fish room and put some more time in there.

Will need to move the potted plants inside the garage tonight (32F predicted for the low)

Bandicoots aren't that bad David. Just annoying little holes in the lawn this time of year. Mow the lawn, looks nice and next morning little holes all over. They are quite cute and hop around making little squeak noises.

34F rain arrive 3ish by 4pm rain turn to snow rain snow mix rest of the night.

Took walk around edge of the field with the rake,clean up branches limbs one leaning small tree needs to be cut also rock pop up,Mrs. needed couple things from town said I be back in no time...3 hours later so no nap.

Looks like good night for ice cream old movie.

Just trying to get my Laptop back in operation after it has been at HP for repairs for the last 3 months. Very frustrating. They couldn't get a new hard drive even though the laptop was only a couple of months old. No data could be recovered so I lost a LOT of paid for programs.

A productive day! Wind stayed relatively calm for about 4-5 hours, so took that opportunity to put up some metal on the privacy fence line. Got about halfway (100 ft) done of the posts already installed. Probably get the next half on Monday..... Then start on the next 200 ft of posts that need to be installed.

Glad I started on the metal.... we had about 4-5 sections done when people started showing up to tour the old house. This way there's no surprises. I hope he sells quickly.

Can't interrupt Easter dinner...... I might need the day to recuperate anyway....

Time to put the feet up..... maybe some ice cream later ....Thomas is teaching me bad habits......

Hair cut this morning.

Got a late start, but got a couple new siding pieces on the shed.

Never did put a man door in, so just paneled over it. Before I had a piece of OSB over the hole. Didn’t put studs in middle of door hole yet.
What’s weird is the new pieces are 1/2” taller than the old. Didn’t measure them, but it sits on same floor. So I took my battery circular saw and cut the bottom of the piece above. Will replace the worst pieces first. Really needed a new bottom plate on this side, pretty rotten. Need new posts on front corner.

Then mowed around house, 2nd time mowing, but haven’t done field yet. It now needs it.
I’m in lazyboy, feet up and the old cat asleep in my lap.

Had our turkey dinner a day early. Had a couple of neighbors over, and with our daughter there was five of us. Man, do I ever love turkey! Makes you sleepy though.

It’s getting dark now, but I’m too lazy to make a fire.

Went out and picked some deadfall from that awful windstorm that we had yesterday. Got some really good hardwood firewood! Tomorrow the daughter and I will go out and split it with my new found wood splitter that I picked up at the dump. 20 ton gas model, with a Honda engine. What a find!

I had a posting or two earlier about how the engine wouldn’t run, and then we discovered it was just water in the gas tank.

Always wanted one of those gas powered 20 ton wood splitter, and now I have one!
