67°F and .07 inches rain. Slept in a bit. Seem to be having some reaction to my 2nd Moderna. Chills during the night, woke up with sore arm. Feeling a bit achy, headache, and generally blah right now. Sophie had the chills and took an ibuprofen early than me and says she is feeling much better. The end of that storm is coming in from Oahu so a good excuse for energy conservation. Shot process was as good as last time, smooth. Same friends showed up just like first shots with 6 of us early, some of us more than hour early. No matter, no wait, awesome with all the clinic folks with great attitudes.
A bit disappointed with the documentation, simple computer print out. Sophie did get hers annotated in her yellow shot record. Will be interesting to see how “proof” is instituted.

Glad to read others here doing well medically and otherwise. Seemed like I was never going to get caught up reading yesterday and by the time I did the day was over for most of you. I haven’t read through today yet and likely find I’m still behind.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Don, haven’t read the details about those 3 cases yet. Terrible to assume, but if I did I’d guess they weren’t playing safe during the shot period. Of course we all know the shots aren’t 100% against getting the virus, just the outcome.

Seems to be lack of detail except the travelling medical person.

Have to admit to some reservation regarding the stimulus checks, but that won’t prevent me from accepting or spending. I’m already mentally claiming it bought me a Tempest weather station

Not to be political, just an observation, I am more concerned about the media hype that 70% of people approve. I’m willing to guess that 90% of those 70% cannot cite at least 2 provisions of the bill that they don’t benefit from personally.

Assuming the polling referred to is accurate, what concerns you about it ?

I’m willing to guess that 90% of those 70% cannot cite at least 2 provisions of the bill that they don’t benefit from personally.

Extended unemployment benefits and the COBRA subsidies.

;)

txdon said, "Bird That pending deposit may be something else. The stimulus checks would have totaled $2,800. I have not received any notification as of this morning. I too am running the A/C."

And of course you're right. It DOES say, $2800; don't know how I managed to type $2400.

Sorry, not going down there. Reread what I wrote.

Congrats, you are in the 10%.

But you are right I should have said “ cannot cite at least 2 provisions of the bill that they don’t benefit from personally or hyped in the news report which usually only mentions “money”coming to individuals.

Good to here that you are doing ok David. We got an email from our primary care physician this morning that they will begin administering Moderna vaccine this Monday. My wife qualifies as 1C and I’ll wait list.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

A friend of mine had a weird problem with his Cessna a couple of days ago. He is an aeronautical engineer. He took off from a local field to fly home and a flap jammed. This caused the plane to go into a very tight turn. He struggled with it and found that he had to use opposite aileron and rudder to fly straight. He headed for home as he has a large strip with wind in the right direction. He couldn't land where he had just left from as it had a cross wind and it would not have been possible to correct for that. He found keeping speed at 80 knots was the only speed he could control the plane. His landing was very fast and he used up the full strip with none to spare.
On inspection the flap had split and burned out the flap motor. It was also badly twisted. The motor should never have burned as it has protection circuits. It also works both flaps together. None of what happened makes sense. Cessna people are working with him trying to work it out. He is a very lucky man. He owns 2 Cessnas and a Citabria.
Please tell your friend to give the Citabria to a museum and park it.

A man I loved died in one. They have a wooden fuselage that is prone to cracking. He was a retired Air Force Lt-Col, and had about 10000 hours. He bought the plane to teach his daughter, me, and do some light aerobatics. He was taking another man up, to teach him a bit, and no one knows exactly what happened. The plane augered in. Many suspect the fuselage frame cracked. It was, but unsure what caused it.
