That's why we recently dropped our "land line" at home. We've had the service through Verizon for the last six or so years, so it was really just a home-based cell phone. We never used it anymore, and if cell service goes out, that line would go dead as well. Dropped $20/month off the bill. Not a huge savings, but $240/year for a phone we don't use is just foolish.

The daughter that is building a new house asked local phone company about a landline.. no analog lines anymore being put in.. so the old POTs is no more for new houses in her area.. they have decent cell reception so likely won't ever put in a landline per se.. but if they get decent internet, could put in a VoIP box (I have a Google voice number that shows up at my house with a small box (OBIHAI) that I hook my phones to).
I walked on the treadmill for 5 minutes, it is going to take some discipline to get to normal after this cold and back pain. Good news is I started and did not over do it. I can build up my time and keep increasing work on total gym.. I see good things for sure..

Came in for lunch break.
Got camper water lines blown out and some antifreeze in the traps. Only had 1/2 gal, but only 3 traps, tub and 2 sinks. I leave plug out of hot water tank.
Going to need new awning. Let it out to dry. When I rolled it back up, some of the backing just came off.
Took up one outdoor hose. Still got one.
Need to clean pellet stove pipe yet, and I’m worn out. Wife said take it easy, but it’s getting cold after rain tomorrow. They changed from snow to wintry mix for next Tuesday.

nasty weather in the mix here next week also, but for now, 75 tomorrow.
First an early appt at arthritis doc and then a hair cut, then home to continue winterizing.
Realized I had forgotten to do the pressure washers so I ordered a little can of that
expensively packaged pink stuff. Easy to use and can do at least two pressure washers with it.
Then I think I'll split some firewood. Log splitter needs some exercise. Gave all my old firewood, much of it three and four years old, to landscaper
who hauled it away to sell to someone. My production far exceeds needs. Have a nice pile to split now.
Wish I were closer to some of you wood burners.
speaking of burning wood, need to let this pile settle down a little and have a nice bonfire. That pit is full up.

Good day for outside work need more than t shirt tho.
4 hours blowing the leaves than another 3 hours blowing neighbor lawn,neighbor was mowing yesterday afternoon when the engine decided it had enough...engine parts and oil mess up there drive...they both more than happy leaves are taking care of before late night snow arrives Thursday...my back pockets are dragging I am done for the day.
By sheer luck I found missing game cam just inside the woods,that game cam doesn't work anymore from teeth marks.
Enjoy the evening all.

Wow, glad I wasn’t even close to that bad.
For me the tingling came later. Not sure I can describe the original feeling, just my legs felt funny walking.
I get tingling after activity.
Probably overdid it again today.
I got pellet stove cleaned. Took outside pipe off and cleaned in to a 90° turn.
Dug a few places to locate direct bury electric wire from house to shed. It’s not very deep. Going to bury a couple conduits soon.
