Back from doctor. Both of us will be OK. Just keep on with liquids and chicken soup. Kind doctor checked us both out. Without having to go to urgent care.

I have a noon appointment tomorrow to see a new doctor; one I haven't even met yet. The primary care doctor that we liked died not long ago and his partner has changed everything, including all the employees, office location, billing methods, etc. So I'll see this new doctor tomorrow and my wife will see him (or the female doctor in his office) next week.

Rick- Nice looking rigs.

Ted- Your Wife crocheted a really nice fox. She has some real talent.

“…. Been seeing reports about this "bomb cyclone" that's apparently going to end life as we know it in North America. Shaking my head at the incredible over-sensationalizations in weather reporting lately.’- Paul Congratulations on the new computer. I wish this reported bombogenetic event was because it was a slow news day. Baroclinic instability, bombogenesis, and cyclogenesis are relatively new meteo-babble words (~1970’s) recently discovered by the news media and now hyped to the general public. It is a strong storm.

RonJH- Good news. I am glad that you and your Wife did not have to go through the Urgent Care route. Take care.

Bird- Good luck with your and your Wife's new doctor.

Better keep that umbrella handy...

Yep ..... raining here now. It was 71°F at 5 am. Front came through at 11 am and temp dropped to 61°F in about 30 minutes.

Short sleeves when it got daylight .... now long sleeve shirt and a hoodie. Damp cold.

Frank- I was surprised that "eggs" was not on that poster pic.

One benefit of being an unrepentant weather geek is I know when not to go to supermarkets or liquor stores. Full moons and pending weather systems can bring out the worst in food shoppers especially the older, cane wielding and shoppingcart driving shoppers

Not in Texas, we don't have a clue what do do when it snows, oh wait we are good at one thing - crashing when it sleets.

19 last night with a high in the 40’s. Woke up to a 50 degree house again. Hit the reset on the furnace and it fired up and ran. Had my wife check it at lunch and it was off again. Called the repair guy. He came and fiddled with it. Couldn’t really find anything wrong. Oh well, wait and see what happens... Went to an EMT yesterday, looks like a cat scan and nasal surgery is in my future. Will find out for sure in 3 or 4 weeks.
Hope everyone is safe and well. Prayers for those ill and my condolences for all with a loss.

A rather productive day
Main roof metal all in lace and screwed down. Still need to do trim/flashings.

Also got new diesel storage all plumbed and ready for delivery come Friday. (Just to right front of sawhorses)

NOOOOOOOOO! No rain! I like my basement dry. Above freezing temps with cool down to below freezing at night with some sunny and breezy days will do it just fine. Thank you.

Yup. Big time rain coming your way tomorrow, Bill. Sorry about that. We will have rain here in town as well.

Good evening all. 52F for the low, overcast with rain, windy. Strong winds and rain came through overnight, emptied rain gauge of 1.2 inches at 9:30. Sky cleared quickly, wind came back up to 25-35mph and high temp was 74F. Men's meeting in the morning, did not get any consulting done and need to. Went for bike in the wind, and lo water bridge played with the ride as well. No nap today, and dog hates the leash but any critter and he is running, need to get his leg healed.
David, nice progress.
mpham, good luck with your furnace and nasal resolution.
Bird good luck with new DR, I don't like to change them
Don't get as much snow as I used to get back in Missouri, probably need some practice:D
Rick nice clean rigs, have a pickup that needs attention:rolleyes:
Ted nice fox.
PJ did not hear about the "bomb cyclone" here did have peak gust of about 80MPH overnight.
prayers for all.

31 and going to a high of 45°F. Wind S 9 mph. Rain and T-storms likely. YUK!

The rain will help to cut away the snow, that is one good thing.

Now I know why my knee hurts so bad this morning.

I've got a dump run to do today, along with some other stuff in town.

Have a good day all

Eric just do like the British cooking shows - add butter, lots of butter, tons of butter and then a lot of butter on top.

Or those celebrity chefs that shovel on piles of salt. Yuk.

Our lunchtime meal is usually a sandwich, or when the loaf of bread is past it's best, a toastie, which is just about my skill level. Over the last couple of weeks I've attempted to make these slightly healthier, eliminating processed meat. The thin slice of ham on a cheese toastie has been replaced by spring onion for me and sun dried tomato for my wife. Slices of apple and red and yellow peppers are also making a more regular appearance on the plate. Is that worth half a no-brownie point Don ? :)

good morning all. Bomb cyclone or not, quite the snow storm. Glad it's not here, nor
will it be, 43 going up to a toasty 76 today and 81 tomorrow. :)confused3:)

Looks like tshirts for next few days
and off with the LL Bean or Lands End chamois shirts which are my standard cold weather wear. I'll be glad when they get hung up for the season, they make me do wash too often, three of them plus jeans fills up the washer. Most of these shirts I've had for 10 to 15 years and they are so soft now, now that part I really like. I had one simply fall apart at about 20 years. Then my MIL got ahold of it and patched all the holes with red
hearts. Geez, now that shirt never left the property again...but after another 5 years it was finally recycled as the shirt on the 8 foot tall straw scarecrow my late wife made for the garden. That shirt was built like a tractor.

Looks like a small amount of rain due in Sat night.
Otherwise things are drying up here, which is sure needed.

An old friend of mine sent me a packet of Hatch pepper seeds, said I'd like them, and if I was in New Mexico, that's what would go
on my burger. So I'm going to plant them today, for the greenhouse. I can't eat hot peppers due to GERD but he said these were mild.
His idea of mild and mine are universes apart though. I'm guessing they are like Poblanos from a heat rating. Mild Green Hatch peppers.
The last thing I needed was more peppers, already have hundreds of plants growing, but always room for one more.
