Lot going on, best wishes for Whipper to be found today, Billy's knee to stop swelling, and for everyone to get the rain they need.
Happily the weather station says .9 inches came last night as the system is clearing out right now. That will take care of a lot of grass seed down nicely.
We are still at about a third of normal rain for the month.
Going to work on the carryall again this morning, ran out of bolts, miscounted by a few, and maybe get that finished today.
First a trip downtown to go back to Lowes for some more Cherry Gloss paint.
As I've mentioned before, I am awash in the wrong color red rattle cans. But happily, oh so happily, at least the Cherry Gloss I bought to replace the Gravely paint,
which was too far off, turned out to be an almost perfect match for Massey Red. So I used the wrong paint for the Gravely to paint the new little Massey and it worked out great.
Well, not true. I really botched the paint job. I guess I recovered in the wrong time period, and now I have what looks like a cracked glass finish. sigh. Doesn't even look good from five feet out, my performance parameter

though it's perfectly well painted and protected. Not sure whether I want to leave it looking like "working tractor" or really make it look nice.
Since I just ordered a small cultivator from Everything Attachments to pull behind it and weed my neighbor's weeds (being the terrible neighbor that I am...) so his fields of collards aren't overgrown, I'm not sure I'm going to make it look nicer.
Christmas decorations going up in stores. Always a jarring sight to me. Remember when you had to get past Thanksgiving first? Now you don't make it to Halloween any more before the xmas festivities start. Actually it's often so much work putting up lights and stuff that I can see wanting to get some additional time out of it.
