Suzette wasn't bitten by a dog or anything else...(I haven't bitten her in years...)

The Blue Ridge Parkway is very close. We see The Peaks and Sharp Top from here.
Down the road is Centerville Rd which crosses 122 (to Big Island) over to 43 (to Peaks & Buchanan.
We walk around Lake Abbott quite often and up to Sharp Top. One evening wife & I at top of Sharp Top someone pulled the light switch. Dusk to pitch black! I told wife I can tell "down" so we held hands and made it.
Now I carry two small flashlights on keychain! That was an experience!
Sort of like this:
No the moral of the story is that people who can't control their dogs need to be sued or they will never change and the dog will continue to bite."I just got bit by a dog and _______ is on his way to take me to the emergency room."
Fortunately, it doesn't appear to be all that serious ... and the ironic part of it is that it was by a "vicious" pug/terrier mix ... that probably didn't weigh but about 15 lbs ...
Moral of the story: People that have dogs that they can't, or won't control, shouldn't have dogs ...
Hope everyone is having a better day than we're having here.

I can't remember the last time I made a pizza. It's been years, since before we remodeled the house in 2016/17. I need to do that again. Homemade really is the best.Read a book, stoked the fire, and made a pizza using some of that pepperoni spice. It was hot, but didn't taste much like pepperoni, though the pizza was good. And there's leftovers.![]()
My first dog (Smedley, a Doberman) had a run (overhead cable with a lead to his collar). Ol' Smeds was an escape artist though...but always returned. During one of his escapades (I was a work), he got hit by a car...rear leg was bandaged quite a while and that kind of reduced his enthusiasm for midnight runs...but, he had a long and happy life after that.Lou, I think you misread this, as I clearly did.
No one is suggesting RS sue, but the question was raised what is a dog bite "worth"?
If this is a neighbor and a known non-biter, surely the dog gets some slack. Maybe not by officials though.
Many of us are used to large properties where pets can run free.
but life in suburbia is very different.
One thing for sure, I doubt RS's wife attacked the dog...
If you have one of those dog breeds that are named, might not be a good idea to let dog run free.
When dogs bite little kids, the settlements can get very high and court doesn't care if you have insurance or not.
back from errands, have a few hours before rain comes in, think I'll suck up some leaves and stay outside as long as I can.
Rswyan prayers your wife’s arm heals quickly
Rs, prayer for your wife. I agree.
Most insurances will pay a set amount - no haggle for dog bites. I'd file a claim on their insurance.
