Thanks for all the kind words about the foot and toe.
My right leg below the knee never came back after the stroke (15 years ago). The foot always drags and just walking can result in stubbed toes. Most aren't bad, but when the toe gets bruised, it's like I'm hit with a low voltage TASER on the sole of my foot...wakes me up immediately and out of the bed.
It's a real bummer, and the weather in Vermont probably aggravates it...plus me getting older (65 in January).

Well the first winter snow has been cancel just shower or two temps much cooler for the weekend....I'll take it.
8 hours and its the weekend. lots of outside prep jobs for the weekend.

48 this morning and headed nowhere today. We have seen the high for today. That's always lovely when the high is before daylight. Temps slowly falling through the day. Light rain out right now. More rain for trick or treating tonight. Snow forecast has been moved to our east. Main snow is now forecast east of Frankfort.

Roy sounds like you need a long weekend of R&R.
MFW hang in there. Have you thought of any retraining for a different area or to better yourself in your current one. Unemployment offers some programs.
Drew you know the rules on TBN. Pictures or it didn't happen. Mainly of new PHD.

31F headed to ~50F today. Chilly wet weather Saturday PM through Sunday they say.

My new eyeglasses are ready to pick up and I need to get a few groceries this morning while in town.

I've thought about it, but with 33 years in my field, I've been a VP of sales once, and I'm pretty valuable here and yes too specialized really to do anything else...

70F and .40 inches rain last 24 hours. A bit of blue sky showing this am.

Lava - quite interesting. Very unpredictable. Apparently while is follows some natural laws not as well as things like water. 2000F. Consider that the current flow stretches more than 13 miles, been traveling since jun 27. There are areas you can walk on the crust yet the leading edge is still molten and glowing. Not sure how the scientists decide when and where it is safe as break throughs are common. Fascinating for sure and a major news item locally with lots of video daily. Besides the USGS, the newspapers, the local Honolulu TV stations (KITV, KHON ) all link to some. Really close to cutting through Pahoa town and 6 miles to the ocean. Truths is nobody knows nor can accurately predict where or how far it goes today. It also could completely stop anytime before or after town. Fascinating and some of the pictures are awesome. Safety of the people is the prevailing thought here. Most locals just accept that whatever happens to the land is beyond control and totally up to Pele. You could say that the whining or wailing "woe is me" is left to those some might consider as not belonging here. Very interesting
