Yep...judgement call...sometimes we make the right decision...sometimes not. Even when it does freeze, I've had reasonably good luck in moving the frozen stuff once I make a first "break through"....although I did bust up my Gator's plow last winter when clearing frozen slush.

Snowing here again...so, I think I'll wait, kick back watch some old movies and have a beer or three...

Sounds like a plan. I'm going to make some buckwheat pancakes for breakfast. The carbs and maple sugar will keep me warm later. It would be a good day for a wussy cabbed tractor if there is drizzle falling. :D

So, when the going gets tough, the tough cocoon themselves in a heated wussy box and play carols?

It's sad what this country is coming to. What would Davy Crockett do?

Well ole Davy would probably be standing outside in that mess look for a squirrel or rabbit so he could eat today. Or gathering firewood with an axe so he could warm up and dry out. Instead of sitting in the house playing with a thermostat to stay warm and cook food. :).

RIP WayneB.

He was so happy with visits with his kids, enjoyed his camp time, the garage was about done, then poof. Bummer.

It is sort of like a bucket of ice water, sadness for Wayne and his family of course, but also being reminded that our days are numbered too.

For WayneB's family & friends -

What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, we see a butterfly.

What we call the end of the world, God sees an Angel - coming Home, at last.

WayneB, R.I.P. I just spent a hour going over the thread. We have lost a couple of guys that contributed here quite a bit. Jinman, comes to mind. Makes me think about mortality.

Have a good weekend, guys. Hug the wife and kids, I guess you never know when it is the last time.

Seems like we keep loosing good members this year. Hate to hear about Wayne. We are never guaranteed another breath. So remember not to take your family and friends for granted. Everyone else stay safe. Tell wife and kids what they mean to you.

30.6F @ 03:40 ... haven't been on in a while ... have some reading to do to catch up.

Looks like the inverter board in my MacBook finally decided to die ... the display won't light anymore. One more thing to fix ... and is really screwing with my normal routine. Currently on the seat of pain on Cupcake's computer ...

Update on the furnace: it was a bad gas valve ... not only the old one, but the new replacement one as well (Thanks Honeywell)

HVAC guy came out and was scoping out the furnace and on the first call for gas ... nada ... so on the second cycle he takes his pliers and when the gas valve tries to actuate he gives the (ahem ... new) gas valve a whack ... and bingo: the burners ignite.

Since then - with one exception I think - the burners have ignited every time there is a call for heat.

House is currently a nice toasty 74F ... despite Cupcake's protests ...

HVAC guy is trying to track down a replacement valve (we got the only one Robertson had in their 21 warehouses) ... but I'm inclined to leave it alone if continues to work. Might have just needed exercised a little ... which it will definitely get in the coming days.

Did the first degrease on the Kubota day before yesterday ... still lots of goo on it from the leaky rear remotes and the drooling loader valve ... sprayed it again yesterday with Gunk to let it soak overnight ... will pressure wash it again today.

Looking forward to having all/most of the hose connections converted to JIC and nothing but skidsteer flush face QD's on it ...

Spent most of yesterday cleaning up the concrete dust in the shop and putting tools away.

Gonna head up there in a few and see if there's any fire left.

Hope everyone has a good day.
