Ron, kind of late "after" Christmas. :)

Drew, I don't see any "meat" in that salad, maybe let Don have a closer look at those pics.

Wngsprd, cleaning deer just might be the reason I usually don't shoot them. My trainee has a permit to shoot up to 4 does at his heavily infested lease.

I washed every leaf very carefully, did not want a creepy crawler in the house. But Don would find it...

I love collards! I can eat them every day.

Reaction from local friend who I'm going to give half of my collards to...
never quite the same as "store bought"

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 7:00AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 57F. Winds light and variable.

Didn't spend as much time in the garage as I'd have liked to yesterday, instead wading through invoices from the German motorcycle parts supplier trying to straighten out a billing mess they'd caused. Between the language barrier and their carelessness, the correct parts aren't going into the box, invoices don't reflect what's shipped, and some parts make it onto the invoice but aren't shipped.:banghead::pullinghair:

Did manage to finish the rear wheel though. Not as straight as I'd have liked, but I found that the rim itself has been bent in many places so that the width varies around the circumference. I tried whacking it with a 16 oz deadblow hammer backed up with a lead block, but had no luck in getting it to move. Ended up with about 0.06" runout and up-and-down, not quite to factory spec but the tire will have more than that. Got a half dozen spokes replaced in the front wheel when I noticed a beautiful sunset shaping up. Rode up to get the mail, stopped at the firewood pile and gathered up a couple armloads, then went inside and put a nice piece of salmon into some water to defrost. Watched the sunset while I got the campfire started, me and the deer and geese. Surprised that doe was alone; usually last year's fawns are still following her around, along with several of her sisters. A couple fingers of Bourbon made a very nice end to the day.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday...

The low this morning was 17*, yesterday's high was 38*. Today's going to be partly cloudy with high in the mid 40's

Got the snow moved yesterday. The ground wasn't frozen so moved some gravel with the snow. I need to work on packing down the snow that's left to make a base for the blower. I had made a roller out of a home made sod roller that weighs about 200 pounds. It doesn't work the way I thought it would. I think I'll go back to some kind of sled type. I had a home made sled type before and it worked better. I pull them with a 4 wheeler it, works pretty good.

Hope everyone has a nice day
CWB.

Ron, I usually take my decorations down after Christmas. :D
I’m trying to get back into the world. Looked a UTV yesterday, American Landmaster, not super fancy but would serve my purpose very well. Only 20 mph, and 20 mpg, not fast, but I don’t need speed, I need towing and hauling, it comes with 2” receiver hitch, Dump body, good ground clearance and it’s American made, which still means something to me. I was told I could get it for $4800. I’m going to decide soon.

I see it's fuel injected, what brand of motor is in it?

66°F and no rain

Powerwashing done for this round. Amazing how such a seemingly simple task can make my body ache.

Easy day ahead, me and the TV

I like greens. We used to get beet greens cooked up. Always thought of them as sort of special but in likely hood it was just my parents stretching the food dollar. Seem to recall turnip greens maybe once, would have to surmise my Dad must not have liked as I don’t recall a repeat even from our garden. Personally, I was never that crazy about the turnips, but they were a staple.

Be safe
Have a great day.

Just kidding Drew.

I think I would add the collards to my beet burgers in the food processor.

42˚ no wind, sunny skies this morning now up to 69˚.

Thanksgiving was nice at Mom's. We cleaned her flowerbeds and moved all Dad's trailers in a row by his tractor shed after airing up the tires.
