Good morning!!!!

Good Afternoon. 1225, Sunny, 66F with 52% humidity. Forecast high of 73F with 0% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 40F tonight. Saturday and Sunday's overnight lows are predicted to be 36F, our coldest weather of the season. I'm going over to help Mamma get her plants inside this afternoon. She always has more than will fit, so it's not a job I look forward to.

It was a close thing, but I got through last night's ball game without having a heart attack. This season the Noles have turned into the Cardiac Kids. It would be so much easier on my blood pressure if they would show up before they got down 21-0. But from that point {2 minutes to go in the 1st half} they outscored the Cardinals 42-10. Much of that was thanks to three true freshmen, so the future is looking bright in Tally.

Happy Halloween. Look out for the little kiddies if you are on the road later on. {I got out of the Navy 31 years ago today}

Drew you know the rules on TBN. Pictures or it didn't happen. Mainly of new PHD.

ok ok, ask and ye shall receive.
did a lot of grass seeding today to cover roots; some of what was planted before is now coming up nicely. Mostly ryegrass but I mixed some Scott's Southern mixture in it.
could not put the phd on by myself since the quick hitch had to come off. Need another set of hands.

sheetrock crew finished the new bathroom today; fun to watch them maneuver on stilts.

Drew,

When I need to remove my quick hitch I attach it to the box blade ... and then drop both of them (while connected together) ... including the top link.

Nice looking PHD ...

48F & cloudy now. We had a nice sunny day for the most part. I was out cutting wood and around 3pm I could feel the cool, humid air starting to sneak in.

Sodamo, Thanks for the lava info. I guess a person would just have to accept that as fate/Pele/whatever and move on. It would be freaky to watch it happening. I noticed the news said they had repaired two gravel roads to provide access/exit to Pahoa. I figured it must get some crust on top after a while. Breaking through does not sound like a good thing.

I could be tempted to have a little fun. There must be some temperature point where a sword could be stuck in the lava:

Drew, that's quite the auger!

The doctor's office called and said my blood tests were all negative for Lyme, Rocky Mtn. Fever and some other tick-borne stuff. That's good news but now I have no idea what was making me sick to begin with. I guess it will either come back or not. Whatever.

Sunday is looking to be a raw day. Upper 30's with stiff NNW winds, rain and <1" of snow.

Dave,

My next door neighbor got sick a few years back with what sounds like similar symptoms.

FWIW, they finally traced it back to mold from I think slab wood that he was using to heat his home.

Drew nice auger. That should make planting anything easier.

Dave stay on doctors to figure it out. I was sick for 8 months this year finally got doctor to add some test and they found it.

Checking in late.... Been going a little nuts, having problems with the well at my wife's shop, and working with my sister. She is starting a resturant with her husband. Kinda exciting, never been in any type of food biz. She is buying a old building, rehabbing it. I am going to be the grunt, and jack of all trades for them.

I am hearing that some local landowners are refusing to extend agreements with hunt clubs. They don't want the liability for hunters on their property. If this turns out to be a common theme, deer hunting here is going to change quite a bit.

Getting chilly here.

Had a really nice buck cross the road in front of me this morning. I had to stop for it.

Took the RFM off today, removed the 3PH arms, and put the BH back on.

Around here the timber companies all lease their land to hunt clubs to rid themselves of the liability. The club, when they sign the lease, assumes all the liability. Not sure how small land owners handle it. We have one family who hunts on our farm, and it does worry me. But even if folks trespass on your land and get hurt, they can sue. It's a crazy world.

Drew, the crew that did the sheetrock on my house used redneck stilts. They had five gallon buckets with holes cut in them for webbing, which they used to strap to their feet. It worked. Although this was before the tile or carpet was laid down.
