good morning. Those showers that missed Wingsprd are over my head, woke up to thunder and some rain, on and off today.
Looks like I'm going food shopping this morning instead of lawn mowing. It was getting pretty dry so this rain is needed.

Billy, here is the landscape cloth that lays flat on the ground, nothing grows under it at all, and if careful I can pull a tiller over it and not rip it.
Now the trick is to find it for about half this price.

Mostly, wow, good looking driveway scene. Forget those color critics, I like the colors! Blue is for water, perfect tow vehicle.

RNG, nice video, I love those things but don't feed them, they run around my porches and keep me company in the dirt in the barn, along with the little toads.

Buppies, catch a break. You deserve it.

Enjoy the day all.

Good Morning!!!! 75F @ 3:15AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 96F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph

Awoke to the sound of something complaining in the kitchen, and learned that once again the bulb in the UV filter had gone out. Changed it and the new one didn’t light, and neither did any of the other three I had on hand. Learned the unit had to be unplugged then plugged back in before it would try to light the bulb again.:irked: Which helps explain why I have so many spare bulbs on hand.:confused2:

Looks like a nice truck, Mostly, and if you put a white cap on it, you’ll not only save money, you’ll have the last “color” you need for a patriotic trio when the boat is hooked to the back. But that steering wheel has me harkening back to my first four function electronic calculator, which didn’t have nearly as many buttons as that steering wheel. How are you supposed to figure out which one needs pushing without taking your eyes off the road?

I really like having the little lizards around too, Drew. They’re very good bug hunters, and every bug they eat is one less that’s trying to get into the house. I’ve even seen them leap into the air to take them on-the-fly! I just hope the meal worms I’ve been feeding them don’t spoil their appetite for the wild variety. And I also wonder how one lizard can find room for *six* meal worms in its gut. Hope it doesn’t wear the skin on its belly off because it can no longer lift it clear of the ground!

Turns out I don’t have a puller for the wheel bearing races on the old BMW, so I’ll drop by my friend’s shop this morning for a little help. I was already in the process of ordering pullers for other common bearing sizes, so called yesterday to add one more to the order for next time...

Glad the ice maker decided to go through its crash and bang routine while I’ve been tying this so I might just get a little more sleep before morning.

Hang in there, folks, Friday’s comin’...

69 going to 85.

Brown spots on lawn and fields here, too. Could have used some of that rain yesterday, but maybe our 15% chance today will payoff. I'll leave a window down in the truck, or something as a lure...but not if it was a beautiful new blue Ford, like Mostly's.

Buppies, hope you get good news.

Drew, thanks for the tip on the fabric. Most of the reviews were good...but yes, more expensive. I found and used a fabric last year that was fairly cheap but worked 100%...just can't remember the brand...one I hadn't heard of.

We don't get individual notices either. I am signed up on the townships Facebook account. That's where the notice showed up.

I should have known that. I'm signed up with the city here to get such notices via email.

ron, I don't get razor burn either.
Maybe it is because I haven't shaved in over 20 years.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!

RNG- I wish I that I had a lizard friend.

Bruce- Nice looking truck. I like the colors on both boat and truck, and I agree about matching colors. I hope you have many hours of uneventful travel(s) on both.

Buppies- I hope you receive good news from your Doctor.

"... Drinking first cup of coffee. 48°F with clear skies this morning. Heading to 85°F with mostly sunny skies."- Ron

Same here. The indoor temperatures are getting down to 62ºF :D. Today we will not need A/C, but hopefully we will have an operational system by day's end.

The HVAC crew came a day early and delivered the new system (discovered a wrong exchange head) and dismantled the old system Tuesday PM. They ran out of wasp/hornet spray and called it a day. Wednesday Brogen went back to the doggie gulag and the HVAC crew returned and installed the entire system . Today the electrician will do his magic.

Hopefully Brogen will be a "sociable" kennel inmate. I believe they are "testing" him this visit with a "known" dog. I will bail him out later today. :)

Don- I hope Whipper is socializing well with other dogs. I think that I would "invest" more $ in an R/C sailboat than I have already spent on my drone craziness, but then I look out at my 18' fiberglass lawn ornament outside..........

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

wngsprd, I am a electric shaver person. I have tried to go back to a razor. But always end up with razor burn.

Me, too. I've been using a Norelco rechargeable corded/cordless for many years now; even had the battery replaced once. And then the replacement blades were no longer available for my 7825XL Norelco that I bought in 2002. So I bought a new one; top of the line, best, most expensive one available at the time (2016); S9311. And then too late, I learned that replacement blades, by the part number I'd always used, were no longer made, BUT there were other blades that would fit and work supposedly in the 7825XL. And the main feature of the S9311 is that it's both wet and dry use (I never use it wet), and it has it's own cleaning/lubricating system that may be nice if you live in an apartment, but I have an air-compressor close by that cleans mine very well. So I spent way more than I needed to.

I am sure your air compressor is in your shop. But I have not seen any pictures of your shop on GM. It was nice when we visited a few years ago.

Good morning! 70s to 90s today no rain. We had an inch Sunday so we are mostly green.

RNG that is one fat lizard. He reminds me of the one by the neighborhood pool yesterday, but our lizard was in the mouth of a roadrunner.

Eric, even with diesel trains fires start on the sides of the tracks when the vegetation is dry. There have been several trains that start small fires on the tracks for miles involving several fire departments as they travel.

Yesterday evening Whipper really started barking when some people were walking on the golf course with a dog. That is a no no here and we let her bark. She may be named the evening golf marshall.

I let Whipper stay outside last night for the first time since the move. She did not want in last night and while I was opening the door she took off in the yard clearly indicating that she thought she was up to camping out for the night. She did good, no barking that we heard.

This morning is her first hands on class and she will meet the other class dogs. The instructor made it very clear that there will be no interaction between dogs and for everyone not to let their dogs "socialize". That is a good thing for Whipper because she does not like her personal space to be violated.

Good looking truck Mostly!

Here's an old picture. it's 12' from the back door of the house (on the right, of course) across the patio/breezeway into the shop on the left.

72°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 91° today. iThingie is forecasting mid-90s for the next few days.

Nice-looking truck, Mostly. Congrats.

I hate shaving. Always have. I rarely shave more than every other day. Been using those Bic disposable things for as long as I can remember. I tried a few electric shavers back in the '90s - Norelco and Braun - and they always gave me razor burn, so I went back to the cheap blades. My father always used a safety razor, but I never cared for them. Tried a straight razor for awhile, too, but they're too much work. I get those ads for razor clubs every so often and just chuck them in the trash can. I'm just not into shaving enough to join a club for it.

Been looking at graphics programs lately to design my CD covers and inserts. As much as I really like what I see in the various offerings from Adobe, I absolutely hate the idea of paying $20/month for the rest of my life for the privilege of accessing their program. Why can't we just buy programs that we can own anymore? MS does that same BS with their Office 365 suite. I don't want my programs in a cloud somewhere, I want them on my hard drive. I did find a previous version of CorelDRAW (X8) from 2016 that looks like it will work. It's the downsized version they call Home and Student or something like that. Only $80. Thinking I'm going that direction. Anyone here into graphics with knowledge of these programs? This will be a completely new venture for me, but I'm kind of looking forward to learning something new.

Take a look at GIMP, they've add-ons for designing CD covers, it's free and widely supported.

I looked at GIMP about a year ago. I need to be able to import the PDF templates from the disc duplication company, and GIMP won't seem to do that without rasterizing them.

I started using GIMP when photoshop got too bloated and costly. It's got a lot of the same features, many similar, and most work really well. I've tried other package solutions, some of them are really nice for a photographer, but over time GIMP has kept me where others have ultimately just helped me keep going back to GIMP. I use a Macintosh and Windows and Linux... so I can use GIMP on any of them.

Is that a four string guitar you're playing in your avatar? :)

Ron mentioned not seeing pictures of my shop, and I posted an old picture of the patio/breezeway from the house to the shop. I haven't made any new pictures in the shop in a long time, but I reckon the only thing that's changed is the fact that I sold the pool table some time ago. The double door is the one coming from the patio and the single door is the other end of the shop going out back.
