Good Morning. 1050, partly cloudy, 92F {110F HI} with 66% humidity. Forecast high of 92F with 60% chance of thunderstorms today, and a low of 78F tonight. I guess I prayed for rain a little too hard yesterday. I got a nice little shower after I finished planting peas, green beans and sweet corn, and I was feeling really good about things. Then the bottom let go and we had a deluge. I've just spent 90 minutes trying to unearth my young transplants. I've had more trouble with this bunch than I can recall with any others.
I want to mow around the edges of the garden while I have all my hoses, plows, stakes and whatnot out of the way. Then this afternoon it's a quick trip to Marianna for the week's shopping, and later this evening Pizza Hut in Blountstown with the family.
I did a little baking last night, but nothing sweet like Drew. I did the lazy man's Jalapeno poppers, also known as Larro's Un-popped Jalapeno Stuffers. Much easier than regular poppers. It will take some tweaks to get the right cream cheese/cheese/Jalapeno/bacon/BBQ sauce ratio. Here is the recipe as prepared:
173g Jalapeno
86g Mexican blend cheddar cheese
8 oz cream cheese
116g partially cooked bacon
56g Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
Bake at 350F for about 30-35 minutes. 172 calories per 50g serving.
You guys have a good one,
Larro
