You Carolinians are on your own when it comes to BBQ. While I like it fine, I prefer the TX or KS ways a little bit better. I think the high acidity does it for me.

It's funny, but here in Maryland, the so called roadside BBQ chicken uses a sauce very similar to NC pork BBQ.

The low was 30* this morning and had a good frost on the truck. High was 58* yesterday and wind. Should get up into the 70's today with some more wind.
Didn't get much done yesterday. Played with a welder for most of it.
Did look for some AWOL 4-H lamps for a few hours. They are still AWOL.

My mom was born and raised in a little mining town on the southwest shoulder of Pikes Peak. Still have cousins living there. Was there over the Memorial Day weekend.
I miss the part of Colorado. But it's not like it was when I was a kid.

Good morning! 76˚ heading to 96˚ 0% rain, hot south wind @10mph.

Our Texas magazine - "Texas Monthly" list the top BBQ places in Texas and our little BBQ joint in Lexington Tx got the highest rating, again. The people in town are complaining about the traffic and long lines on Saturday morning (the only time they are open) and there is no BBQ left for the locals.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 8:00AM. Sunny. High around 90F. Winds light and variable.

I could'a used one of those fancy clocks yesterday, Don. I got to noon or so before I realized it was only Tuesday instead of Wednesday. But why in the world would someone make a clock for old folks like me that doesn't synchronize with the atomic clocks in Denver so it automatically compensates for Daylight Savings Time? That's just crazy!

I love BBQ, doesn't matter where it came from. Now beans, I'm not a fan of Texas style. Like my sugar and molasses too much.:laughing:

And speaking of BBQ, ordered a big buck Weber BBQ yesterday, from some fly-by-night outfit called Joe's AV. They're rated F by the BBB, mainly for bait-and-switch and hidden charges, so I'm expecting a high pressure sales call sometime today to kick off the scam. At best I can have a little fun with 'em on the phone trying to hang on to the heavily discounted price and "today only" coupons; worst that'll happen is I have to get BofA to reverse the charges. Which as of now haven't even hit the card yet,

Hopefully finished mowing for the year yesterday, at least up on the steep meadow. Another week and the whole lot will get a dose of glyphosate to kill the star thistle and poison oak, and the heat and lack of rain will keep anything else from getting a new start.

Oil pressure sender started leaking on one of the motorcycles the other day, so I'll pick up another one when I'm in town later. Darn thing only lasted 24 years.:laughing:

Little after 6am fed trimmer 2 tanks of gas,than veg store for more cuke plants...fawn prints where cukes were.this evening plan attending old car showing at local dairy twirl also good time.
