Did the Kodiak give you problems or just not enough power?

Don, Prayers for as near to full recovery as can be. Is this on your side of the family or your wife's? Prayers for the family.

I usually only ride the back country roads here in our county. average about 35mph. My bike has dual headlights, and I run them on highbeam during the daylight.
He is my wife's sister's husband. He is Christy's father, you remember, she got her fame capturing alligators when a news crew filmed her in a Home Depot parking lot riding a 14 ft. Alligator. He has 4 adult children.
He was also going 35 MPH with his headlight on, on a back country road.

Good morning! 38˚F heading to the mid 70s with a SW wind turning easterly.
Pool temp is 52˚ and the house cooled off last week and the gas central heat was finally turned on to warm the house from 67˚ to 69˚, to our comfort range.

BIL's kids and grandkids were to come to our house for Christmas and stop off at the adventure farm to play. They have canceled, of course, to be with BIL in the hospital. I ordered two pencil Christmas trees for our entry hall. They arrived last evening and I will put them up today.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 19° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 28° with cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good yesteday. Even found a bag of Ice melt at first place I stopped. It was last one. Bag from last year had hardened up like concrete. Should have checked it before needed.
Dr. appointment went good. More meds to pick up today. Return on test and X Rays are all within normal number so far. Only plans for today is pickup meds. Rest of day will be conserve energy.

Don, you are going to need a wet suit to go swimming...
hope your BIL improves

realized green was coming back into bathroom tub and sink, then I tasted water yesterday and spit it out.
ok, clearly the acid neutralizer tank has run out. That line I thought I was watching sure wasn't the right thing...
they will come next week and fill it up; water here is so acidic they have to jazz up the chemicals a little.

and my day improved now that I have been invited to a nice Italian dinner at brother's home.
after we go to the bar together.
that means coffee with dinner for me.

going to buy a Powerball today

Good morning, the low is 7 and going up to 19°F. Wind W 6 mph. 30% chance of flurries.
Saturday and Sunday night it is going to be colder than a well diggers butt, so I think I will get the plowing out of the way today or tomorrow morning.

Buppies is up way too late and I am up way too early. What a pair.

Have a safe day all
I was up from 1 to around 4 am. I can't seem to get much more than 3-4 hrs of sleep at a time right now. then I sit up awhile, watch some youtube, etc, then go back to bed again.
Not doing much these days, yesterday was piddle around. Did get 10 miles in on the recumbent bike, hadn't been on it in awhile. Just trying to stay warm.
Today is hair cut at noon, 12-12-12, so will do a sams or costco run after.

Had to laugh. My FIL offered me 5k to elope. Wife wasn't having any of it though.
I think that is the smart choice that most guys want. My oldest son getting married next Nov, in part because of lower cost then, but also all the places are booked. It seems fewer church weddings these days, it's event centers. We were married in Wife's church, so there was no cost there. Most preachers I know don't charge or just take a donation. Our church is available for members, last one we had was outside in the lawn.
My best friend from HS eloped. Just found out recently he's divorced after 40+ yrs of marriage.

Morning all, 24 going to 36 and see the sun coming up.
Son came home yesterday instead of today, so ran over to get him. First semester done.
Accident on route 1 added 30 minutes to the return trip.
Today, get new Jeep key made and go get a Christmas tree.

I got married in my soon to be wifes Catholic church. Zero cost but a $100.oo donation to the wine fund. Not being Catholic, I had to take instruction which amounted to the Priest and I sitting in his office drinking wine. Lots of it. He was a drunk. I learned two things from that experience; One, whatever you do in life you will be forgiven and Two, never try to keep up with a Priest when it comes to drinking wine. That marriage didn't last. I've been single for 50 years.

good morning, 24 to start with this morning. Seems December is colder that I remember from years past

Running more oil fired heat this morning in addition to mini split and wood fired stove

Cardio appointment with the medical group that took over the practice was disappointing
It is all about saving money on staff and maximize earning from medical testing is the feeling I came away with
First there is the kiosk check in with a raft of questions that has to be satisfied before going on including taking pictures of insurance cards etc
Many of the elderly patients gave up
We saw a nurse practitioner and not a doctor. She had no computer skills and struggled with it and everything is on the computer. The old doctor had a paper file he worked from. She said her 12 yo grand daughter would help her with the computer at times
Then the lab test results could not be found and the files scanned in from the previous doctor were incomplete
Then she ordered up a vascular CT study without having past records or current data, an Echocardiogram, and Lexiscan for wife and something similar for me

need to look for another doctor

my second wife is permanently mentally disabled.
I did my very best but was too much for me.
one of my life's biggest failings was leaving those three inherited kids behind.
and then one of them committed suicide by OD.
The one who used to jump in my arms when I got home from work.
Always held myself responsible in some small way

Mental illness is hard to deal with. We have had our share of that with schizophrenia and bipolar issues and multiple children's hospitalizations. Had to get the sheriff involved multiple times to help and scort the ambulance to the hospital
But the good new is that they all survived and are in stable situations
I give a lot of credit to my wife for dealing with this in a very professional way
