Ed, mom was like that and doctor was going to put her on restive care. They changed her meds and she is not the same person since. Make sure the psych nurses are aware of her situation.

Ed- I agree with Randy. Your Mom needs a competent med review and psych evaluation. There could be a couple of "processes" going on here and some could be reversed. The elderly can get "whacked" by med changes. I hope the doctor ordered bloodwork (sepsis, electrolytes, etc.) and another UTI screen. My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for your Mom, you, and your family.

Snowing heavily here, The NWS is predicting ~12" for this area. It looks like ~5" has fallen so far. The birds have nailed the feeders this AM.... I will have to refill them at some point and get a mid storm measurement of the snow depth.

Nothing much going on except drinking excessive amounts of coffee, watching the weather reports and maps, snow and birds, and feeding the wood stove.

Buppies- March 20 - 22 timeframe. There are similarities to this modeled event with the possible phasing of a northern low pressure system and a more southerly tracking system. About a 100 pages ago you posted about this global northern hemisphere pattern of lows and highs setting up. We are seeing it with the recent weather events.

Thomas- If it does snow again next week. It will melt quicker thanks to increased solar angles.

The snow banding has been interesting out here this AM. Due to our relatively higher elevation and subfreezing temperatures the snow began accumulating immediately this AM and is fluffier than snow lower in elevation which began accumulating later. We really are near the western fringe of the snow. It looks like +8" of snow has fallen so far. With the wind the snow is drifting around too = my deck is getting drifts (again).

We are at around 12" of snow so far at 2:45PM. Went out to clear off deck
around 11AM - 3" at that time. Cleaned again at 1:30PM - another 4". At
2:45PM, there's a good 5 inches on the deck again. Coming down at over
2"/hr at the moment. Looks like the snow blowers (walk behind and 3pt
74") will get a good workout when this winds down.

My kids actually discuss a bit politics and economics with me. Though, I am sure after the first couple of minutes watching Carmen, they would much rather go to another episode of "Mia and Me", "Shaun the Sheep" or one of the many annoying anthropomorphic train cartoons.

My son split enough today to fill two 5 gallon buckets with wood. His arms are tired. Which is good. Kids with all their energy spent are less trouble at bedtime!

Andrew- I like your version of "Division of Labor and Social Order." It works. Kids are a lot smarter than we assume. Wait to they start "unionizing." You and your wife and family are great examples of effective parenting. And your kids deserve credit too.

Trails_End- We have +9" here. There is something about decks; they're snow magnets. Our deck captures the snowdrifts from these coastal storms = 18" in spots. Our BigGreenEgg is already shoveled out.

Went to funeral today of my friend who had been in hospice. Only lived here 5 yrs, moved here from Illinois after his wife died, to live near his daughter. Such a nice man. Funeral home was amazed at the crowd for a 90 yr old that hadn't lived here long.
Met some nice relatives from OK.

Prayers for all.

It definitely seems that way. I am glad to read that Lynn had a great attendance. Those attendees also showed up to show their respect for and support of you and your family.

It's sad that some "good" people pass and no one notices or cares and nobody shows up at the funeral.

Randy- I did not last 30 seconds.:embarrassed: I did not make it through the introduction(s).

Andrew- I would advise against future use of broadcasted motivational tapes to boost "worker" productivity, unless you and your wife are experienced in riot control.

just some pretty colors. This tree/giant bush is about to burst into tiny white flowers.

instead of taking the golf cart, after sitting and eating for three days, I walked. And walked, through both orchards, checked all the trees.
Beets are starting to poke up, snow peas a little larger and the garden just soaked from rain. Otherwise stayed in all day.
