Good morning, the temp is 40°F and only going to 45. Wind WSW 8 mph. About an inch of rain coming this afternoon and tonight.

I may go out and move some more snow piles off the neighbours' south boundary. This is an annual affair. If I was to leave the piles where they are, then his neighbour to the south would get flooded out. I did move 1/3 of the pile the last time I went out. This pile is 9' high and 50' long and about 10-15' deep.

Alligators & crocodiles, in my opinion, should be shot on sight. What good are they other than for boots and purses?

Eric, your 'wellies' are our sheep boots. They come in real handy in the sheep pen. IF you get to send the male sheep to the slaughter, then who/what breeds the ewes? Maybe it is you, you do have the boots for it.:laughing:

Have a safe day all

Yup. Rain today here and also down in TO for our ride back down this afternoon, with more rain this week and next, along with above freezing temps.

By the time we get back up next weekend, the driveway will probably be down to the bare gravel.

Sometime in the next two or three weeks, they will start to fill the lake up (Kawagama Lake). Then the water will rise almost 4 feet! And the ice will float around, mashing up a bunch of docks. Happens every Spring.

Also, the creek in front of the cottage, which is now hidden under the snow and barely a trickle, will turn into a raging torrent. Will post pics when the time comes.

Good morning all. Time for coffee!

PS do y’all think it’s time for Jasper’s Spring Airedale trim? Daughter thinks so. He kinda looks like a sheep right now. LOL

Roy nice pistol. I need to get a laser for my LC9s like Rick has.

Rick, is your Lasermax red or green.

Crimson Trace makes a nice laser sight. It mounts quire compactly with the trigger guard as shown in the picture below (Kahr CW pistol)
Mine is a red laser and sighted in for 6-7 yards. IIRC, green lasers are available too, but at a higher price and reduced battery life. Check on Amazon...

Poured second cup of coffee. 41ー with clear skies this morning. Heading to 59ー with rain in pm. Finally got net off garden pond. Fish did good this winter. Still have 10 fish. Golf cart ran like it should. Dogs enjoyed the ride. Yard cleanup today. That will take a few days. County snow plow put a lot of road gravel on lawn. But they did not break mailbox this year.
Lots of critters in yard. Hard to pick a best picture.

Buppies, thanks for pictures. Area is steep.

David, lots of covered area to keep you from getting wet when it rains.

RNG, video did not work.

Roy nice pistol. I need to get a laser for my LC9s like Rick has.

Rick, is your Lasermax red or green.

Looking, Alligator boots for what?

Drew, good plan on going north. Glad to hear prescrip is working.

Mostly, riding gear picture. Looks like you are wearing a ankle brace. I need one on my left ankle.

Good Morning All.

41 and clear, going to 74.

Buppies, real nice clean up job. I want a turn with that mini after Don.

Don, real nice story on Christy. So pretty and smart and sweet...no relation to you, right? :)

Mostly, beautiful wildflowers.

Roy, more fun shooting it 200 times, but I know, ammo is costly.

I took the chainsaw and tractor out and tackled some more cedars...mostly cut 2 to 5 inch branches on the big trees, and cut down several small trees. 5 more grapple loads. I couldn't believe the clouds of pollen that were released when I dropped the branches. I have a few more branches to hand saw with my pole saw at this spot, and then I will have opened up a better view. Talked with some other neighbors and they had skunk stories, too. Seems like the whole road had a population explosion this year.

WNG .. I bought the Lynxx 40 volt pole saw, chain saw, blower at Harbor Freight a couple of years ago. The pole saw has been extremely handy for cutting cedars. The majority are growing right beside bigger oaks so I can't just push them out with the tractor .. to easy to cause damage to the oak trees. With the pole saw, I can reach in, make a cut on the side of the direction I want it to fall, then start cutting on the back side. In most cases the larger oak tree protects me from the cedar falling.

52°F and light rain this morning, going up to 60° today. Supposed to rain here most of the day.

Wifey and I made a trip to a dealer in St. Peter's MO Saturday to look at some cars. After some unnecessarily contentious negotiation (salesman tried to back out of the internet advertised price), we bought a 2020 Kia Rio Sport 5-door hatchback. Nice to not be without a car once again.
PJS Kia Rio 2020 side.JPGPJS Kia Rio 2020 back.JPG

Got up to 66° here Sunday, but the sustained 20mph winds prevented me from re-erecting the flagpole, along with a few other needed outdoors honey-do list items. Spent the day piddling around int he studio instead.

Nice looking gun, Roy. I've thought about a .380 as a warm weather pocket pistol. Let us know how you like it when you finally get to shoot it.

Kyle, our chickens have been upping their productivity lately as well. We went from zero per day for a few weeks near the holidays to averaging nine or ten a day this past week. Not bad for 13 two-year-old hens.
