Good morning!!!!

We had planned on going to worship in Bedford this morning, and going to DDay memorial. Wife wasn’t feeling good early in morning, so we reset the alarm. Also since no internet, didn’t know how long to get there, etc.
This morning after breakfast we hiked the mile trail around the lake. Lodge from the other side of the lake.

After checking out we drove to check out the campground on other side of lake. RV spots are very small and no hookups at all, not even electric. Then went to camp store at bottom of the mountain that was across the lake, and discovered for $12 each you can ride a bus to almost the top, and it was about to leave, so we hopped on. The kid drove that bus up that narrow road, multiple switchbacks very fast. Once we got out, still had a breathtaking hike to very top. No way I could hike that mountain. This is looking down at the lodge from the top.

The sign post said 1.5 miles by trail to bottom. Since the driver scared the crap out of me coming up, I decided to hike down. Made it down in 1 hr 20 minutes, with rubber legs. Part of it was just to see if I could do it, but not the best decision of the day.
Since late in afternoon, ditched plans to go partway back north on the parkway, and took it south, then got off the mountain at Buchannon Va, then took interstate. Missed 3 backups on interstate by jumping off on Rt 11.
Legs still feel weak.
Darn! Should have called me...I'm close!

Good evening all. 67F for the start, cloudy, breezy. Wind from light to very brisk, sky cleared to partly cloudy then cell popped up and gave a couple of very brief showers, then became mostly cloudy, high temp was 84F and DP 65F. Chapel to start day, wife wanted scrambled eggs for breakfast, then worked on cleaning up desk to change monitors. After lunch ran the slitter for a while got most of the bucked log split and stacked. Got rear light on Volagi recharged. Still need to raise the lower shelf on the deck so monitor will fit under it.

"I just got bit by a dog and _______ is on his way to take me to the emergency room."
Most insurances will pay a set amount - no haggle for dog bites. I'd file a claim on their insurance. Drew did you have this type of claim very often, do you remember what the amount is?

The Blue Ridge Parkway is very close. We see The Peaks and Sharp Top from here.
Down the road is Centerville Rd which crosses 122 (to Big Island) over to 43 (to Peaks & Buchanan.
We walk around Lake Abbott quite often and up to Sharp Top. One evening wife & I at top of Sharp Top someone pulled the light switch. Dusk to pitch black! I told wife I can tell "down" so we held hands and made it.
Now I carry two small flashlights on keychain! That was an experience!
Sort of like this :

40° right now...today's high won't be much warmer at 45° or so. Looks like a Nor'easter will be moving in to New England today through Tuesday. Heavy wind and rain in the forecast, most in the coastal areas. Shouldn't be too bad in central Vermont though

Coffee is brewing. 41° with rain and wind this morning. Heading to 50° with continued rain. .61° most of the day. Did not get anything done yesterday. Well I did watch NASCAR. My guy won again. No plans for today. Except stay inside where it is warm and dry.

Starting to get some color in trees. Moon snuck in to picture. Upper left corner.

Buckeye, good pictures of your Birthday trip.

Rich, your work stories bring back memories of my field job. Some are of bailing out fellow field guys with the simplest of repairs. Some people just did not have the skills to troubleshoot a problem.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning all.
Everything is on the internet:
the average dog bite settlement is $45,000 with small incidents settling for $10k in small claims court if it ever got there.
Insurance companies will likely pay $10k without blinking, particularly if permanent scarring.
All homeowner policies cover dog bites unless there is fine print excluding harboring known vicious animals or even breeds.
No matter what, whoever owns the dog that bit Roy's wife is 100 percent legally responsible.
Hope Suzette heals quickly and can put this behind her, but that's likely somewhere between a 10K and 50k bite.

whole lot of rain coming in, almost three inches predicted over next day, that's going to be a mess. And I have house guests showing up tomorrow in the middle of it.

slept well last night, have trips to both supermarkets planned to get food for house guests.
I'm making a mushroom meat loaf one night and we are going out to dinner the second night.
Mushroom meatloaf is going to have a mango chutney mushroom sauce. My friends are foodies and I'm trying to make something
easy but interesting. I might put ketchup on meat loaf but they don't... ;)

have my trip next week to Washington NC all planned. Had hard time making reservations, whole area was booked up due to some large bicycle event in the area.
Will be there three days, then home and unlikely going anywhere over holidays

hope you all have a good day.

Drew, think you got the wrong folks there. Suzette wasn't bitten by a dog or anything else...(I haven't bitten her in years...)

Boy! What a cold, clammy day! Good day to be sitting in front of the woodstove, in flannel pajamas, sipping on a hot toddy or Irish coffee!!
But here I am...at work...

57 heading to lower 80's today. Last day of the warm weather. LOL.

Busy weekend. Notable achievement was getting less than half of the walnuts up off the ground.

Did get that area mowed. And I can walk without rolling on walnuts, in that area.

Also, late Friday the tank went in, and the lines were run for the drain field. Front and Side yards will require some landscaping. LOL.

Hope all have a good start to the work week. Be safe and enjoy the day. Hug your loved ones.

well, info is the same.
Flooring looks great Randy.

Fluid Film info helpful, interesting it should not be put on rubber bushings.
