Ted- I am happy to see you posting and especially so regarding your ability to keep your licensure with on-line CEC's. It sucks to read about your computer challenges. Good luck.

Morn'n to all,

Hope all are well.

Haven't been around for a short while, too many little project.

An interesting thing happened to me via Costco, not a biggy, but just interesting.

I had found an item at Costco, that I thought was by far the best thing that Costco has sold in along time, mind you now, I like Costco and a lot of their stuff. The item I found their is a food stuff, great tasting Olive Tapenade, made by Fotis and Son.
Well as it goes at Costco they ran out and decided not to stock it in my area, WHAT, I also couldn't order it in on-line, tell me that makes sense. I asked the local stores Customer Service about the product and was told there was a stocking adjustment made that eliminated it from this store, I asked why that would happen and was told usually because of sales, ok.. BUT , if it used to on the shelf and people were always buying it, why would it be removed from inventory, NOT, NOT, NOT... no answer, well at least one that made sense.
Then I asked why can't I order it from the Costco Web Site for delivery to my house... I would gladly pay shipping... BLANK STARE... for some reason if it isn't stocked in your store, it can't be order for deliver to your area.
The Customer Service Agent, trying to be helpful then told me I could drive to the next county, they have it there... a one hour drive to get something I like, yes, not too bad but not acceptable.

I contacted Costco Corporate HQ, the same basic answers, this really doesn't make any sense to me.

So instead of taking the one hour trip, I contact the maker, Fotis and Son, they told me I couldn't buy it locally because of the Costco Contract, I understand BUT ! They appear to understand my wants and needs so they said they would contact Costco and see what is happening. a week later I get an e-mail from Fotis and Son, they had talked to Costco and they will be restocking the item. GREAT !
One month later nothing, I contacted Fotis and Son again, asked for an assist to get it back onto shelf at my local Costco... Wham Bam, it's back.
I would not have thought any input form me would have changed anything and really I don't think it has but all I know is one of the best Tapenade's I have ever tasted is on the shel again... Thank you Fotis and Son nd Costco for LISTENING !

So the squeaky wheel does get oiled, sometime !

"... So the squeaky wheel does get oiled, sometime !"- Grev

I am happy that your perseverence resulted in a surprising (to me) + (large) corporate response.

I like olive tapenade. We buy Trader Joe's brand. It's pretty decent.

Scrambler, you are one persistent guy!

David, fine looking truck. I have the same running boards on my Ram and it sets the lines of the truck, just like yours.
Clean good looking truck, very snazzy in black. Though I'm sure the grill would swallow small children.;)

might I humbly add that all of the big three have huge grills, Ford and Chevy are in a race as to who can come up with the largest grill, while
Denalis have always had the most attractive grills out there because they were actually minimalist. Enormous but not overdone. I'm a car guy so I follow this
and think David's truck, if he has a car wash next door, will look really good for a long time. Even the new electric trucks are miming the big front ends when they
don't even need to. If you play in the big leagues you have to have a big hood and grill. Seems there is a huge I wanna be a Kenworth vibe going on.

I share your dissatisfaction with Costco's stocking practices, Scrambler. They stopped carrying the jumbo packs of Quilted Northern TP, and the replacements offered, well, let's just say they're too tough for me. They also no longer offer Bounty paper towels with full size sheets, and two of the half sheets are bigger than the old sheets resulting in waste. I get the same circular logic when I ask a manager WTF? If I were you, I'd stock up on that spread before they discontinue it again:shocked:

RNG - yes all Outback. Very possible to find a component of different manufacturer with different capabilities, not possible to integrate 100% information and control wise. Even some of the older Outback stuff isn’t 100%. I like system integrity. Like the remote access too.

The latest solar guy showed up in a new, big and ugly, Ford F350. Just another reason to hang onto my '00, paid for, F250...

You and I are on the same page with respect to sticking with one manufacturer. Saves a LOT of finger pointing when something goes wrong.

Yes, have a Leer cap on order. Impressed that they called next day asking for Ridgeline vin to get best paint match. About 5 weeks to get.

Still shuddering at cost - what we do for the furry ones.

Just received an email that the replacement Dish Network DVR will be delivered tomorrow.

Last night, the old one started working again.:confused2: But it had erased half of the programming that was stored on it.

I've been playing phone tag with my satellite guy, and still think the ultimate solution is to switch to DirecTV...

Good morning all
Sorry I have been AWOL and have lots to catch up on hope all are healthy and doing well.
It been a busy time where it seems like not enough hours in the day, started with getting boats out of water and hasn't ended yet. I managed to get mower off the John Deere and mounting the rear snowblower and found that some time over the summer some critter chewed up the wires to the shoot control. With any luck today I'll get the bucket off and mount the snow plow this afternoon. Presently I'm cooking a stuffed pork roast to bring to my daughter at work for the office party at lunch time.
My youngest daughter rents my mom's house from my brothers and I and over the course of one week the washer 36 years old, dryer 32 years old and fridge about 60 year old GE all needed replacement so what does a dad do for daughter just starting out on her own buy new of course Merry Christmas. Guess it's true they just don't make things like they use to.
Finally did decide on a new truck GMC 1500.
Well back to my kitchen have a good day.View attachment 629576

That is one evil looking ride! And with 420 hp it is evil. Love it.

Scheduled to trade trucks this afternoon.

I’ll be needing a mental health day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Congrats!! I’m sure that was stressful.

I had a Leer cap on my Tacoma. The paint matched. If I go the cap route again I would buy another one.

I need to contact Dish to replace a receiver. It released some smoke yesterday.

Ridgeline is the best crossover combination available today. Good looking truck too.

And after a lot of thought most likely all the truck I need. No big towing plans, my one sizable lumber order I have planned will be delivered.

Wife had a Leer cap on the little Toyota she had when we met, always my 1st choice, never disappointed.
