Pretty spring morning, 55-60 today, depending on whom you believe. I'm waiting for the last freeze to pass so I can start the flowers.
Drew, if you water those willows a lot, they will be 7'-8' by fall.
UNC is my team, and they scared me, bracket aside, that was busted last week.

Nearly 60 yesterday, 23 this morning.

Grand daughter wanted to get the fisher price power wheels jeep out yesterday (nice sunshine day). It was given to us a couple years ago, started cleaning it up, put the battery on the charger... grand daughter loved it, she is not yet 3 but too big for it. She has trouble lifting her foot off go pedal, she is really jammed in. We went last night looking for something that would handle her size better. I wanted to get her the dune racer (others on TBN have made positive comments) but my daughter was wanting a pink carriage that cost twice as much... we might end up with the gator xuv550.. good fun shopping. The pink carriage was 24v and big. There are two versions of the dune racer, one is called extreme and has wide tires that are better for hard surfaces, the other has tires better for soft surfaces...

Good morning all,

56 this morning and looks to be a nice day.

I have finished all my pasture seeding and now am very anxious for some rain.

My sledding days are growing short; I got spoiled this year with lots of powder days. While there is still plenty of snow up high I just can't bring myself to ride on hard/slushy snow.

Busy weekend. Got my tractor fixed to the point where I can lift the FEL and mowed the yard. Only got half of it done.
My friends and their families came in for a visit. We caught 10 flounders Saturday morning. I stuffed them with crab meat and we had them for lunch. Their hungry boys just inhaled those flounders.

Just telling my wife yesterday how much I would like a stuffed flounder. Looks mouth watering.

46°F and partly cloudy skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Big one-day temperature jump even for us this time of year.

Got some Ratchet Rake time Saturday leveling the ground behind the well house in preparation for a new fence. Handy tool, that thing. Nice to run the tractor a bit, too.

There is a lull in the remodeling action right now as we wait for a few final pieces to arrive; new shower to replace the fudged custom jobby, and two more kitchen cabinets to fill a measurement foible there. The granite countertop is scheduled for delivery next Monday, which will complete the major kitchen work. Still need to install the hood over the stove, and the dishwasher. We started moving stuff upstairs, too. When I got home from work Friday night, the Wife didn't even want to wait until we'd eaten dinner before she was asking to move the bed into the new master bedroom. So, we've been sleeping up there all weekend. Me and the boy moved the kitchen table and china cabinet up into the dining area of the kitchen Sunday morning. Wifey was pleased with that sight. Got a broken weld repaired on one of the sunroom chairs yesterday, too, as I finally got use of the garage again.

That stuffed flounder looks delicious, CajunRider.

43F and cloudy @ 12:15 ... high predicted to hit 50F this afternoon with a good chance of rain starting around 20:00.

Wife and I worked in the basement yesterday, cleaning and starting to sort through 4 households worth of junk to see what can be gotten rid of.

I also removed the rest of the built-in book shelves over the cabinets in the family room in the basement. These are on an outside wall which is paneled. I suspect that there is no insulation underneath the paneling, which is probably why the room always seems chilly in the winter.

The plan is to remove the cabinets which are about 12' long and pull the paneling, and if no insulation to insulate and then refinish the wall with drywall that can be painted. The paneling (which is on three walls) is dark ... which makes the room itself seem dark, since the only source of outside light is a sliding glass door (no windows)

Thinking about using the cabinets, which appear to be made out of high grade plywood and are around 12' long, as a stand for the 100G Long tank. The feasibility of that is still questionable, in terms of moving and actually getting it into the fish room ... which promises to be a real treat.

60 degrees, lovely day, planted all 25 willow trees after digging eight more holes with the tractor and phd, and then planted six rose bushes. Put the outdoor potted plants back outdoors after they had been hiding in the garden shed for the last four days, seemed quite happy in there too, a little light and it stays nice and warm in there on sunny days. If I ever get the time to grow things from seeds, maybe next year...the garden shed has propane heat, light and running water in a sink. Clearly this was done to keep the prior owner's wife happy. I put a new roof on the shed and painted it, that's all I've had time for. If I could just get some energy instead of sitting around all day...;)

does anyone have a good recommendation for a fitbit type device without the fancy name?
After blowing off the entire lane with my blower and then walking the weedeater around the house, it reminded me I really ought to track my activity.
Might be able to justify an extra piece of pie...
