Finally back home 45 minutes to remove 1.5 hours for test results three hours to reconstruct one sore puppy here. Went with wife and son to do some shopping ate dinner then slept on the way home

Asked the doc about Vulcan ears he said next time I came to visit he would have times set up for this procedure. The final sewing was done by a resident slow but sure only one oops was said when stitch broke. The little flap beside my ear had to be reconstructed taking skin from the face beside the ear. All the existing skin was removed going down to cartridge. No bending lifting or strenuous activity for seven days. Showers out for a while which will make me ripe after a day or two. Hopefully this is it for me

Fit bits or I phones are really good for keeping up with activity 10000 steps a day good for us all

Drew wish I was on that island walking in the warm island breezes on an uninhabited beach enjoying the star lite night

All that talk of stuffed flounder sounds really good

RNG maybe your van will be done before my bathroom

Buckeyefarmer that's a lot of miles

Hope you get to feeling better soon Bupps. You get those Vulcan ears and you want have to yell "What or Huh" to your wifey. I usually yell that just because I'm not listening. :)

Glad you're over with that part, Buppies. A week is a long time, but take it easy and do what the doctor sez. Iff'n ya don't, he'll likely extend the sentence, and none of yer TBN buds want that!

We just managed to escape the frost last night. Had intended to go look at a few different greenhouses today, however my wife now tells me there is snow in the forecast for that area, so looks like it will put back for a day or two. Aluminium or cedar, rectangular or octagonal - almost too much choice.

Bups, good to ear you survived both surgery and shopping.

Buckeye, that is an impressive mileage, even for a Honda.

42 out this AM. Nice day for yard work. Coyotes are howling in the front. Hear at least 3 of them. Not much to do today. Finally made the first ice cream run yesterday. Place was closed. OMG. LOL. Have a great day all. Be safe.

Maple sap should run good today as snow level drops. :)

Enjoy the day all.

showers this morning heading out and a nice warm day afterwards. I did too much yesterday so trying to have a little "balance" I'm chilling today. Unfortunately my helpers told me at midnight they were coming at 9am so I had to leave a long list for them to do. Things like taking off the phd which I can't do by myself any more. When the whole thing fell over last time, I said nope, not going to do that by myself any more, stand or no stand. It's a big phd, very heavy with a two foot auger. Thankfully it fell in the other direction but the lesson was well learned. Living and working by myself I have to be extra careful and always carry a phone. Which I do not want to try dialing with an auger on top of me. We all know what happens when machinery falls on us, don't always live to talk about it later.

The place where I bought my rv carport also sells outdoor furniture, mostly the plastic variety, but nice stuff, heavy duty, for leaving outside. I'm looking for a swing and several chairs.
The guy who owns the place is almost totally blind, has to hold paperwork up to about two inches from his eye, really sad to see him struggle but he is a happy guy and makes the most of things. Everything on his property, and there's a lot of merchandise, is lined up exactly straight, all in order. He knows how many steps to get to every row from the front door. Remarkable. Because he mentioned he wanted to work on an old Cub Cadet with his grandson, and I just happen to have a Cub Cadet coffee table book, with all the photos, which I used for my 1968 CC renovation, I thought I'd loan him the book for a little while and he can research what model he wants to restore. My name is stamped inside for sure. So here I am giving a guy who can barely see at all a big picture book... I think he will have a great deal of fun with it too, sitting down with his grandson and at least looking at the pictures together.
That's the kind of thing I miss not having kids....

speaking of which, my next door fireman neighbor is groggy eyed and exhausted after a week of having a first newborn son come home. Both parents are amazed at how
much work a baby is. Ya think? He said it was nice to talk to me, an adult, after taking a spousal week off to be home with his wife. Pretty sure he is glad to go back to work tonight and he hopes his shift is quiet so he can catch some sleep.
