Is the horse wearing a coat?

It was indeed wearing a padded coat, though I don't know why, I was plenty warm that day in a T shirt. The other horse in the same field wore only a cunning smile as it tried to find a way to get past me at the gate. It has beaten me in the past and got through to round up the cattle in the next field when I was too slow to close the gate once the tractor passed.

Roy, bet you are wearing a smile too with the prospect of your new Kahr CW9 AND a Henry Survival Rifle arriving in the same week. You are never going to be able to retire if you keep getting more guns to feed. :)

A coat was much appreciated outside this morning. The rain is only light, but the rising wind is driving it with great effect.

Buckeye, so sweet you stayed up until midnight to celebrate. Congratulations to you both. :drink:

Kyle, no Teletubby land here, in fact not anywhere now. I gather the farmer got so fed up with sightseers, he dug up the mound and made a pond. Teletubbie Filming Location Warwickshire July 212 - Also in HD - YouTube Bring your kids over anyway, I'm sure they would all love to play together !

56 out this AM. Should be a good day. More lawn work on tap. The new mower has me reclaiming my front yard. Lol. I like the easy pull and go. I am all about turn key and gratification these days. Have a great day all. Be safe.

62 going to 80 and looks like the rain has ended.

Mowed a bit over an acre yesterday and looks like I'm due to replace the blades. I usually like to do my first mow of all the trails that have grass before sharpening or replacing in case I hit something new that I didn't find and remove on a hike. Apple trees are starting to bloom.

very warm day here, 68 going up to 83 today. Rained lightly during the night, bringing warm air up from the South
Going to work in the barn today cutting metal for my mower project. I got what I needed at TSC; now it's a matter of how
straight a line I can cut. And I might fire up the welder and do a little practicing, while I burn the burn pile and keep an eye on it.
Hope you all have a good day.

Congrats Buckeye.

Larro, how are you doing? We miss hearing from you.
I wonder if RS's fish have a little welding shop down in one corner of the tank...they must take after the old man...
RNG, let us share in your frustration and a few pics of wires going nowhere? Hopefully soon....we want to go on the maiden drive.
How many can we squeeze in there?
And may all new kitchens and bathrooms, which seem to be growing like Spring flowers, make wives everywhere happier.
And get finished on time, on budget, with no redo's. Well, maybe just keeping the wife happy will have to do. Doesn't seem like any of these jobs
go that smoothly.

Plumbers forgot to hook up the shower drain in my new bathroom and for two weeks I pumped soapy water into my newly mold free crawl space.
And usually you sure do have to QC the tile job carefully. Maybe it's end of long day tile laying but I had to get several pieces redone for either not being level or plain crooked on the wall.
My eye would go right to it, you wonder why theirs didn't... Often I think these guys work too many hours, and many subs are working second jobs after they finish the first one, so they are tired walking in the door. Just a recipe for mistakes. Thankfully it all gets done, cleaned up, and enjoyed.
The ladies sure do like their new faucets.

Drew sounds like you knew my plumber!

We are now using shower just have to remember where to put diverter valve position wise. Heated tile floor feels wonderful on bare piggys. Hung some pictures in bathroom last night getting closer and closer. Door hardware and valve all that's left this project almost in the books

Taking a shower yesterday look out the windows and a squirrel is looking at me standing on his back legs. Maybe he wanted a shower too

Nice day today, heading to the eighties. I'm really getting tired of these snake scares. This one while weedeating by the front gate. IMG_0400.JPG

This is the snake Harvey made from Grandpa's old rasp in his blacksmith forge. It still makes me jump when I'm not paying attention.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 59° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 78° with mostly sunny skies. Wind blew pretty hard yesterday afternoon and last night. Lots of palm branches on the ground. Taking wife to a doctor appointment today.
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Buckeye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning All.

Larro, how are you doing? We miss hearing from you.
.

Larro, I thought of you yesterday. I got a new Gatewood Cape poncho/tent and with the rain setting in I took it out to try in the rain. Works great! But I have to remember to bring tent pegs next time. Trying to do the Long Trail in Vermont if the job schedule works out.

Bought a Rotomec/John Deere PHD300 digger on Craigslist yesterday. Couldn't find out much about it on reviews on the web but seems stout. That horrid green and yellow sure clashes with my Kubota orange though.
Planted two peach trees with 3 year old grand daughter. Priceless!
I paid 650 for it so it's 325 dollars a hole running tally so far. Wife says let the neighbors see that and the hole requests will come flooding in!

Got the boat out and test ran yesterday with family. Daughter has issued request for trotline. I didn't know that was that big a deal to her in the past but I guess it is. So after coffee, I'm off to set it out.

All in all, a great day. Hope everyone else has one also. There was a sad note yesterday that reminded me to live each day.
I had emailed back and forth a gentleman last week on Craigslist about a canoe sailing kit he was selling. Nice man, loved boats and said he'd hold it for me due to me having company this week and couldn't make it. He was retired and said anytime was good for him. Also said since it was a fellow boat guy, he was going to give me a good deal.
Yesterday, decided to take little one and road trip up with an ice cream stop on the way.
I called the number he had emailed me and a lady picked up. When I asked for him by name, she started bawling into the phone! Finally she was able to choke out between sobs that he had passed away yesterday!
I did the best I could but never seemed adequate for the circumstances.

So live each day to all. You never know.

Not sure I understand the reduction in arterial blood flow. Does that also correspond with lower BP?
What if your BP is currently normal?

Drew, the answer to your question about oil or a high fat meal and blood pressure.
A high fat meal thickens the blood and stiffens the blood vessels and thereby, increases blood pressure.
But make sure you do not change your diet just because you are going to the doctor for your physical, let him get a good reading of what your daily BP really is.
