Good morning all, 38 this morning going to 56 and sunny. 30% chance of tonight. Hope to run to lowes and pickup a couple things and start milling the 2x4's for the warp rack. Going to knock the rounded edges off and then start building.

Rigustafson, did you see the hair flying? I bet it takes a very long time to pick the hair off of it. I think he would be ahead to take his time and not make a mess.

Kyle, Will surely be praying, We seem to go through seasons of hard and seasons of easier. Seems fear is often a problem.

Tongulara, Yep, I agree, gut as soon as you can. Better meat.

Drew, My wife's cousin is raising hemp, haven't heard if it is a money maker or not. He also makes his own Diesel.

Yes, I bought a couple of chain saws from them. Not sure why they closed, maybe three to four years ago???

In that time frame Mr Stanley could not find people willing to work with knowledge of tractors and farm equipment

Take it steady Buckeye. We all want to hear from you, however a bit of quiet rest is maybe what your body needs to recover.

CWB, tung is nice and quick. The old saying here for "proper" stock oil is to apply it once a day for a week, once a week for a month and once a month for a year. After that it's almost ready to shoot with !

RNG, paperless is great, except now I don't get quite as much heat from the wood burner.


I finally got around to buying a few wireless thermometers so my wife can keep an eye on the temperature in her greenhouse and I can see how cold it is without moving from our cosy kitchen. That was the general idea, then Max reminded me he has other reasons we should go outside each morning, so I had to put my jacket on after all. We went just far enough to see that the roof and the pastures had turned solid white, hear all yesterdays puddles go crunch instead of splash, feel the metal catch on the gate greedily suck the heat from my fingers and watch a robin search for an elusive breakfast. Back inside the electronic box had converted all that into just two numbers. -2.9C / 26.7F

I missed the boat big time cold coming to Europe as well as eastern US and Mid West

Drinking first cup of coffee. 36° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 49° with morning rain. Yesterdays dental visit was for a filling. No pain killer. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Dentist need to learn to do this every time. But a terrible time with after taste in mouth. Tree trimming is on hold. To many doctor visits and visiting nurses until sometime next week. Wife's health has stayed stable for over a year. But doctors think she needs to get some therapy to keep it that way. At least it's home therapy. But with visit almost every day. I have to stay close to help with speech. Another excuse is I want to use new chipper on the trimmings. Going to be a long 2 to 3 weeks waiting delivery.
