The tornado sirens were sounding and the TV news was reporting a tornado right above the neighborhood. The Tempest weather station pick up the 60+ mph wind. No damage here - don’t think it touched ground.

Poured first cup of coffee. 46° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 68° with cloudy skies this morning. Got more cleaning of garden pond done yesterday. Then got drone out and did some flying. No special videos. Was practicing using some of the settings and features. But is was a shirt sleeve day. I bought a 2300 watt generator from Sam's Club. Could not get it to start except by pulling on starter cord about 30 times. After talking to manufacture tech. Put it back on box and took it back. I need a small generator. But it needs to start on a couple of pulls. Son came over and we installed a new Reese Equalizer hitch on his trailer. Couple of weeks before he get to take on the road and see how it works on his trailer and truck.

31 going to a sunny 65. Rain in the forecast the next 6 days.
Alien-Hope wife's eye is ok. Happy belated birthday to Sophie!
Not much going on here. Weather has been great so getting more branch pick up and raking done.(Never heard of around here in March!) Great big oak tree riddled with ant tunnels blew over the last big wind storm. Thank goodness it got caught in some pines as it could have smashed into my garage. Neighbor is having someone come look at taking it down the rest of the way as it's on his property.
Have a window repair job and a porch floor install on the agenda for family if and when weather cooperates.
@Thomas - Wife found some super size muffins at the store! 6 inch plate for reference.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

good morning all. Warming trend coming in, after some rain tomorrow I see several days in the 70's.

wow, lots of prayers for good health needed this morning, Mostly best wishes for good outcome for your wife.
That has to be scary for her. Same for Alien. Ted, major bummer, sorry you are going backwards. Did you overdo it?
Not lecturing, just concerned.
Buppies, glad the stitches are coming out. May it be a long long time before you need any more.

And on that thought I am off to ortho doc this afternoon for left shoulder, can hardly raise my arm without lots of pain.
I'd be happy if they could deal with this with an epidural but I'm sure they will suggest some procedure I'm not going to like.

Nice pic of the Turkey, Ron! I would love to try wild Turkey, but I am afraid SWMBO won’t go for it. So, domestic it is. (Has to be organic, however, with a good life - up until the last day!)

Yes, Drew, prayers for lots of folks this morning, and happy belated birthday to Sophie. Mine is next, I guess, on April 1. (Cue the April fools jokes, and here is one - my sister was born on the exact same day 1 year later!)

Good morning folks

29 now highs around 65 and sunny with light winds today.

Wife and I and the dog took a ride to the coast yesterday and had lunch. Not a cloud in the sky, the breeze was a bit chilly but the sun made up for it, a very pleasant day.

The yard is still to squishy for any cleanup, a few more sunny days should fix that. I’m anxious to do something with the yard and gardens.

Not much planned for today may take another ride or just enjoy the warm weather and putter around.

Prayers for our country, I hope all this craziness stops
Stay safe and healthy
Enjoy your day everyone

not sure I posted these, hope I didn't already.
raised garden in, and potatoes are planted.
Also planted flowers in a few planters, and then soaked them in deer repellant.
I looked out this morning and plants were still there (y)

Good morning, 42°F and going up to 61. Wind calm. 30% chance of showers.

The shopping trip was a bust. The price on a 20' C-can delivered works out to almost $4,ooo.oo For that price I will pick up another portable shelter and a couple of extra roof covers and I will still be money ahead.

I may try to get the BH out of the snow today and get it on the tractor. Don't hold your breath though, but it must be soon as I have a grave to dig before the ground is thawed out.

Stay safe all

Good Morning
It’s 35 on its way to 65 today. Clear and calm, clouding up later with rain overnight.

Yesterday was a wonderful sunny day. Didn’t get much done in the shop, but daughter and grandson came to visit, got to BJ’s and picked up some nice pork shoulders for the smoker, along with some other stuff, including Rainex wiper blades for less than half what I paid at the auto parts store last week.

Then my friend came over and we played music for about 3 hours.I think we played everything from Bob Wills to John Fogerty to George Gershwin, with visits to Merle Haggard and Doug Sahm and some of his own original’s along the way. I sure hope that he keeps up his weekly visits, as I’m having a ball.

After that I did putter around in the shop, laying out some Baltic Birch that I’m going to cut up this morning.

Today I’m going to cut up the aforementioned wood and then go get a vaccination!

It’s been a while in getting an appointment, our state (PA) and county (Bucks) have not been the most proactive about getting the vaccine out there. Not sure where the reason is, but the rate of distribution seems to be increasing, so my guess is that it’s a supply issue. Many of the more rural counties have done much better, and had I been willing to travel, I could have gotten an appointment sooner.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High 68F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.
No rain in the 10-day. Paging David and the Pineapple Express!🙏
High wind advisory for today. Hope it's nowhere near what you saw yesterday, Don. That must have been scary!

California hasn't been very good about getting the vaccine out either, Paul. I'm headed to the county fairgrounds for a shot this morning, but none of the maps I've found show the building I'm supposed to go to. I take some comfort knowing I'm not the only person that's confused, and that there's sure to be a line...

A long time ago I had a half barrel planter like that, Drew, with a lime tree in it. I put it on one of those Harbor Freight furniture dollies so I could wheel it into the garage when frost was forecast. Back then the dolly only cost five bucks, and now I see they're going for three times that!

Sorry the shipping container prices weren't better, Bill. I wonder if it has anything to do with CV19 slowing down freight between here and China, making the containers less available?

Too much bad medical news this morning! Hope you all get fixed up sooner rather than later...

Yesterday I finally heard back from the building department on what hoops I need to jump through to get a new water tank permitted. Couldn't have taken more than a few minutes to put together the reply, but I've been waiting since last Thursday. It was a rainy day then, and now it seems a shame to waste good weather filling out paperwork.

Lots of wildlife in the wood I bucked and split yesterday, ranging in size from termites not much bigger than the commas on this page, to a grub as big as my middle finger. Seems like half of what I split ended up in the junk pile, it was so badly infested. This was the first real use the new-to-me Stihl 261 has seen, and it took more yanks on the cord to get it going the first time than I'd have liked. Ran great for a while, then it decided it needed a break and wouldn't idle. Had lunch, then fiddled with the idle setting enough to keep it running, so maybe it's just getting broken in? It's a heavy son-of-a-gun, and my back and arms are sure feeling it this morning. Makes me appreciate the little Makita more than ever, but the Makita wouldn't have been able to get through some of the rounds the Stihl made short work of yesterday. All that fooling around meant I only filled up the rest of that first pallet before quittin' time rolled around. If the rest of the trees out there are the same as what I found yesterday, maybe I should just save myself the trouble and feed 'em to the burn pile.

Also heard back from my buddy about his move to Klamath Falls. It seems he had some trailer problems, in that he couldn't get one as big as he'd have liked, and the U-Haul he did get had a couple bad tires he had to replace out of his own pocket. As a result he had to leave some stuff behind, so if any of you want some old BMW motorcycle parts, I know where there's a pile of 'em free for the asking... :ROFLMAO:
