I really do not know myself; wasted time between halftimes.

Randy & Thomas- There is a healthy (for NE) number of deer around here from what I've seen and tracked this year. In November/December I was seeing a lot of rubs and scrapes along the perimeter paths and shrubs. I was still seeing deer marking in January. Brogen is great at finding them and re-marking/re-licking them. I too am looking forward to seeing that Buck. It was a 6 or 8 point buck that I saw in the pre-dawn light last year. We'll see.

I agree. It seems that there are a lot of bunched up undies for all kinds of reasons with this SB. I do not know what "thrones" is other than a mini-series with strange costumes and flying dragons. Their commercial made no sense.

Roy that is a lot of snow

Thomas you will see more snow me I don稚 think so

Looking I think you win with most snow

I just measured the snow and we have 34" so far.

34 knee wrecking inches....your Mothers are all watching from a drone above...;)

Happy news doesn't sell.

If you look at the news like one's investment portfolio, instead of stock/bond ratios you have
the unhappiness vs happiness ratio in news. I'm betting it's 90 % unhappy, usually critical of something, and 10 % happy.
I can see them around their big editing table, yeah but this happy crap kills our ratings!
So we keep getting it fed to us by the internet and the nightly news.

This is why everyone should go to a remote island and just ignore all this stuff for a while.
No wonder the Islanders say Be Happy!......

Planted mostly red cabbage this afternoon, stopped when my back hurt. Kept thinking it was raining when I heard the drip of water on the
plastic but turns out it was just my normal drip coming off the rim of my hat. 64 out but working hard.

Physical didn't go so well. BP up, but only top number. Referred to ENT, was told ear still red and swollen inside.
If two courses of antibiotics and antibiotic cortisone ear drops don't do it, guess I should escalate and go get poked and prodded.
Last week they cut another basal cell cancer off me. I've lost count how many of them it's been.
I think I'm hitting about 200,000 miles...:D

PJ, would love to see pics of guitar.

Bill- 34" of compacted old snow is a lot of snow. How much do you get on average? Nowadays I see ~80" - 90"'s annually.

Drew- I am sorry to read about your physical; I hope your ear heals soon, good luck with the ENT; and I wish you another 200,000 miles. I like and agree with your "corporate" analogy as well as the "cure." Please take care of your neck and back.

thanks Jay.
like a good cheap Timex, I
take a lickin' and keep on tickin'

my special order finely ground potting soil came in,
have found I can use the cheap stuff on the bottom and layer an inch of this stuff
on top which I plant in. Fine grind makes certain seeds easier to plant, particularly the ones that won't
stand much covering at all, like some flower seeds. Sun Coast propagation mix

I seem to be planting in "Long-Lasting Wetting Agent, Dolomitic Limestone, Vermiculite, Fine Perlite, Perlite, Fine Sphagnum Peat Moss"
Happy with all that except the first ingredient, which sounds suspiciously chemical in nature, pretty sure they aren't referring to water...,
so seems like about 60 percent finely ground Canadian peat moss and 40 percent water retention material and soil fluffing agents.
This is the Black Gold company selling small bags of retail mix vs buying the larger commercial sized bags. Which didn't look all that big to me for 30 plus bucks a piece. Feed store doesn't stock it, so I doubt I'm getting a good price on it. I wonder if it's cheaper on Amazon...
Poor Mr Bezos is about to get his wallet lightened in divorce court, more than the value of most small countries. ;)

RNG- That meal looks to be good eats; no green vegetables?

I usually have a large garden salad with dinner, but the makins in the fridge are over a week old and it'll be a few days yet before I can get to the grocery store. So meat'n'potatos'll have to do for a while this week.

Missed 1st half of SB, had it recording, so i thought. The guide said SB, but it was something else. Anyway, halftime was awful so turned it off and made some snacks.
Local boy, 79 right tackle starts for Rams O line, so wanted them to win. My wife teaches with his mom.
Didnt see any obvious bad calls. They could call pass interference every play though.

Dead battery in wifes honda. Its been in garage for a week. Got it on charger.
Guess i need to try truck in the barn. Had ranger and tractor out yesterday. Bet the massey has low battery.

32 right now...high in the mid to uppers 40's today. Looks like two "warm" days, then back to more seasonal temperatures.

I'd written yesterday I was going to try to clear more snow off the drive since we're looking at a thaw/refreeze. I did get another inch or so...what's on the drive and lawn is frozen...

The great majority of the snow is from the 2' storm we got a couple weeks ago...

Very nice Deere rig. Do you find it warm enough? I am leaning to getting a cab model.

Very nice Deere rig. Do you find it warm enough? I am leaning to getting a cab model.

The tractor has a Curtis Cab and was about 10 years old when I bought he machine.
As I'm sure you're aware, Curtis cabs are a dealer installed item. There are a number of openings (clutch and brake pedal areas, cab corners and such that are open to the outside), so, in our frigid Vermont winters, the cab isn't real warm even with the heater on full blast. I'm sure a factory cab would be better as far as keeping me warm.
However, I dress warm and the cab does keep most of the chill (and all of the snow) out. Definitely an advantage when using a snow blower!
If I could have swung it (moneywise), I'm sure a factory cab would be the better choice. One good point is the doors are easily removed during the warmer months.
All told, I'm glad I bought this tractor even with the cab's limitations.
Now, a caveat...the tractor was, as I'd written, ten years old when I bought it. Those openings I described may have been sealed or plugged when the cab was first installed. One of these days I'll get some rubber strips or something of that nature and seal the cab up better.

Don- You did not describe the actual product, but I agree with Ted. It may be the type of oil used in the CBD suspension that is messing with Whipper's GI tract. I've seen some strange reactions to medications that we are suspended in oil. If I remember correctly it was sesame oil or a byproduct.

The product is Pet Releaf hemp oil extract 24mg CBD 7mg (active ingredient hemp oil extract with naturally occurring CBD),
Inactive ingredient coconut oil (MCT)

She seems back to normal today keeping with the same dosage.

Good evening all. 58F for the start, clear with some fog, calm wind. Light wind day, with mostly clear skies, and high temp of 79F (25F over normal). Choir practice to start, bike ride soon after that. After lunch and nap worked on van driver side running board, 1 mounting bracket had gotten wrenched. Was able to remount bracket but not reglue the running board. Need some silicone caulk and some replacement screws to finish job.
Drew you have your garden work cut out for you
PJ sounds like good progress on guitar.
Keep the pics coming.
Prayers for all.

Hauled the mini ex with F250 today not a challenge at all as I feared. The mini weighs 12700 lbs. Moved or switched tail gates on dump truck ready for tar and gravel tomorrow. 64 for high today even warmer tomorrow. Winter has gone on vacation here and it could be permanent SE ridge pretty strong for this time of year

You'll never regret spending the extra money for a cab tractor. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. With our mild Texas winters, I've rarely ever used the heat.

You will have to be careful under low hanging tree branches.

29 outside this AM heading to the 70's. Nice. Unfortunately I am heading to a real job in the city. Should be fun stuff with these hours and the commute. Have a great day all. Be safe.

Drew, you are certainly pampering your seedlings this year, with all that luxury compost. That first ingredient sounds like something else too :-

"Wetting agent" - Don, is that the polite name for a raised bedwetter's pimp ?

Our winter is also due to take a short vacation, this should be our last frosty morning for quite a few days according to those in the know. I will miss the harder ground, although I have to admit we really do need the rain, ponds are barely above summer level and the prospect of even half an inch of grass growth is very welcome .
