I had a mouse build a nest in a s10 I that was a daily driver. I was driving down the road, had smoke coming out! I found a big nest there, cleaned it out, then continued on. It cost me a new set of plug wires.

A little gloomy here, looks like a little snow here.

Good Morning. 1015, overcast, 51F with 94% humidity. Forecast high of 56F with 40% chance of rain today, and a low of 40F tonight. Weatherunderground says we got .36" since midnight, but the old finger in the five gallon bucket method shows a little over an inch for the night. I'm just getting in from the camp, and while rain on a tarp shelter is loud, having a mouse decide he's at home in your camp is even noisier. Every step he took during the night was on a tarp, and I could hear it.

I did get started back on a cobbing project this morning. I was doing a little shoveling in my hole and was finding so much good sand and clay, I took a break to go down to the pond and cut some straw. Since I found my slingblade, I want to cut some briars here at the house where I start my trees, then I'm going back to work on my reflective fireplace.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

PW is back together and working as designed, thanks to the morning crew especially RNG.

More due to your elbow grease and persistence!

Yesterday we got new chairs for the dining table. They were all arm chairs that swivel, rock and roll, and did not fit under the table. Since the table is a early 1900 oak table and was low for the smaller people back then, I raised the round legs up two inches with these from Lowes Shop 2-1/2-in Beech-Birch-Hickory Classic Bun Feet Wood Table Leg at Lowes.com

It came out good. Two projects complete in one day I need to slow down.

That table looks like it was born that way. Nice job!

Mind sharing the make and model of those chairs? Been shopping for a new kitchen table setup, and when I say I want swivel rockers on rollers for chairs they look at me like I have three eyeballs or something. :confused2:

Upper 40's today with milky sunshine, low 40's and windy tomorrow. Started wiring my tractor shed today, got the cable trenched in and connected to the electric box.

Good morning! 31˚ heading to 71˚ sunny - nice day when it warms up a bit.

Roy, my Moms new Camery had a mouse nest in the air filter also but she only drives it twice a week. I guess they can't put screens in the air entrance.

The Farmall project is up and going. The HF tall jack stands worked perfect. However I'm stuck because I can't get the Steering arm to slide off. There is a keyway on the new part (used) but I don't know if it is a separate key or part of the shaft or if it makes a difference. How do you get it off???? I thought once I got the nut off, I could tap it down, but it did not budge.

You need some type of puller it seems. It looks like a tapered fit, which will take a puller or possibly some strategic tapping on it's side.

Your old one also has the key way. I'm going to say the shaft has a half moon key in it. Could be wrong but no key coming out it the bolt. The old ones no good so if a bearing puller won't get it, I'd just cut it off and roll on. Applying some heat to the steering arm but no letting the shaft get hot might also free it up.

Don, did you try a wedge fork? Laymans term, the tool one uses to remove tie rods, and ball joints. If that won't do it then I would cut the old one off. The extension legs look good on the table, are you going to Lacquer them?

Drew, brakes on a wagon are to keep the horse from going to fast like when they think they are going home or if something spooks the horse. They also keep the wagon/buggy from pushing the horse. I know others can explain Hyd. vs Electric in more detail, but simply put... Electric brakes assist in stopping, Hydraulics will lock up the wheels

Kev T, if wagon has standard electric brakes. The controller I linked with a foot switch should work well. It will need to be mounted in a waterproof container.Good Morning All.

I am not sure what you are suggesting, but I am all ears

Roy, glad thing worked out for the better even at a disappointing cost
