Bird That pending deposit may be something else. The stimulus checks would have totaled $2,800. I have not received any notification as of this morning. I too am running the A/C.

I read last week that this time around, the amount of stimulus we receive is somehow related to our actual need, so fourteen hundred a head isn't a sure thing for everyone.

Drew, the second shot effectiveness is two weeks after injection. I just passed my 2 weeks yesterday. Now I just have the long term side effects of the vaccination to look forward to - hope they are nothing. Glad you did not get flu like symptoms after your 2nd. No J&J this week in our county.

I think one of the MedCram videos explained that "effectiveness" is measured in terms of severe illness. People that have been vaccinated are getting sick, but they're not being hospitalized, and they're not dying. The video also explained that vaccinated people can still transmit the virus, so the hand sanitizer, social distancing, and mask mandates will remain in place in spite of the 4th of July promises in the news. 🤬

FWIW, there were only three students in yesterday's class. One of the other students and the instructor had both had CV-19. And I wore a mask the whole time...

Nor should it be...the cutoffs for the maximum is still pretty high, IMHO.
The caveat, of course, is the cost of living in each state. Vermont is fairly high, but probably not as high as New York State or New Jersey

Novocain wore off about 2:30 pain still pretty sharp might be a rough night sleeping.

Sorry about your pain LS, will you miss the big snow?
Unfortunately yes, the snow and most of the precipitation will go just north of us.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High 67F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Nice day yesterday, and it looks like today will be the same. Increasing clouds tomorrow, with a chance of rain overnight into Monday.

The pharmaceutical companies must be catching up on production. I saw a headline this morning the the US and several other countries are banding together to make sure people in Southeast Asia all get the vaccine by the end of '22. Seems premature to me since the vast majority of people here in the US have yet to get the jab, but what do I know?

I wonder, Rick, if the lip seal is just an o-ring, if you could cut it to the correct length then super glue the ends back together to get the part you need? I finally broke down last month and purchased an o-ring kit that has both SAE and metric cords, along with adhesive and a sort of jig, to make, supposedly, every o-ring. So now I'll probably never need another one.

It's good to hear most are having little to no side effects to the vaccine. About what I experienced with the regular flu shot this year.

Amazon deliveries here lately have also been "on time", but the duration of those deliveries has increased significantly. I used to regularly get two day Prime delivery, and one day once in a while. Now it's more like four or five days. Sure hope that's not the new normal.

I haven't been on an airliner since I retired eleven years ago, Paul, and I don't miss it one little bit.

Got a call from my Klamath Falls buddy last night, him having completed his last day of work, ever. Said he's got a big trailer showing up at his place Wednesday, and is leaving with it and a friend's truck for KF Saturday. Then back with him to pick up his car, and that's it for California and him. I'm just glad he found another friend with a pickup truck.

#2 Diesel was over $3.50/gallon here yesterday, Bill. Fortunately, the just less than ten gallons I purchased was just a top off...

Started yesterday with another defensive shotgun course, this time with the gas gun. Learned a couple new techniques, and no new bruises thanks to the softer recoil. I think it's a keeper.

Found another dunning letter from T-Mobile in yesterday's mail, and managed to get a call back this time. I'd tried a couple days ago and gave up when the robot system scrambled my call back number. And I'd just mailed them a letter detailing the fiasco, so I was pretty much loaded for bear when the English-as-a-second-language gal called. But after being put on hold a few times, I got assurances that the problem had been fixed and a case number to refer to if I ever have to call again. It only took three months, five phone calls, several emails, and a letter...

Kept the bandsaw running most of the afternoon and finished welding up half a dozen pallet loops. Still have a couple more to go, but I should manage to get a pair done today, and maybe even get 'em filled. And maybe another pair tomorrow before the rain hits.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

"I wonder, Rick, if the lip seal is just an o-ring, if you could cut it to the correct length then super glue the ends back together to get the part you need? "

No .. once I got it apart .. it's definitely a lip seal. Originally .. due to poor online pictures, confusing online information .. I thought it was an o ring.

"Amazon deliveries here lately have also been "on time", but the duration of those deliveries has increased significantly."

I'm seeing more one day deliveries now than ever before. A GE ballast .. for 4 x T8 lights .. in one of our attics failed. Ordered a new one ($10.80) from Amazon yesterday and it will be in my mailbox this afternoon.

Got Ellen’s second shot and Hardee’s breakfast. I can’t wait until enough if us are vaccinated to get out of the pandemic, though I fear it’s going to be like the flu, waiting for us anytime and requiring ever changing yearly vaccines.

Picked up groceries and made a TSC stop for four containers of cat litter yesterday. Then cut up the rest of the chicken breasts I’d grilled at lunchtime, and put them in a garden salad for dinner.
Not sure what I’ll do today in the cooler weather. Can’t sit on the deck so I might try to hold down my recliner.

Good morning to all! Low of 32, high of only 47 expected today. At sunrise, there was a large band of clouds off to the east. It disappeared within an hour. So much for any precipitation happening!

I must be compensating for the knee....now I have really bad jolting pain across my lower back, acting like sciatica nerve pain. Not happy!

4 for 4 deliveries this week! Woohoo! 2 of them arrived late in the evening, but at least they arrived!

Probably won't do much of anything today, just keep moving.... I am wearing a path in the hardwood floor....

Everyone have a great weekend!

Cleared a path to the outbuilding so I can get those all-season tires.
Almost got the tractor stuck, since I was using the front blade to clear the path. I have turf tires on the 4052R and they're good in the snow....but it's still 7-9 inches of frozen snow on the lawn. Got about 40-50% of the way and no more traction even using 4WD. So, backed out and used the snow blower. That did the job, but still dicey in some spots. Cleared a 6' path and turn-around area at the outbuilding.
After that was done, took the Gator (855D) to make sure I'd get there and back...which it did. Didn't get the tires though...had the bed of the Gator loaded with stuff...need to offload that today.
There was no way I'd have beaten a path with the Tacoma...or the Gator, without snow blowing that path. Other than a couple areas, the snow is still frozen enough to let me walk on top without breaking through.
All-season tires will be loaded on the Tacoma tomorrow afternoon after I unload the Gator. Although the path is pretty wide, I'm not going to risk getting the truck stuck...
After I was done...I thought of my neighbor's Gator stuck down on the field...doubt he gets it back home for another 3-4 weeks.
I do think tracks would be nice (on the Gator)....if I can find a decent used set, might make the leap...

On another topic, I'd purchased Mr. Heater Buddy and Flex heaters about 3-4 weeks ago. Had time to check out the "Buddy" this morning...puts out a lot of heat! If there's a "downside", the heat is uni-directional, so it best to have it directed towards you. The Flex has a 180 degree distribution of heat, so it'll warm a larger area. The Buddy would be a great heater for cool weather campers...look on YouTube for a bunch of videos. Also, in emergency situations when the power goes out...
I'll still use the electric space heater for cold weather in the sunroom, but these Mr. Heater heaters will work great for those cool days when you want to relax on the deck.

I noticed this morning they show an "In Process Transaction" of a deposit of $2,400 to be deposited in 3 days, so we get a little more for the pandemic. Are our heirs going to be bankrupted?

Some people are sending them back.
My CFO made me send the last one back. She said it had been sent to me in error and they would come after me sooner or later. Giving money back is hard for me.

Which trail? I want to hike bad, but not sure I can go far.
Hazel Falls and Cave, MP33.

I hope you can get out there soon. Have you thought about some test hikes/conditioning hikes nearby, like at Cunningham Falls St Pk or Catoctin Mtn?

How many weeks after you have had covid will they allow you to take the vaccine. There was a question on the paperwork but it was a question with no explanation. Will they count your acquired virus as the first dose?

I don't know. I answered yes to the question, but the front office gal just checked for my signature. I will ask.
