Just might split a little myself this afternoon if I can get the tired BS1250 to start. Had to use ether a few times, just a little, likely the carb
is getting unhappy. I put a lot of Sea Foam in it so once it gets running, it clears up and purrs. I can't pull like Wngsprd, arms can't take it,
so it had better start in five or six pulls. Of course it sits for quite a bit, and there's no primer on it so takes a while to suck the gas through
it. I spray the ether into the air cleaner foam filter which always does the trick.
Starting fluid seems to act like steroids. Works marvelously for a short while but seriously bad on you if overused or for too long.
Using ether on diesels is another story and that argument has definite sides with strong opinions. Some tractors even came with ether can injection
built in. Modern tractors seem to deal with the cold much better.
