Off to HD this morning. Not sure why the salesperson was insistent I return today to get my usual. Vet discount. Will hope for the best.
No real work today, in fact no progress for next week as we will be in Arizona for the week.

Hand and Foot this afternoon then off the Hilo to catch red eye to LAX, arrive in Phoenix tomorrow morning.

61F and sunny @ 11:15, headed up to a high of 68F.

Got a call then a text earlier, neighbor got a dump trailer for the day, he's getting rid of the big pile of sheep manure from the guy who lived there previously and kept sheep. Told him sure, I'll take all of it you want to get rid of. So I've been up directing the guy who's hauling it on where to dump it. There's a lot of it apparently.

Looks to be pretty much fully composted at this point:

Should get the compost pile well on it's way to being replenished.

Back to bulb planting today, will keep an eye on weather for the incoming rain and do some more leaf blowing before it gets here. Right now looks like rain will show up between 17:00 and 18:00.

Looks like this rain event will only deliver around 1/2" or so ... hopefully the ground is dry enough that it will soak most of it up.

Friday looks like it will be decent, Saturday will only get to a high of 43F though.

Came across this friendly group of cops out of Modesto for training ride. Imagine getting paid to ride motorcycles!

Will be at Bashfords Hot Spring tonight getting a soak and relaxing evening. Then on to the camp out.

Imagine getting paid to ride motorcycles. Reminds me of many years ago, when I was in a 29 man recruit class for the police department. The departmental chaplain came to talk to the class and I never forgot him asking, "How many of you hope to be motorcycle officers some day?" At least 6 or 8 of the 29 held up their hands, and the chaplain said, "I always get to know the motorcycle officers better than any of the others . . . because I visit them in the hospitals."

This morning I posted the pic of the Veteran’s and Memorial plaza in the neighborhood. These are from the ceremony there today. The Falcon Flight Formation Team did the flyover. The pavers are just a few of the thousands engraved in the plaza floor.

Kyle, this is what we’ve used for years, works really well.

I can’t get the attachment to work, but google Lubeguard transmission friction modifier.

Generally it is the internal seals that have gone hard and don't seal properly allowing pressure loss. These additives soften the seals and let them work properly again.

David, RV have vents on them that can withstand road speeds. I had one like this.

HD was a mixed bag. Contrary to what other salesperson told me, I didn’t get vet discount on microwave, in essence costing me more for the extra trip.
Was expecting to pickup 2 6ft laminate countertops but only had 8ft. In stock. Not ready to pay extra just to cut off, unless I come up with a good use.

55°F and light rain this morning, going all the way up to 59° today ... which is where it is now. Heard one of the voices on the radio this morning use the "s" word for the first time this season with regards to Friday's forecast, but only for areas north of STL. Not interested in any of that stuff just yet.

Big thank you to all the veterans who've served their country with honor, regardless of what country that is.

The new bender is operated by a variety of direct drives, gear boxes, and screw drives. This one is a stationary head assembly. We do have another one with a rotating head assembly in our facility in Texas (which is currently being moved to a new location), but not here in St. Louis. All nine of our other older benders are electro-hydraulic.

Here's a YouTube video I found of the same model we just bought, doing fixed radius bends and a variable roll bend. No idea what's making that constant noise in the video, but it's not the bender. You can hear the occasional "whirring" of the motors, though.

Good afternoon! A very pleasant 69 now. Supposed to work it’s way down to the low 40’s for a high this weekend. The “S” word is in the forecast. We have not had a single fire yet this season. It has been mild enough to not need the wood burner. May change this weekend.
