Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 5:15AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will give way to occasional showers during the afternoon. High 62F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 60%.
Showery weather through Wednesday this week, but then the sun comes out and highs will be in the upper 60s next week.

February already. That was quick.

Got in touch with the gate guy and sent him a video. Now we'll see what he recommends.

No luck with stuck valve, so it's time to add some heat to the equation, and maybe pull off the handle to get better access for the penetrating oil.

Truck is loaded and trailer hitched, but the wheel bearings seemed a bit loose when I checked them yesterday so I think I'll regrease them.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

Good Morning,
It’s 25 out and has been snowing since yesterday morning, I awoke at 5am to the sound of sleet hitting the skylight. Got up and peed, and went back to bed, just woke up again now. Not supposed to get above 30 and wind will pick up as snow continues until late tonight.

I guess I’ll get up and fix breakfast and do the first pass on the plowing. Wife is apparently in the barn and the big dog says she wants to go out. When she speaks, I listen

If he recommends High Quality Automatic Solar Gate Openers & Accessories he is a good gate guy.

This is the gate Wrought/n/Harvey installed at the farm and Mike also had one.

Good morning! 37˚F, heading to the 60s, clear sunny sky.

National Texas day as Thomas pointed out but fittingly so it is also National Serpent Day.

We always called Lucas “the prince of darkness”, but in either regard just be thankful it’s not Magnetti Morrelli.

IME, the Lucas alternator equipped bikes pretty much work. What doesn’t work is the clueless working on the Lucas system and causing more harm than good. Biggest issue with these systems are wiring gauge is a bit light in some areas and relying on chassis grounds. Too much resistance. I make my own harnesses to fix everything or modify existing harnesses to address ground issues. And the aftermarket has some excellent products to improve charging regulation.

Now a dynamo system.......I am losing hair that I am pulling out with a dynamo that is being a PIA........

good news from oncologist, PET scan came back negative, no spread, all good.
I asked him if I could start buying green bananas again and he said yes.
that's a big load off my mind. Now I can start thinking longer term.

nasty combo out of sleet, hail and snow, but it's slowly accumulating
Decided it was just too miserable out to go out in car

thanks.

pebbly snow coming down, another inch but cleaned off walkway and really laid on the ice melt to see if it will last.
I know it won't.
Put more birdseed out, and it was a mob scene by the time I got back inside.

Fiat - Fix It Again Tony

Yugos were Fiats built in Yugoslavia. Their reputation for reliability was miserable....

Do you know why Yugos have rear window defrosters standard?

To keep your hands warm while you push them in the winter

Italian and Spanish vehicle electrics are some of the most bizarre mobile electrical systems I have dealt with. While the Mediterranean diet may be good for heart health.....it causes an altered state of reality in designing electrical systems......l

32°F and cloudy with some light flurries this morning, going up to 36° today. Looks like a fairly moderate week here (50° Thursday), then single digit lows this weekend.

Got the garage cleaned up Saturday morning. Wife said the boy told her he'd vacuumed out there, but then cut another board. There was definitely more than one board's worth of saw dust on the floor and all over the work bench, and the table saw had it caked all over. The shop vac was empty and clean. He didn't vacuum jack squat. Aggravating. But, the garage is nice and clean now, so there's that.

It rained here all day Saturday and into Sunday morning. Then, it was just windy and cold all day. Wind was still blowing about 15-20mph this morning.

Condolences to you and your family, check.

Glad no one got hurt by the flying debris, Rick.

Welcome to the GM thread, Solitary Man.

Congrats on the green banana results, Drew.

Those are pretty good. I can relate to the hand warming effect.

I had a next door neighbor back in the late '80s who had a Yugo that sat in his driveway for years. It needed a new carburetor, but they were apparently not so easily obtained. It was still there when I move four years later.

Good morning all, 28 going up to 33, 6" of snow and now sleeting.
Took me 1 hour to do the 700 feet of private road, my driveway and neighbors driveway (she's home alone today with two little ones)
7' plow on my little Massey did fine!

Still calling for another 3-5 inches, we'll see.
Lucas on my fathers 1950 triumph Thunderbird, had to rewire a lot of it! One wire ran underneath the spring loaded seat. Perfect for removal of insulation.

Drew - so happy to hear PET scan good. glad snow blower is working.

Brother on LI is in the middle of a white out.
Friends in North NJ already have 18"

Did my next project pitch and got the green light to start assembling for investment board approval! Means I will be busy this year again, and stay employed.

Stay safe and be well and hope everyone's heat is working, including Buppies

Dad says it's only 70 in San Diego , still no vaccine for him yet, said a few more weeks till next supply comes in.

One year of the Yogos had an oil passage issue with not being properly bored out. so anyone who took their Yugo above 80 found out quick whether they had this problem. Used to see them smoking by the side of the road all the time. The carpet inside was painted on, wonder how you would ever take it out :)

Just wait 5 years and it would rust out.
