Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low was a chilly 14, frost on everything. Going up to 52, sunny, breezy.

Drew, sorry to read that your back issues are flaring up. Positive thoughts sent for a decent report from the neurologist.

David, like Eric said, do not be thinking about more concrete.... we can all help support your addiction therapy...:D

RNG, I can feel you getting anxious waiting for the solar project pieces / parts to arrive....:hyper:

Now that the kitchen table is done, the next project begins.... 2 end tables. They will have a lot of pieces and a lot of glue up work on panels, so should occupy my time for a while. The garage project has slowed being my son works long hours M-F. On the weekends, I switch hats....:confused2:

Here are some pics of the finished table.

Surprised when it was 19° this morning when I left.

Poplar is fun to split by hand when frozen, it explodes when you strike it, one of the easiest to split.

I had just got home last night, when wife called and wanted me to pick her up from hospital where she’s been since Monday. So I went back into Baltimore but her sister drove her to the west side and we met right near the rehab center I was in last yr. Her dad is improving, was moved out of NCCU unit. Is talking more, but still sleeps a lot. When he can eat without feeding tube they will release him to facility back in his hometown.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 6:45AM. Partly cloudy. High 67F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Good luck sneaking into and out of the garden, Don. What greens will you be harvesting today?

I have a buddy that swears by his inversion table, DIF. And now I've got another question for the doc this morning when we go over the MRI results...

That's how I'll start the day, then some time shopping for building supplies, then finish up at the urologist's place. Always a nightmare with parking there.

The solar rails were a no show yesterday, and with me going to town this morning, I gave the trucking company a call this morning. Apparently their tracking info on the web site isn't accurate with respect to ETA, so they're probably going to push the delivery off until tomorrow. And that's just fine, as I have no plans to be anywhere else but home. The generator still shows as being in Salt Lake City, so that's likely to show up next week, again just fine.

Checked with the steel supplier, and the piping for the solar grid is still MIA. He promised to give me a call when it's in. The neighbor with the trailer will be hauling hay with it this weekend, so early next week is starting to sound like the probable pickup time for the steel.

The propane guy finally called back, and the 1000 gallon tanks he ordered are still a few weeks out on delivery. But at least he's moving again.

Got a call from another gal from The Office of the President at AT&T yesterday, and while she issued another hundred dollar credit to my account, she was a royal PITA to try to communicate with. She was one of those people that like to interrupt you a couple words into your question, then spout off a bunch of stuff that doesn't address your concern. I had to ask her to not interrupt me three separate times before I got the answers I wanted, then after that just gave up. I hope I get one of those customer satisfaction surveys; she really needs some coaching on her listening skills.

Getting closer to pulling the trigger on a new vault. I talked to a guy at a local company that thinks he can get it from the driveway into the house; now we just need a shipper with a lift gate that can make the hill and the turn to the front of the garage.

Got the elevations shot for the solar grid posts yesterday, but haven't had a chance to glean any meaning from the measurements yet. Then figured out I need 50' of drain pipe for the shipping container, so I'll pick that up today.

With all the time I'm spending on the phone lately, it's no wonder I'm not getting anything done around here.:confused2:

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Great job on that table!!

Beautiful table, Ted. Cute little drop leaf, and I've always been a sucker for clear finishes on hardwood.

How is the top held to the frame?

The top is held in place by pocket screws from the frame into the top. I have used small L brackets before, but they never seemed to hold tight. A pic of a pocket screw:

41° now, 20s early. Had a blood draw early.
Today is my middle grandsons birthday, he’s 8 today, his mom mom would be so proud of him. He’s an A student and a multi sport athlete, as well as being a great young man.

Happy birthday doggie! Everyone have a good day. Prayers.

LS, great job on table. I alway thought we needed a table similar to yours. But wife came up with idea of kitchen island. Worked out well. It looks out window I get most of the bird pictures from.

66°F and .06 inches rain.

Never got to my carport yesterday.
But I did sell my old Outback electrical system and get that loaded up to new home. Happy to get the space back

Just as the guy was leaving, wife returned home with a truckload of bromeliads which I unloaded for her and finished just as it started to rain.

Perfect timing for a homemade smoothie of homegrown papaya, banana, lilikoi juice with a bit of vodka.

So back to carport today- hopefully.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

it's not quite the same with power tools cause I have one of those massaging tools I bought after my Japanese friend passed,

It's not a massaging tool it's a stretching tool kind of like RNG describes. I got the idea from my wife's on-line physical therapist Bob and Brad. She used the cheap hanging type and it worked after a few weeks. I can see how the hanging upside down would really help but Drew might need something he can travel with.
Drew I would advise you to view this 12 minute video. The neck stretcher is on minute 11 for the others.

Rick after the neighborhood deer count we were about 150 over so the nets had to come out again we have four of these set up around the neighborhood. Below is a pic of the capture net.

RNG harvested Kale and cilantro for the chili tonight. I did not escape the garden, the sirens called me for some tractor work.

Ted, gorgeous table.
I'll ask about the inversion technique today at nuerosurgeons. Condition got much worse yesterday, had a hard time walking, shooting pains down legs and some loss of urinary control. Had to bring a chair into greenhouse this morning to water plants, could not stand up. Something is definitely getting pinched in there...
Starting to make me think my next stop is a CCC. Always knew it would happen, just a matter when. And I have certainly gotten more out of the last six years than any of my docs thought I would. Have to make the best of everything.

My neck is fused with six inches of titanium so nothing going to stretch there.

Very nice table, Ted. Thanks for sharing.

30°F and cloudy skies this morning, going up to 39° today. It snowed here all day yesterday, and all we got was just barely any covering on the grassy areas. I'm OK with that.

Got the trash can back up to the house and started to head out to the chicken coop last night when I remembered that The Wife sent me a text message earlier in the day that we were out of feed. Drat. Had to make a trip to the Carlyle Tractor Supply. Got back, got the feed mixed, and just sat down in the kitchen when Wifey walked in from her evening trainings.

I was another one wondering where you were seeing 11 deer, Ron. Thought this was one of those picture seek games again.

We bought a used inversion table about a year ago. Both of us have chronic back issues, and it has provided awesome relief.

Table came out great, Ted. Nice work.
