Honda salesman said that initial two week delay period has passed and now they are told manufacturing is shut down with no known ETA for build.

Only a matter of time before this starts to rattle the stock market.
Are there any nearby that are almost what you want or is there no inventory?

Successful day with the pool filter. Between Sophie and I, hand truck, her Sears mower, and tow strap was able to wrestle that 400lb monster to a place I could clean it out and power wash. Tomorrow I can start refurbishing
it.
I did learn I am past my prime to manhandle 400lb objects.

Don, besides the yucca and palm trees dying, I have noticed the invasive bamboo is dead for now. Not sure if it will grow back.

But the roses are blooming like crazy after the freeze here!

Chop off the bamboo tops .. and treat the cut stems with 15% Remedy / 85% Diesel.

The bamboo around here survives the cold every winter, got to -12 several years ago and we still have near forests of the stuff.

Mostly, not really a problem with filter draining when in use. I think I waited too long after it started leaking, hence less use, which possibly allowed algae to increase in the filter. Can’t really complain, put in service in 2009. With the new valve and sand it will be like new.

Mostly_gas...that one I'd heard of and have seen some scenes of it, but not the whole movie. Don't think I want to buy it, but it'll probably be on Netflix or something like that

good morning all. Weather drying up a little, sunny and mid sixties today.
My day starts off with a root canal this morning and doesn't get much better.

got a letter from Wells Fargo and a legal settlement check for 34 dollars. Seems Wells Fargo was caught again in some
past misdeed, this time charging accounts with fees before they even opened. Cryptic explanation of
"we accessed service fees before you began using your account"

Awful lot of folks from this bank have been fired. It seems like they operated like gypsies from the Wild West for awhile, abusing their customers
with phony accounts and phony fees. I think best thing they could do is get bought out and change their name.

landlord's helper did a nice job resetting my front walkway. Now I hopefully won't have to walk through pools of water when it rains.

51 and wet from t-storm last night. Going to 65. Maybe pollen is dampened for a bit.

Mostly, probably a relief finding out what was wrong and prayers your wife will feel better soon.

Kyle, pretty gutsy letting daughter's beau drive your tractor. But will be a memory he'll always keep. 👍

Funny how many people have a Studebaker connection...kinda like Kevin Bacon.

Got up at 1am yesterday to go turkey hunting with my son...long drive, then long hike and set up before dawn. Was a great day...he called in a big boy for me, using several calls and a turkey wing to imitate the early morning fly down from roost. Before I got the gobbler, a jake flew in and tried mating one of the hen decoys for 20-30 minutes...quite the show...let's just say the decoy needed a bath afterwards. My son talked back and forth with a hen in the woods for a good part of the morning, too.

We had some work to do after the hunt, so drove back to a different woods and (don't tell any Ford or Chevy owners) I got my Tundra stuck in the mud. Driving slowly along and just sunk in "quicksand." After a little digging, he pulled me out...just needed to get it out of the hole, then it did fine. The good news: he pulled me out with his Tundra. He has big mud tires, I have little city boy Michelin tires. Of course, I get great gas mileage, a quiet and smooth ride, but get stuck.

Hope Coco doing well.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 4:15AM. A mainly sunny sky. High 73F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
There's a wind advisory up for today, but mainly for the valley below. We did see some 20MPH gusts yesterday morning, but it calmed down by noon.

Sorry you got stuck, Wng. But good you were teamed up with your son for a quick bail out. Sounds like the turkeys made it all worth while, even if none came home with you.

I tried to open an account with Wells Fargo when I retired, Drew, but they wouldn't give me a credit card. Now it turns out they did me a huge favor.:ROFLMAO:

Got up early yesterday and made one run with the tractor to the wood pile, skidding three nice oak logs home. Got stopped by a traffic control lady, who very nicely told me one of the environmental people had reported me to his boss, and to not be surprised if I got stopped again. Didn't happen, but by the time I got back for a second load, the big track hoe was hogging the road and I couldn't get by. Went home and got the building permit application filed, had lunch, and by then a big box truck with a mechanical claw on it had taken all the wood away. I caught up with him later and got him to set one oak log aside for me, and found another at a different pile, both of which I snagged. I found two more piles, but the trees were larger than the FEL would handle unless I cut them, and it was too dry and breezy to risk it. So all told I ended up with a dozen decent logs, which is a dozen more than I had before, but about half what I could have had with just a tiny bit of cooperation from the loggers. The box truck driver confirmed that all the wood gets chipped, most going to a waste burning power plant.

The road block also prevented this week's trash pickup, so I need to get that into a big plastic bag before the flies find it.

Also heard that the front differential for the van is done, so need to figure out how to get it shipped down here from Portland. Should learn more about that today.

Not quite sure what I'll get into today; it's an opportunity rich environment!

Good Morning
42 going to 63 with clear skies today.

Yesterday went according to plan, made a lot of progress in the shop. I spent over an hour looking for a tray of KEPS nuts that I misplaced before I went to hardware store and bought a few boxes of 6-32 and 8-32 to hold me over until I trip over my tray.
Picked up sheets of Baltic Birch plywood from my supplier, surprisingly the price was only up a few percent from my last order. As regular lumber and plywood prices have skyrocketed, I was prepared for the worst, but pleasantly surprised.

I get my second shot of Pfizer this afternoon, I’ll stay productive in the shop until it’s time to go. I’m curious how wet the ground is after a bit over an inch of rain in the last couple days. It was drying up quite nicely before that.

51°F and light rain this morning, going up to 64° today. This rain overnight was kind of a surprise, not showing up in the forecast until late yesterday evening. Hope it doesn't put a crimp in my plans to get some grass mowed after work today. There is more rain forecast for Saturday, so it needs to get done this week.

Spent much of the evening last night tweaking on some of my guitar presets in the Line 6 Helix modeler. A few of them seem so much louder than the rest. Checking them again with the input meters in the Reaper recording software confirmed that they were all pretty much the same level (exactly how I'd set the levels in the first place). Just chalked it up to these tones being more mid-frequency focused, so seemingly louder to the ear in that sensitive range. Oh, well ... had fun playing around with it anyway. Stayed up too late, too, as usual. That thing is a deep rabbit hole.

Hope the doctors have found and resolved your wife's issue, Mostly_.

Sounds like a typical "left hand / right hand" situation with your logging folks, RNG. Good to score some free-ish wood nonetheless.

The surest way to find what you've misplaced, Paul, is always to go buy new. Works every time.
