Glad you guys seem to have the tractor puzzle figured out. I just thought RNG's camera was busted. RNG, have a safe trip up to Medford.

Did another grocery store pickup yesterday, this time at Food Lion...nothing too strange...several substitutions, no TP, but did get some Kleenex, although I'd never seen this "Grand" size before, which was substituted for regular. My wife got a couple of text messages from the "picker" while they were filling the order to ask about whether specific substitutes were acceptable.

Got about 3 hours of mowing done before this rain comes in. A neighbor on our road put his house up for sale...didn't know he had struck oil on his property. I guess if he gets his asking price, all boats will rise with his tide. Best wishes for him.

Good morning, the sun is shining and ... same same same. At best we get only half hearted wisps of white that have no intention of releasing any raindrops. Some of you must be accustomed to these conditions, for me I'm not sure if it was seeing another empty sky or the sight of Ron's rodents that has brought on groundhog day weather blues

Rick, your tree cleanup is going well. In the background of the last pic, looks like there could be a few more to keep you busy. I hadn't heard of yaupon before, now each time I see a herbicide label listing clopyralid, I think of the lostcreek-stump-killer !

"shame you can't screen directly into tractor bucket". Thanks for the thought Mostly, I am ok for tractor time at the moment and opted to accumulate maximum manual labour brownie points, with 4 or 5 barrow loads of soil each evening. Should help keep me in my wife's good books for a few more days

The flowers your wife asked about are primulas (primula veris), otherwise know as cowslips. A few grow wild around here, I will have a look when I am out to see if they are also in flower. Primula veris - Wikipedia

Wng, with negative prices per barrel, it is a good job your neighbor only struck metaphorical oil. If you had a mega windfall, would you want to move ?

Good morning all.
warmer morning, 50's now and going up with rain coming in through tomorrow.
Mostly, they say one week for the meds to be fully absorbed. Hurt when I got home, but they told me it would.
Better this morning, though I'm not going to "test it" much for sure.

Covid count up to 16, expect it to rise now that test kits are finally here. So far, no fatalities.
Not much planned for today other than 4pm telephone appt with endocrinologist about my enlarged adrenal glands.
Some packing boxes I ordered came in yesterday, might start packing some things today, good job on a rainy day.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 34ｰ with light rain this morning. Heading to 47ｰ with more rain in afternoon. House is as clean as I will get it. Going to paint birdhouses today. Good chance to partice using face mask and gloves. No other plans.
CV numbers keep going up in my county. 6500 cases, 530 deaths. They are now allowing CV testing without symptoms and Dr prescription. :thumbsup:


Kyle, one of the articles I read on Scorpions mentioned that having a lot of crickets around attracts Scorpions. Groundhogs are a problem if they are digging in a field where larger anminals are or around buildings. The one in picture comes out of the small woods east of my house. If I start seeing it close to house. It will find out how well my 22 rifle is sighted in.

RNG, I watched a few of the setup videos on the DJI Mini. Ready to do hands on with or without help.

Good morning! 55˚F heading to the 80s clear skies.

Ron, our county corvid-19 cases started out about the same but we now have just 158 total cases in the county and 5 deaths. The count consistently goes up by 2-7 per day and now we have more people that have recovered than have it. There are no cases in our zip code. Your county numbers are like our state numbers.

Texas is easing off restrictions and this morning is the first "relaxed" restriction in the neighborhood and I'm in the first wave. The gardens open up 1/8 of the beds at 8AM-11AM. I will take out the winter greens and plant potatoes. Next week the tomatoes go in. Some of the other outdoor clubs are submitting plans to get approval to open back up.

Eric, thanks for the plant info. We have not seen those here, she is going to research getting seeds and if they will survive here.

Bruce, the pond will loose about 5 gal / day to evaporation when the humidity is really low (5-15%). The last few days the humidity has been about 25-30%, and it really did not drop more than a 1/4 inch. When it is windy, the little waterfalls splash out a bit more too.

Ron, I am surprised your Covid19 numbers are that high (for just county) our whole state just surpassed 2210 cases, 65 deaths. Our county (Santa Fe) only has 93 cases and 0 deaths.

Don, surprised your numbers are also low, I guess rural living has another perk!

A clear and sunny 27ºF for today’s low. With clear skies predicted yesterday and low dew point I was surprised the temperature was not lower. A clear and sunny 33ºF presently; Dew Point @ 7ºF and I anticipate increasing clouds this PM with high temperature approaching 50ºF. And tonight the rain begins maybe a mix of snow in the beginning.

My grocery shopping experience was interesting. People tended to stay ~10’ away, no one would give me direct eye contact, and a couple of customers turned around when they saw me coming down the aisle. The pharmacy staff thought it was hilarious = I will probably do this again . C-19 numbers are still going up in MA. I did not check today, but western MA may have 2 more weeks before the C-19 peaks.

54°F and rain this morning, going up to 62° today. Looks like we get a pause in the rain late afternoon. Which is good, as I need to make a trip to Tractor Supply after work today to get chicken feed.

Medford OR used to be the home of Musician's Friend, a mail order catalog company selling musical instruments and accessories. I believe they shuttered that facility about 10 years ago and moved operations to CA to consolidate with their parent company Guitar Center. Been getting their catalogs and buying from them since I was a teenager.

36 going up to 59 Light hail when I took the dog for a walk.
The ferns are all up or getting there and it looks like we did not get the frost we were warned about.
This weekend will be planting so I hope we get no more crazy temperature dips. Pretty late for frost here.
Put fencing and coffee grounds around some plants the deer were trimming down, but see one in the camera at 4am right next to the fencing, so I guess that didn't work. Even the dog doesn't seem to bother them much and she is a corgi who wants to go round them up!
Fewer squirrels and rabbits this spring, fox must be getting his fill.
Drew, glad to hear your procedure went well, hope the pain goes away soon.
Watching all the projects on TBN gets me in a mood to finish some trails I want to put in for biking. Only have 6 acres, so I will need to loop a bit to make them any length.

Was just outside while driver delivered ORD and it sure didn't seem that cool ... guess the sun makes quite a bit of difference.

Supposed to get to around 60F today, with rain starting around 16:00 or 17:00 ... so may have to work a little seat time in on that basis. Ground is still wet enough though that I want to stay off the lawn.

Still have plenty to do inside so no biggie.

A good bit of rain in the forecast for this coming week ... so grass will continue to grow ...

I wonder if the steady increase in numbers is simply because there are more test kits becoming available. Jumped again here to 16 today.
even your cat can get it, as well as big cats in the zoo. Bronx zoo tigers and lions tested positive. I wonder how it got to them.
