Good morning!!!!

Drank first cup of coffee. 26ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 51ー with mostly sunny skies. Yesterdays trip to visit Aunt and Uncle was very enjoyable. But a long day. 105 miles each way. At least it was all freeway. They are both in there mid 80's and have a hard time traveling. Took my Aunt that lives near with us.
Off to PT this morning. Then some yard work. Hope the warmer temperatures will melt the snow in shaded areas.

Little meeting the parents story. When wife and I went to ask her parents for her hand in marriage. They said no. She needed to marry an Italian. Next day I got a call from my wife. Come and get me she said. Had all her stuff packed up and arranged for a room at a ladies house. Her parents did not come to our small wedding. But when they found out we were going to have a baby a year later. They became the best in-laws ever. Great people trying to live the way their Italian heritage had taught them. My dad was the problem on my side. His comments were, "watch out for them Italians. You know they all belong to the Mafia.". My Mom made wife's wedding dress. Randy, glad your parent meets went well.

Prayers for ED's mom.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

Great story Ron! My in laws were good folks, mother in law was a saint. Typical early clashes with father in law, both wanting to be cock of the walk, but nothing serious. Later we were best of friends.

Prayers for all, seems folks are staying busy.

Regarding statins, dr prescribed them a few years back, I told him I was not taking them. They ask me each year at my dr appt if I am taking them, still not. Brother had nasty experience, had severe muscle pains, lost strength. My numbers are fine, near limits. I did have to start on the blood pressure meds though.

66° and no measurable rain but not sunny either.

Might get taxes finished up today, at least to point of just a final review before submitting. HD should be quite happy with what I spent there last year.

You guys with Davis WeatherLink, are you aware of migration to WeatherLink 2.0? Hope I get that sorted out today.

Prayers for all in need.

Be safe
Have a great day

Glad we don't have to pay taxes. They know that if we did we would just list everything and not pay anyway. Ed

60 currently and windy. Rain expected later today/tonight.

Went and got allergy shots this morning and then to bank, lunch and county clerks office to pay vehicle taxes for the year. Surprisingly short line. Considering that all farm and commercial tags are due this month in Kentucky and it’s the last week of the month. Oh sign on door said they were closing last 2 days of the month for Good Friday and Easter.

Now back home. Just killing time. Supposed to give atleast 3 hours between shots and exposure to irritants. I’m right at my 3 hours. A little more time won’t hurt. Have to go through the build up process for this vial of shots but this is my maintenance vial for the allergy shots. Next step id to start weaning me off them. First move from weekly to every other week, then to monthly. I’ll stay monthly for a while though.

I’ve gotten along great with my wife’s parents. I’m fortunate I know. When I asked her dad to marry her his response was “you don’t drink, you don’t do drugs, so whatever makes you two happy.”

Toppop. CO detectors should be replaced every 10 years. According to the labels on the new one we just added. They are hard to test. But our service guy told us to take it outside and hold it over the flu to our gas pack to make sure it was good.

As for my guts, yes they are made of cast iron. :)
I'm not quite going to the 401, nor will I travel on the 404. (One of two main north -south roads into Toronto). I know all the back roads for both a big truck AND 4 wheelers.
3:30 P.M. and it is bedtime, 2 A.M. comes early. I'll be back on Wednesday.

I’ve gotten along great with my wife’s parents. I’m fortunate I know.

When I met my wife, she was living with an aunt (her father's sister) and an uncle in Dallas. The rest of her family was in West Virginia. Her Dad was a welder for the railroad, so they could travel via rail at no cost. However, we'd been married more than a year and had a baby before I met her parents. That summer, they came to Dallas on vacation to visit. The next summer we drove to West Virginia and I got to meet more of her family. And we were as lucky as some of you other folks; her parents were fine people and we always got along just fine and enjoyed each other's company.

Having good inlaws was a blessing to me. It sure takes a lot of stress out of a marriage.

Farmer, thanks for the tips!

Sitting at school waiting on my grandson. What a character for six years old. Riding home the other day he told me that he got a star, but on other days his behavior had been inappropriate. Couldn’t help but laugh.

When I first me my Wife in 1984, we were teenagers. I saw her out a week or so later with her dad on his bike. They were at a gas station, so I mustered up the courage and asked his permission to call his daughter. Judging by the look on his face, that was not what he was expecting from a long-haired teenage boy. He smirked and nodded in her direction, and said, "That's up to her." We dated for a short while, and went our separate ways for 19 years. After dating again for 8 years, and after I proposed to her, we went one day to her dad's house so I could ask him for permission to marry his daughter. I was 45 and she was 44. He smirked again, and said we didn't need his permission at our age. I told him I thought it was still the right thing to do nonetheless.

Her Mother died when she was 11, but I've always gotten along well with most everyone on both sides of her family.
