Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going up to 68 today, a very slight chance of a Tstorm.

I am back into the pattern of not being able to sleep more than an hour.... was not waking up due to pain, or any other reason I can think of... maybe the brain thinking of too many things ....

Eric, sure is pretty there! You will have to take a pic of the landscaping edging....

Drew, hopefully the RV leak is just a minor issue. Good luck with the epidural, hope you get some relief.

It actually kind of pees me off in some cases about this. There is a Stones tune that they actually borrowed from a soul R&B tune waaay back...but who gets rights? Yep, you guessed it right if you picked the Stones.

Some bands are really a holes about it.

I can just imagine Don and his big EGO blower.

Some of the strictest groups are really kind of hypocritical. Led Zeppelin is one of the worst, and half of their early stuff was just newer versions of old blues songs that they didn't write.

One of the really crazy things about the YouTube fiasco is that pretty much everyone gives recognition to the copyright holders, and notes that they are recording covers of those songs. As a result, the copyright holders are getting paid. If I record a cover of Led Zeppelin's Houses Of The Holy, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant get paid for every view of that video. It's no different than radio play in that sense, except that they are getting paid for others performances of their music in addition to their own recorded version. They actually make more money. Yet, they put the kibosh on it with a quickness when someone posts something of theirs. Interestingly enough, it seems it's mostly the older groups who are squashing the remakes of their work. Most newer artists seem fine with it. Some have suggested this is the result of older groups being managed by older people, who refuse to embrace the new digital age. I suppose that's probably part of it. The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix (estate), and Fleetwood Mac are among the most notorious for this. I've seen The Beatles mentioned within that group as well, yet I can find a bajillion Beatles covers on YouTube (The Mona Lisa Twins are a favorite).

The US copyright laws can get quite complicated when lawyers start pushing it. It doesn't need to be, though.

Oops... did not mean to hit ‘ submit ‘ ....

Rick, that was not a bad price for that tank.

I cannot believe the oil prices... suppliers paying to get rid of oil... do we get free gas? West Texas and SE NM are going to be hard hit by a double whammy... Covid19 restrictions and oil field layoffs....

Randy, say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your FIL! I hope you can get the A-fib situation under control.

Bruce, no clue as to the son getting a new video loaded.... should be soon. I did not do any videos of the landscaping project. I was forbidden from using his camera since I ran it over with the tractor and mower. I know he just got some of the parts needed last week....

I am off to the grocery store first this morning, then on to try to finish the landscaping project.

Everyone have a great day!

55 degrees this morning, going for 81. There was/is a heavy dew on the grass, but the current forecast is an 80% chance of rain tomorrow, so I mowed, edged, and trimmed this morning even though it was a bit like working in a swamp.:)

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 7:45AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds light and variable.

I can almost hear the birds singing, the bees buzzing, and the lambs bleating in that photo, Eric! Glad you're getting some fine weather.

Hope your procedure brings relief, Drew, and the cause of your drip is easy to fix.

That's a lot of bags of, er, fertilizer...

You mean GoPros aren't indestructible, Ted?

I stuck a stick on GoPro mount on a piece of aluminum bar that was tapped 1/4x20, the same thread a lot of tripods use. But I put a long shank bolt with lock nut in it, and used that in a magnetic base to hold the camera in the engine bay of the van. I wanted to see if the noid light was triggering on the fuel injectors while the engine was cranking, and I didn't yet have a remote starter. Those mounts can be just about anything you can think of, but they have to be sturdy, especially if you wanna mount 'em on yer tractor, right Ted?:confused2:

Moved the speakers to a point lower in the door yesterday, and now the doors close a lot easier. The were hitting the dash, which was covering up half the speaker. Still no cards on the inner doors, so it's best to find these things out now rather than after the upholstery is done.

Got enough wiring done to listen to the radio and iPhone; sounds a lot better than my singing. Speakers are rattling at higher volumes though, and I think it might be the plastic sheet I wrapped around the backs of them to keep them dry. Found the bundle of wire from the power antenna stuffed way up under the dash; I'd forgotten all about doing that. It's now wired to a manual switch so I can control when the antenna is deployed. Still have to install a backup camera, but that's about it. This head unit supports Apple CarPlay. I think I'm really gonna like that. But the best feature may well turn out to be an actual mute button; the radio in the truck had an on screen mute that's buried two menus deep. Specs on the amps I'm installing call for 6 gauge wire for the power supply and ground, fused for 80 and 150 amps. I just wanna hear the music going down the freeway, not weld with it

Mild, overcast and breezy with storms later. 66 now.
I’ve been playing house husband today, washing clothes, but hey I wear some of them. Ellen has a work project that takes a lot of concentration so I’ve been trying to help out.

Drew, good luck on all fronts.

I did the Home Defense MAC on the outside a couple of weeks ago but I gotta do the inside baseboards and under sink cabinets, I keep finding a stray ant here and there.

Need to finish washing the outbuildings if the wind ever allows it.

Sorry to hear about the snow!

Have a good day.

Yea me too. Gets to see Dr in 2 hours.

Hope for the best. Sounds like a busted blood vessel/capillary.

White spots in vision, shadowing/curtain effect or dark floaters are signs to be on the look out for.

Big storm rolling through with downpour and winds gusting well past 30. Looks to clearing us now.
Still getting strong shifting gusts as the cold front passed. Temp went from 75 to 59 in about 15 minutes.
I came in just in time.

Just checked my weather station and had a gust of 49 mph about 25 minutes ago.

David, I am glad to hear that your wifeys eye problem was not more serious. I bet you were sweating a bit waiting to find out!

I am almost too pooped to post..... I got most of the landscaping area covered with mulch.... 46 - 2 cu ft bags.... it was not enough.... a run into town to get 10 more... tomorrow will be “ officially complete “ for sure! Too tired to do the last little bit by the time I got home. I am grilling seasoned potato wedges and Angus burgers for dinner, so prioritizing...

RNG, no, for sure GoPro s are not indestructible, at least not the peripheral items. I do not want to spoil the video, but I got very lucky... the mower blade chopped the external microphone (1/4 diameter, about 1/2 inch long) right in half, left a crease in the case, but the camera was still functioning.

Speaking of the son and his camera, he finally posted another video of the garage build. Here is a link for those following / interested.

Hummingbird showed up yesterday so we hung the feeders. Didn’t do much today, another bout with Afib, called the doctors office but never got a call back.
Today is my father in law’s birthday, a very young 84. He has a great collection of antique tractors, tools, toys, washing machines, liquor stills, etc... He built a train for kids to ride in, he builds carriages, built his house, barn and outbuildings, and he had a full time job until about 15 years ago.

hope he had a happy B day. Sounds like a great fellow.
