Good morning!!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!

My eye exam today revealed little real change and no evidence of any diabetes related eye problems. I do need to skew my head and/or glasses around due to the progressive "grind" of the lenses.

Our 10 year old washing machine was removed and the new unit installed w/o incident while I was gone.

Andrew- A decent bedframe repair. I wish there was a way to tap into all that energy. I would bet that you too had some å…Žnergy at that age.:cool:

Eric- Thanks for sharing your picture and verse . This predawn time is my favorite. Your description is awesome.

Ron- Good luck with your doctors visits this week.

Ed- I am happy to read that you finally got some decent, restful sleep.

Hawkeye- I am happy to read that your back is starting to mend. Good luck with the family and the Holidays. Holidays can be stressful. Admissions were highest during the Holiday Season at the psych hospital where I worked.

Buppies- Congratulations on the job completed and the new job just begun. Be careful with your arm.

The weather models surprisingly have been fairly consistent with similar outcomes for this weekend. After this mid-December cold period I believe that we will be "warmer" for the remainder of the year; in theory, it is an El Nino year so it should be.

Thomas- Like you some of the warmest temperatures here today happened just past midnight and right now at 30F.

Drew- A nice looking greenhouse. I hope that it can handle your weather. I see all kinds of "bad" design in residential and in rare cases commercial greenhouses around here. In NE it is UV degradation, wind, and snow load as the reason for structural failure. Have fun giving your tractor some "character"

Randy- Sage advice. Chocolate stains are difficult to remove. My late German Shepard would consider those napping moments as a perfect opportunity for a æ“¢rench Kiss?eek:

I hope that everyone is having a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

a very good time.

37 today. Snow, sleet and rain combos. Currently between bands. No accumulation forecast. But did have about a mile of road turn white on me on way in.

Took care of birds this morning then picked up oldest son from school and took him to start a new therapy today. ABA therapy. 45 minutes away. Very intensive program plan. Right now we are at 3 hour sessions and 3 days a week. Goal is to build him to 20 hours a week. I need a clone. Did run some errands and get lunch. While leaving from lunch I noticed a new building going up. I’ll let y’all guess from the picture. Signage was in bad shape. Old used car lot. IMG_0168.JPG

replace with base mix and toppping

I think Toppop must have helped you and left an extra P!
Buppies, do you offer road toppings with extra sprinkles? Road jimmies?
The man is an artist, only one to offer paving in chocolate or vanilla.
Chocolate road with vanilla line markings.
Maybe the botts dots are the jimmies
What kind of poppy seeds were those?? Lol

my creative genius is constantly being questioned here
I'm about to do a Rodney Dangerfield...:D
or break out into an excruciating poem.

actually I wondered later if all folks knew what jimmies were.
Might be another regional thing, I've picked up some odd expressions
along the way.

For years I would go see the gingerbread house exhibition at Peddler's Village in Lahaska PA, where dozens of folks competed for prestigious ribbons and a little newspaper/tv coverage. I always wondered if any of it was actually edible, other than breaking a tooth on it, but it probably had
to be. Though clearly not good for you.

And then in my first job out of college I was training for a food service company at a college in Vermont working under a director who was also
a fancy baker. As in big wedding cakes, unusual shapes, maybe even edible dioramas.
So in my experience it's not too much of a stretch for Buppies to be paving in chocolate and vanilla.
He can just be doing it in his kitchen that's all.

In cleaning out the incredible mess in the garden shed, I found a little plastic bucket with a nice Goodnoe's Dairy Bar
on the side. I sure kept that, memory of my childhood. Except this time I think it was my late wife's and stuck in the gardening pots.
I still have pots out the wazoo. Or the ying yang. I bet there's some more varieties of that...
All of that stuff is getting loaded tomorrow afternoon onto my truck and getting hauled off
to local Master Gardener storage place for their annual sale in the Spring.
So far none have offered to help...hmmmm.

I have some presents to wrap tonight since I'm leaving on Sunday. I always lose the to-from cards.

Kyle, Andy Summers of The Police played a couple of Klein guitars back in the '90s, as did Alan Holdsworth. Those headless guitars were rather popular in the '80s and '90s, mostly because of Steinberger guitars. Steve Klein used Steinberger hardware on his electric guitars, and always credited both Ned Steinberger and Ronnie Montrose for the development of that guitar. As for the guy in Australia, I suspect it is probably a Chinese-made kit he is selling at such a low price.

Reminds me a little of the synthaxe I saw in a photo of Allan Holdsworth.

No luck so far with the van. Which probably means its the "tandem pump" -- watch out, the VW Touareg, which I think is sold in the US, some of them had the same engine as mine. I wish VW had put somewhere a big Warnung! that letting the van run out of diesel is not only a pain in the a**, but also likely to a pain in the wallet. The van has 100K miles on it (young for a diesel). One more thing to check early tomorrow morning that will verify the pump is a problem, and order one and hope it can arrive by Wednesday (small country, sometimes the deliveries can be Amazon Prime like). Would like to get it back in to working by the weekend.

The older two kids a couple of days ago figured out it was fun to jump off their bunkbed onto the other bed below. I told them to stop. They did it again today, which added to my problems. A wise man at Highland Hardware in Atlanta once said "you can never have too many clamps". I would add that fast curing polyurethane wood glue is another must-have on hand at all times (and in fact it can stick many other materials).

We call that Gorilla glue over here. Takes 24 hours to dry properly. You got more clamps than Uncle Jed Clampett.

Prayers for you Ed, not sleeping and hurting is a tough combination.
Glad you got some sleep Ed.

I found a red golf cart but it needs batteries.View attachment 581579
Can it use the power packs from the ECO stuff? :)

Freedom Lives: I once ran out of fuel on a rented Diesel powered trencher. Couldn't get it started again until I took the fuel line leading to the injectors loose and poured fuel into it directly. That got the engine running long enough for the fuel pump to prime and take over. As I recall, I had to prime it a couple of times before it would stay running. I got into that trouble because the fuel gauge on the trencher was busted. The rental guy heard about that!
For the van, I have a little hand powered vacuum pump that I use (on my tractor) to hook into a line at the injector pump. Actually, I take out the bleeder screw and just stick the tube that fits into it and start pumping. When I get diesel up to the pump, I put the bleeder screw back in and usually starts up in about 10 seconds of cranking.

I tested the block heater and it's bad again. I'm not sure what's going on with it. This will be the fourth or fifth one I have replaced in the last three years. I'm thinking I'm doing some thing wrong but I'm not sure what it could be. I'll pick one up when we go to town this week and try again.
You won't need a block heater down here. :)

Farmer, let us know how the ABA therapy goes. I hope it goes well. We are having periods of bad reactions/behaviors with our daughter. She will listen to "her" chosen videos at a loud setting, and then even the slightest peep from her little brother can set her off.

Anticipating a lot of rain late this week.

Ron, holding the phone up to your head for an hour may ruin your good arm. I hate phone waits, but not as bad as office waits....

Nice pics Eric and Drew, thanks.

Chicken count is still holding at 2. They tend to get into their coop rather quickly these days. There is very little "pecking order".

Bush 41 will ride the train to College Station for his final resting spot at the Bush library on Thursday. Been hearing Great stories of the man. I don't think there exists a person with a finer resume. Fortunately, many have kept his letters written by him.

Hope you all have a blessed day.

32 Still snowing. Winter weather advisory for tonight.

US HWY 231 about 15 miles north of me. IMG_0169.JPG

Snow is still melting on contact here.

Kyle. It went well today for his first visit. They said anything prolonged under 12 hours a week couldn’t be considered ABA. Something that has made a big impact on him is his equine therapy. Might be something for you to try.

Jay. Thanks. Today was good. Just causing him to miss a lot of school. But school is open to the therapy once the paperwork is done. Was surprised to hear therapist have trouble getting into some schools.

Good evening all. 30F this morning, mostly sunny, calm wind. Sky clear much of the day but overcast moving in late in the day, light wind day, and high temp of 45F. Didn't start bike ride until 12:30 due to cold, did not work on the van, did get kitchen cleaned up and a nap :).
Drew, nice pics from the tractor. 2 questions how dirty did it really get, can you rig a sun shade for the hot summer days?
Ed good to hear about the sleep, prayers for continued improvement.
Farmer and Kyle and others working with special needs, you have my prayers.
Randy that sounded like a rude awakening!
PJ we went through the food during move in 2015, still finding expire date older than move:ashamed::eek:
prayers for all

Instead of drier, day got wetter. Took advantage and went to town. Picked up my concrete stain and sealer that was in stock. Unexpectedly got a call from the Mac store that has my iphone, Find My Iphone was still active and needed to turn off before service. Yesterday the screen started flashing green. Also got to enjoy a nice sushi lunch with wife before returning home where given the weather conditions a nap seemed most appropriate. Tomorrow’s another day.

15 right now....high about 30 today...

We took Bela to the Vet's yesterday. She'd been having troubles walking and can't jump up on the bed. The visit turned out pretty good...her nails needed trimming and that was part of it...plus, a little arthritis. Otherwise, she's in god health for a boxer almost 9 years old. We were all relieved by the visit...
