63F and partly cloudy @ 13:30, headed up to a high of 66F. Rain due in after midnight.

Noticed this morning the purple and yellow crocus are now up ... (y)

Called and spoke to Roberto at Menards yesterday. They only had one of the items I had ordered six of ... said inventory was wrong. Not sure if that's really accurate ... or if they just couldn't find them.

Kubota moved around back and bucket unloaded.

Hopper and two sunflower tube feeders refilled.

Glued up and clamped small chip on barn owl box.

All fish fed.

Removed snowblower from Kubota and put box blade on.

Unloaded pallet of cat litter from van, still have some of that left to put away before the rain gets here tonight.

Cleaned up leaves in planting bed in front of garage and hauled debris up to compost pile. Worked for a while on incorporating the remaining grass clippings from last year into the pile and getting them covered. Probably have about one bucketload left to do.

Gathered up recyclables and loaded into van.

More clean up in garage.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day today ... (y)

Ron - nice turkey pic ... (y)

Ted - hope they can get things sorted out for you and locate/remedy whatever is causing the inflammation.

Mostly - hope wife's issue was not a heart attack.

David - hope Sophie enjoys her night out and birthday dinner.

Glad to hear folks are having success with getting vaccinated. Still appears to be a considerable problem here I'm afraid.

Dad's birthday was April 1st - he always liked to refer to himself as an "April fool".

So much to do, So little time. Why did I ever retire?
As I've grown older, I learn about more things I'd like to do, and I keep running into things have no choice but to do. I'm grateful I had the option to retire, even though there's little chance I'll get them all done because the list is getting longer faster than it's getting shorter. 🤣

Back from the Dr's.... good news, no blood clots found. No other speculation from the doc as to the cause of the edema.... oh well. On to the next...

Drew, there are still no cruise ships leaving the US ports because:

“The CDC lifted its no-sail order in October and replaced it with a conditional set of rules; industry officials say the 40 pages of rules are either indecipherable or impractical, such as a measure requiring cruise lines to conduct “simulated voyages” with volunteer passengers.“I refer to it as the ‘impossible-to-sail order’ because no business could operate profitably,” Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral’s chief executive officer, said.”

If the CDC's "impractical" conditional set of rules do not change they will expire Nov. 1, 2021.

LS good news but what's next, continuing on with PT?

Back from HD. Picked up their 2nd least expensive push mower. I like the larger rear wheels.

Primary job is to mow the dogs’ fenced area. Chassis of the old mower has rotted out beyond fixing, no longer safe. Had been half looking for replacement body, gave up. This was a $50 mower I had picked up about 12 years ago. Guess I got my money’s worth.

Started raining about time I got gas in the new one, started 3rd pull from empty. Put it in the tractorshed.

so tomorrow.

Yes, Drew, prayers for lots of folks this morning, and happy belated birthday to Sophie. Mine is next, I guess, on April 1. (Cue the April fools jokes, and here is one - my sister was born on the exact same day 1 year later!)

My oldest brother and sister are same day 2 years apart.

The flail mower video that Roy posted inspired me to run up to the farm and dig out the bush hog. I was pretty pleased that everything started. Sorted out some downed branches and got the meadows mowed. I am always amazed what a 18 hp tractor and a 4 foot bush hog will do. Of course now I have seen a bunch of other stuff that could use some attention. It is supposed to be nice today but rain tomorrow. That will keep me from going too wild. I've got to ease into it.:)

I wasn't going to watch the new Medcram video about covid and children but it turned out to be interesting. It is amazing how our understanding of this disease is changing over time. I have the feeling that there is a lot more to learn.

Pace yourselves guys and gals

Chris

I used a 5 ft cutter on my 20 hp Massey. Little tractor did good.

Got home late. Interstate shut down due to tanker on fire so took back roads. Took me near by old coworkers house, so drove by to see if I could find it, he was outside bringing recycles to curb. I wasn’t sure it was him hadn’t seen him in probably 6 years. He didn’t recognize me till I told him who I was. We talked for over an hour, was a great impromptu meeting. Then realized my low gas light was on, so got half a tank.
Called dad to say happy birthday. 2 people brought him food for supper.

Don, I am assuming that PT will continue as scheduled, as long as the edema decreases. The circulatory specialist has to send the report over to the ortho specialist, then he has to sent a report back to PT.... hopefully it will get done in a reasonable amount of time....

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with light rain this morning. Heading to 69° with mix of sun and clouds in afternoon. Worked a little more on pond. Looks like I will need to dig down to pipe that feeds waterfall on garden pond again. May get that started today.

good morning all.
Going to be a rainy day but in a few hours I'm headed South to VA for an overnight with my older brother and wife in Markham. Still have some more stuff stored in their
basement I need to bring home. Going to go out the turnpike and down 15, seems to be a nice road. 4 1/2 hours, not too bad a drive.

ortho doc looked at my shoulder and said that's not good, and of course promptly ordered an MRI which I will get later this week on shoulder.
hope you all have a nice day.
