This is a full time permanent position. I expect I'll be there until I retire...not sure when I'll do that though (unless I win a lottery).

I'm trying to find out exactly where I'll be (for the house search). I might be at a DoD supplier or on a WV National Guard base.

Coffee needs to be put on. 78 this morning. heading to a high of 91. With a 10% chance of thunderstorms. With weather they had around Dallas that. its best to keep a eye on the sky. Got errands to run today.

Well, I'll be stationed at one of two DoD suppliers in the Bridgeport WV area. Sent all the required paperwork in...
Now, I just need a start date.
Since the job doesn't provide relocation, we'll rent a U-haul big enough to move our gear. I hope the F-150 is heavy enough to haul the 4400.
I'm figuring we'll rent for a while, until we get established. The optimal thing would be to rent to buy...

33 here now, just came in from scraping the frost off the wife's car so she could go to work, when it gets a bit warmer I will go out and begin digging out and chopping up the last box elder tree stump along our driveway, I did two yesterday and am happy there is only one left to do. Supposed to hit the mid-50's later today.

Lot's of folks in the southern parts of Ft. Worth, Arlington, Dallas, and east of there are waking up this morning to a huge job of cleanup. Luckily, nobody was killed and few severe injuries so far.

It's 54F here this morning, cooler than it's been in a a couple of weeks. The rain has left me with a field full of happy bluebonnets. Ron, for the first time, you'll have bluebonnets right outside your RV when you come by to visit on your way home. They have grown up to the RV pad I built.

In my office, when I worked, coffee often got left on overnight so the first person in--often me--was greeted to that carmelized smell of burnt residue. Helped me switch to tea.

I need to fire up the mowers soon. One of them I want to sell simply because I do not need 2, and the other one I need to put slime in the right front tire because it keeps going flat. My middle daughter get to larn how to mow this year. she is finally over 75 lbs and should be able to drive without the seat nanny turning off the mower. She wants to learn how to drive the Kioti too! My oldest is intimidated by driving the big tractor she says.

Yeah, pretty happy about the job...but it's still got a ways to go before everything is together...background check (bit more intensive then a typical job) and other odds and ends. Taking longer then I expected, so I'm trying to do some consulting work or contracting in the interim.
