Power came on about 30 minutes ago after saying it would be Sunday. Generator only 5500 watts does essential things only gas heat downstairs, gas hot water, well, a few lights and the icebox. Trees cut up with the help of a friend no way with arm I could myself. No internet today

Years ago when my parents were alive their mail box was bashed about every two weeks. After a year of this decided to do something about it so we made a steel one 1|4 inch steel tubing 3|16 house around mail box then set in concrete. About two weeks after that the police wake my dad up at 1:45 in the morning. Two cars racing one hit box took out radiator so both were caught minimum damage to mailbox

Sorry no pictures

Great story!

Hope the arm improves soon, Randy.

Good evening all. 41F for the start, overcast, calm wind. Rain was forecast to stay south but did not, friend went fishing and got rained on. Rain finished late afternoon, winds stayed light and high temp was 47F. Trip to Sherman, bike shop to get 10-speed cranks retapped, Lowes to get pull out shelf for 1 kitchen cabinet, book store, Red lobster and Office Depot for calculator ribbon (taxes).
Randy that was quite the chore with that tree. Glad you got garage door sorted out.
Drew hope the MRI is well.
Don thank for all the good info.
RNG congrats on the forward progress, go for the camper top!!
prayers for all

It feels strange this morning to have no sheep to feed or check up on. We are in for a few dry days, so I will be able to enjoy the novelty of driving between fields without constantly opening and closing gates.

Hearing of mail boxes taken out by cars and ploughs makes me appreciate even more our postal delivery service. Where I live there are only 4 houses down a track that is 500 yards from the road, yet the postman happily drives his bright red van down to put the post in a box that is only inches away from our front door.

Anyone seen the BBC "Postman Pat" childrens tv series ? Pat and his cat Jess have adventures that are captivating for young kids.
Postman Pat - Pat's Windy Day - YouTube (this episode definitely not be be used as a chainsaw instructional video :))

51 degrees with temps falling through the day in pretty steady rain.
Worked from 3-5am in the greenhouse planting carrots and radishes.
Very quiet and relaxing in there, lots of light, lots of heat. Lots to think about.

Headed in at 9 to try to get copy of written radiology report.
Will be armed with another box of Entemann's chocolate donuts.
I hadn't sat down for three minutes in the waiting room when my
DVD came out, plus a personalized thank you note in a nice card envelope
thanking me for using their facility.
The power of a chocolate donut reigns supreme...

Drinking first cup of coffee. 16ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 38ー with lots of sun. Got myself organized to start installing last outside video camera yesterday. Going to get started on it this morning. Will not get it finished. Wife has a 2 hr therapy session in afternoon. Going to be interesting if they can help her ability to swallow.

Yesterday evening I looked out kitchen window to see 2 deer standing on their hind legs dancing. Not sure if that is what they were doing. Checked trail cam this morning no pictures. :confused3: That's why I need to get video cam up on that end of house.

Buppies, 18" is to big for my chipper. Sound like a job for a log splitter to make fire wood. My metal mailbox post has been up for over 40 years. It has seen a few new boxes over the years for vandals and snow plows. Latest one has so many screws in it the only thing left will be torn up sheet metal. Next time it needs repaired. I do have a new one stored up in the barn.

Drew, getting the disk has always been quick at the MRI's I got. Getting the radiology report is another story. But the wait for last couple have been worth it. All OK reports.

Eric, cute video.

RNG, glad you are making progress on Van.

Good Morning All.

47 that should be about the high, more rain through the weekend.

The outdoor cats have scuba gear, kittens will soon evolve with gills.

She will be 96 if she gets to Tax day.

Have a good day guys!

Good morning! 48˚F and cloudy.

Looking at the specs it looks like the the tractor that I will be wining April 1st will be a foot too long to fit in the golf cart garage. I will have to explore other options. I wonder how hard it is to remove the FEL? Without the FEL it will fit nicely. Yard decorations are allowed so that is another possibility. I have 30 days to take delivery, after that I get disqualified. I also cannot sell it for a year and must have insurance on it. That makes it sound like a finance agreement were they make the payments.

Remember all who enter, you will only be called 3 times within an hour on or about 4/1 and you must answer or be disqualified.

Not much sleep at all last night. Feeling "weird" from high BP. Dr appt on Monday.

Prayers for those with needs, aloud and subtle.

Off today. Since no sleep, figuring what I might can get done...might not be much. Taking daughters to school.

Don, since it's April Fools day, Ron and I will go to a pay phone and call you... :) (I guess that goes both ways)

Looking, companies set up separate corporations for each country. You might look for Yanmar Canada's website and check.

The last few months getting 1/2 gallon containers of milk has been a problem at Walmart. So I called 1-800-Walmart and made a complaint. Yesterday I got a call from local store manager. He explained the Walmart has stopped offering Great Value in 1/2 gallon sized containers. Thanked me for bring the problem to their attention. Will be having other suppliers of milk start diverging more 1/2 gallon sized bottles. I explained that one of the reasons that people buy 1/2 containers is 1 gallon containers are to heavy to lift. So if your store is not stocking 1/2 gallon milk containers. Call the number above.
It caused problems at all the stores in the area. They are always out of 1/2 gallon containers also.

world wide yanmar brought up sites all around the world including America, but nothing for Canada. I guess Canada doesn't exist on their globe.

no evidence of
no evidence of
no evidence of
just the kind of MRI I wanted to get.
They could not find any brains in there nor
my missing set of truck keys...

So I've got some kind of significant infection they have to deal with,
but at least no lesions, masses, etc.
Some motion artifact, meaning I moved during the test,
which for 20 minutes doesn't surprise me, must have been my breathing
heavily to control the claustrophobia feeling in that thing.

It seems I can buy some green bananas. All good.
I'm guessing HD antibiotics like Cipro next week.
50 degrees in light drizzle, rain through tomorrow.
With dropping temps, too unpleasant to be outside.
