Is it Summer yet? I've had to turn on the A/C the last couple of days because it got too warm in the house. Low temperature of 65 at night and going to near 80 in the daytime.

I went ahead and got 8 clocks set forward for Daylight Savings Time to start tomorrow.

I just now paid the biggest electric bill I've ever gotten: $331.78 and worth every penny. We stayed comfortable through the big freeze this year.

My credit union sometimes shows pending deposits and I noticed this morning they show an "In Process Transaction" of a deposit of $2,400 to be deposited in 3 days, so we get a little more for the pandemic. Are our heirs going to be bankrupted?

52 and some clouds going to 61.

Buppies, hope you're not hurting too much today.

Toppop, congrats on getting fully baked with the vaccine. Glad it went pretty easy. It's been helpful to read about others going through the process as we waited to get our shots. Neither of us have had a problem with the first shot, and my mom and sister finished their second shots last week with no probs.

Bird, it certainly was hot enough the other day for A/C...we didn't cut the house on, but I used it in my truck on the way home from the mountains. Our electric bill for Feb was the smallest we've received...helps when an ice storm knocks your power out for a couple of days. :)

I did my dump run yesterday, and filled the truck (2.75) and the diesel jug (2.59) on the way. Then roasted a couple of batches.

Good morning
32 and going to 48 today with clear skies.

Yesterday went better than I expected, instead of driving to Philly, I drove to the local airport where my little plane lives and flew there instead. 15 minute drive, and a 6 minute flight (7 on the way back). Even with the time spent getting the plane in and out, it cut my travel time in half.
Got to play some music, do a few chores and have a great dinner with the family. My oldest son prepared bacon wrapped scallops and salmon that he cooked on my grill. I put a couple of porterhouse steaks on there as well. Best part was watching 10 month old grandson chasing the Roomba around. He would crawl along side of it with one hand on it tirelessly.

I actually have to work a few days coming up, but nothing after that. Hilton Head today, Vero Beach tomorrow and the Stuart on Tuesday. At least I’m home every night, not even sure where my suitcase is any more. I always chuckle when people talk about retirement travel. I’d be perfectly content to never go farther than the end of my lane.

According to the FAA, I have to wait 48 hours after getting a shot to fly, so I’ll probably get a notification for an appointment in the next few days. That’s the way my luck runs.

Good morning. It's 67°, humid, but not as windy as past few days. Our high should be over 80° this afternoon. There is also some rain in our Sunday forecast.

I received notice, from USPS, that my ordered compressor repair parts were to be delivered yesterday so .. I removed the original piston lip seal and it was torn and likely the entire problem. Didn't remove it earlier because the screw that secured the piston to the connecting rod .. was very tight so, I gave it a smal shirt of Fluid Film and let it soak.

I went in circles trying to source the lip seal only .. as the repair parts outfits all want to sell you the complete kit of connecting rod, piston, thin cylinder, and lip seal for $60-$70. I thought I'd identified the right part #for the lip seal but, when I opened the package it was actually a 1.5" O-ring. So .. back to square #1.

I found a lip seal, on Amazon, last evening that looks close. Most show no dimensions but, this one did and I decided it's worth $8.59 to find out. We'll see Monday if .. I've wasted my $8.59.

Hope everyone has a peaceful, pain free day.

Prayers to all.

Bird That pending deposit may be something else. The stimulus checks would have totaled $2,800. I have not received any notification as of this morning. I too am running the A/C.

Drew, the second shot effectiveness is two weeks after injection. I just passed my 2 weeks yesterday. Now I just have the long term side effects of the vaccination to look forward to - hope they are nothing. Glad you did not get flu like symptoms after your 2nd. No J&J this week in our county.

Buppies good to see you posting, hope all your pains subside.

Sadamo, Our local news is reporting 3 people in Hawaii who were fully vaccinated now have covid - the 5%?

Good morning! 66˚F wet outside cloudy heading to the high 70s. Tempest says a trace of rain, first time I've seen "trace".
I need to turn the irrigation off at the garden so the potatoes do not rot.

Good Morning!!!! 45F @ 5:15AM. Sunny. High 67F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Nice day yesterday, and it looks like today will be the same. Increasing clouds tomorrow, with a chance of rain overnight into Monday. 👍

The pharmaceutical companies must be catching up on production. I saw a headline this morning the the US and several other countries are banding together to make sure people in Southeast Asia all get the vaccine by the end of '22. Seems premature to me since the vast majority of people here in the US have yet to get the jab, but what do I know?

I wonder, Rick, if the lip seal is just an o-ring, if you could cut it to the correct length then super glue the ends back together to get the part you need? I finally broke down last month and purchased an o-ring kit that has both SAE and metric cords, along with adhesive and a sort of jig, to make, supposedly, every o-ring. So now I'll probably never need another one.
🤣

It's good to hear most are having little to no side effects to the vaccine. About what I experienced with the regular flu shot this year.

Amazon deliveries here lately have also been "on time", but the duration of those deliveries has increased significantly. I used to regularly get two day Prime delivery, and one day once in a while. Now it's more like four or five days. Sure hope that's not the new normal.

I haven't been on an airliner since I retired eleven years ago, Paul, and I don't miss it one little bit.

Got a call from my Klamath Falls buddy last night, him having completed his last day of work, ever. Said he's got a big trailer showing up at his place Wednesday, and is leaving with it and a friend's truck for KF Saturday. Then back with him to pick up his car, and that's it for California and him. I'm just glad he found another friend with a pickup truck.😄

#2 Diesel was over $3.50/gallon here yesterday, Bill. Fortunately, the just less than ten gallons I purchased was just a top off...

Started yesterday with another defensive shotgun course, this time with the gas gun. Learned a couple new techniques, and no new bruises thanks to the softer recoil. I think it's a keeper.

Found another dunning letter from T-Mobile in yesterday's mail, and managed to get a call back this time. I'd tried a couple days ago and gave up when the robot system scrambled my call back number. And I'd just mailed them a letter detailing the fiasco, so I was pretty much loaded for bear when the English-as-a-second-language gal called. But after being put on hold a few times, I got assurances that the problem had been fixed and a case number to refer to if I ever have to call again. It only took three months, five phone calls, several emails, and a letter...🤬

Kept the bandsaw running most of the afternoon and finished welding up half a dozen pallet loops. Still have a couple more to go, but I should manage to get a pair done today, and maybe even get 'em filled. And maybe another pair tomorrow before the rain hits.🤞

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
