Good morning!!!!

good morning all
up early, enjoying my coffee
going to be a hot day, 73 going to 93 today.

big morning, switch to new barber, wonder how that will turn out.
old barber left with no notice, new lady said 45 bucks for a men's haircut.
I paid her, smiled and said not again. Competitor in same shopping center is 30 bucks,
keeping in mind this is a 15 minute appt, no head washing (I always shower and shampoo before a haircut)
and I don't have much hair left...
to which I will add my ten dollar tip and keep paying the same 40 I have been.

then Popgadget has generously offered to help me with the running lights on my rv, so headed up there
after my hair cut. Going to pick tomatoes before I leave and I think I have a nice pound+ tomato to take.

once home sure it will be sweat city and time to chill for the afternoon, literally.
I got myself a haircut yesterday, $25 with the senior discount, plus a $10 tip.

I did replace the filters yesterday as they needed it, that’s when I noticed some freezing, not bad freezing
We had a heat pump in our last office.

I walked out back for something and noticed the the outside unit was a solid block of ice.

Snapped a picture, showed it to my boss and said he should probably give the Land Lord a call

We still had heat from the heat strips, but there was no way the outside unit was working.

Heat and AC guy had to switch the unit to AC and melt off the ice before he could even begin to diagnose what was going on

97/108 even the birds don't like the heat
later I bet they splash around in the bird bath
I need to go change the water in it, after walking out to get the mail and that
should have me hot enough before I get back.
maybe when sun goes down I'll venture out

my boat a/c units had issues icing up. Finally had to replace all four of them after recharging didn't last.
very humid environment, sometimes just had to shut one down and let it thaw out.
after units replaced, no more icing. Units were older and high hour and we were living aboard in S. Florida.
think about the hot weather we have been having recently for most of us and S. Florida was like that months on end.

ahh, HI dropped to 107, did I feel the chill?

back from lunch in PA, diner near Gettysburg. Then drove around the country some, stopped at a couple markets but only got a cold water.

Got a call about 3 PM, the HVAC guy wanted to stop by today, as in Now. But I was still in PA, so that didn't work.

Fiber company stringing a steel cable on the poles in front of the house, for hanging their fiber. Had the road one way for over a mile, and they didn't string half the distance they had closed.

weather station says 91deg in the afternoon shade, front porch says 98deg in the shade, car said 96deg when we got home.

After having 2 .22s and 2 Lee-Enfield .303s and 3 12 ga shotguns as well as a 16 ga shotgun I think what my shoulder will handle now is a .22 which I will acquire after a bit, maybe. One of the .303s had a shotgun recoil pad on it, which made it just the right size for my long arms.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of -0.8C with frost and it's presently warmed up to 4.2C, predicted to reach 13C this arvo. It's clear and calm.
I don't understand why my local state liquor store doesn't have wine faeries like Wagtail gets.
when I asked the guy at the counter where his wings were, he looked at me funny...
How come the Tasmanians get all the fun? ;)
My 'Wine Faeries' work with a wine club that sources top quality wines (your choice of red, white or mixed) from across Australia, including Tasmania. There are so many varieties of 'red wine' that I never knew existed were it not for the faeries.

Liquor/beer store-wise, St Helens has two of them... one of them is a 'drive-through'. No "bottle-O" is controlled by a particular State. You can even get "off sales", over the counter at a bar/pub as you're leaving, to take home.

Well, it's 'into town day' for groceries but first I'll stop off for the monthly Veterans Coffee gathering @1000.

That's about it, take care all.

80F high thin clouds going to be warm night again. :(

Uneventful day :( between holding down the recliner and Mrs. saying keep that foot up  well that's enough said.
Heading for the deck feet up wait for critters and stars might have smooth cigar.

Enjoy your evening all.

Coffee has been poured. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 85° with partly cloudy skies. PT was tough yesterday. But I am feeling improvements in walking without pain. Worked on wiring for directionals signals until it got to hot to be outside. Did not get to cutting back field grass. Hope to get it done today. Hope to finish directional signal wiring today.
Yesterday's Sunrise.

good morning all
a/c ran most of the night, still in low 70's out, heading up to 98 today. ugh.

having breakfast with school board friend, want to hear whole story about local son of a well known Quaker teacher was arrested
in Washington state for protesting against ICE. Local internet was burning up. Have no idea what happened, this is a gentle person who would not be chucking rocks or anything at anyone but sometimes you are just in the wrong place.

people who stand up for what they believe in started this country.
unfortunately some folks stand up for the wrong thing.
of course I think it's wrong, they think xyz.
I just think standing up respectfully is a good thing.
it's why voting is incredibly important even if you don't get
what you hoped for

see I got an email overnight inviting me to go swimming on Saturday.
should be much cooler then, high of 81, sounds like fun. I'm going to visit with them today, but
told them too hot to walk back from community pool with my friend in his wheelchair.
It's a long walk and he tends to run off the path in his wheelchair and get the tire stuck, which means
some extrication.

am still having pains in my groin, have to call doc who is back from vacation and see if I can get a CT ordered.
pretty sure its muscle or arthritis issues, but once you've had cancer, you never know what that new pain might be.
Particularly in the gut area so time to get scanned again. I was scheduled for one anyway in a few months for the oncologist.
I can't walk very much without hurting so really need to get this looked at.

so no work on the rv today, that will be tomorrow morning's job before it rains.
really nice to have everything fixed and appreciative of all the help I've had.

I emailed my sister who lives on the Pacific coast in california to go down to the beach and see if she sees any waves
coming in from the Pacific tsunami
Northern California arrivals are expected to begin 2:50 a.m. ET, reaching San Francisco Bay around 3:40 a.m. ET and Southern California coastlines around 4 a.m. ET.

Good Morning,
Ct, 70 to start going to 90’s again. Yesterday was brutal but I still managed to pressure wash both decks behind the house and then Karhleen comes out and says why don’t you pressure wash the pressed concrete around the perimeter of the pool 😳 Oh , Ok Honey and so I pressed on , hoping that she wouldn’t find me doing a face plant on the concrete 😂 Well I got it all done, we had swim lessons for all the kiddos and then she says the grass is getting a bit long 😳 so hopped on the Zero Turn and knocked that off 😉 Busy day, I told her last night don’t expect to much from me on Wednesday 😃

What caliber? 22 Hornet?
GM Paul, 22-250 model 77 bolt action,SS barrel , yes I believe so ! I usually use Hornady 45 gr ammo. Will take a picture the next time I’m in Vt Paul.

Plans for today is to activate US-1718 Southford Falls state park this morning with my portable radio gear.

Not much more on the agenda than that 😉 I think this is the really last hot day.

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

Good morning, the low is 59 and going up to 72°F. Wind N 9 mph. A mix of sun and cloud. 72 is a more realistic temperature for around here at this time of year.

I might actually go outside and 'do' something today. Compost pile needs turning as does the wood pile. Takes two different buckets. Might. Time will tell.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning.
Already 72°, DP 71°, going to be another unbearable day outside with a high of 95 or more.
Yesterday’s trip made me thankful that the AC worked well in the plane. At 37,000 feet the temperature was 21°C above the standard temp. (-56°C), making it -35°, while cold enough to not need AC, definitely affects performance.

It was sunny and in the 90’s in Portland, it was still more comfortable than Philly.

While I got home in time to be productive, I accomplished little, and nothing outside, other than locking my neighbors chickens in their coop for the night while they are at the beach.

Not sure what I’ll accomplish today, I could do some mowing, but it’s not high on the list. I have some parts that I need to 3D print, an errand or two to run, but other than that it’s flexible.

Good morning! Cold outside at 64˚F heading to 100˚. Today is the coldest and hottest day this July. I need to trim some hedges while it is cool this morning.

Can anyone recommend a power pruner with extension pole? I need to buy one.

Also on the agenda put a coat of no-slip on the outdoor travertine.

70.5 this morning air quite heavy very humid high in lower 90s. More storms in the forecast.

When the nuclear facility was damaged in Japan we lost a lot of weather bouys and it would appear they have never been replaced. Rather be safe than sorry but projections for the tsunami were way off wonder if our being blind in that part of the Pacific had anything to do with it.

Have some busy work today other than that take the day as it comes. Thomas what brand of cigar?

Prayers for all our Country
