Good Morning
26° and grey outside, high in the middle 30’s
We got less than 2” of snow last night, too much to ignore, but not much effort to clean up.

Yesterday moved at a nice pace, seems like I got something accomplished.
I got a call while at breakfast that the quartz top was ready to pick up, I stopped on my way home and picked it up. This goes on the cabinets that we added in the old folks home. Worked out great, I was able to put the AVR receiver and BluRay player in it, now there are no exposed cables or wires in the room.

FedEx brought me a Chinesium electric hydraulic pump that I installed on the press, replacing the pneumatic one that I added a little while ago. I saw it on sale at a price I couldn’t refuse, I’ve actually had pretty good luck with the Vevor stuff that I have gotten, it was $250 delivered, and came with a foot switch. There was one with a double acting valve for about $10 more, but the press cylinder is only single acting with a spring return.

Spent some time cleaning up and lathe tinkering before it was time to take Zoe to class.
This class there were other dogs for distraction, we practiced controlled meet and greets, and returning to her place. She was far more interested in the people than the dogs.

When we got home, it was dark, making it obvious that the 200w LED floodlight on the shop was kaput. Some quick troubleshooting ruled out the WiFi smart switch, and confirmed it was the fixture. Mr Bezos to the rescue, new one will be here today.

Not looking forward to replacing it, it’s at the limit for my 24’ ladder which is also my limit. But if the weather holds off and the new one gets delivered early enough, it will be on today’s agenda some time after snow removal. Last thing on that agenda is an airport authority meeting, we’ll see what fills in the middle.

Morning all, 31 going to 35, about 3" snow on the ground, calling for rain later.
Got the walkways and part of the driveway hand shoveled.

Drew , you only got about 1" snow, easy 3" here, easy fluffy stuff though.

Dog saw the snow last night and ran out almost taking me for a ride, she loves the snow.
Was anxious to go out this morning.

Paul/Popgadget heard a plane flipped at Doylestown airport, looks like pilot is fine luckily.

Might take the tractor out later to smooth the road. we'll see.

be well,

Good morning TBN!!
33 this morning with a wet high of 40. Miserable at best. Rather have snow which is very close but we haven't seen any.
Not a lot yesterday. Got the genny in the garage out from under the deck where I keep it.
Went and got my last two pallets but they are shot. May try and pick a couple up when I get some diesel. There is a house next door to the store that has stacks of them. Also figured out a secure way to mount my torches and tanks to get them up and down to the bridge. Guess I should build a cart that has been on my do list for a long time. Just haven't settled on a design.
Got the new sensors for the garage door so they will top the list again.
Only got about 5k steps yesterday. Sloppy weather bothers me but not so much the dog.

Time for my 2nd cup and see if I can tick off a couple of items on my never shrinking list of things to do.

Everyone have a great and safe day!!

9" of snow here. Up at 0230, shoveled the deck and sidewalk. Done with that at 0330, fired up the tractor and plowed the lane. That was complete at 0415 and in the office by 0440. Calling for rain this evening.

65°F and no rain.

Tractor maintenance took a bit longer but still got time with the tiller. At least until I got so much debris wound up in the rotor I had to stop. Took over an hour to clear. Hadn’t seen such a mess since the time I caught that barbed wire in the flail. Likely gonna be a continuing issue until it decomposes more. That stuff is tough.

Off to Dentist this morning Both Sophie and I have early morning filling work and I get my permanent crown.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Looks like a good nine (9) inches. Unfortunate, a heavy snow. Great for snowballs and snowmen. Not good on the back.

Bad move on not setting up the snow sticks for the driveway markers, Especially so on the curve portion which was....invisible. Getting around that...it is a straight shot to the main road.

A whole 10 minutes of fun.
We don't often plow...but when we do....

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 8:00AM. Cloudy skies with periods of light rain this afternoon. High near 55F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 70%.

I've been able to find medication discounts at GoodRx and Costco's pharmacy that beat the prices from my Medicare Part D insurer by a very significant amount. Only problem there is that the out of plan purchases don't count toward the deductible.

Sad to learn of your brother, Frits, but at least he went peacefully.

Glad to here you folks in snow country are still holding up. Lots of rain in NorCal last week probably made at least some of the trouble for you.

Monday's trip was mostly OK, until a trucker slammed on his brakes causing me to do the same. A box with a mostly empty bottle of balsalmic vinegar fell half way over and made a mess on the floor as a result. So far that's the only casulty of the trip, but I won't know for sure before I finish unloading.

I got the trailer unloaded yesterday. Toughest part was moving a couple dozen cinder blocks to the wood pile in the back yard to hold down the tarp. Lots of steps, but not the up and down kind.

Before that it was a meet with the urologist to go over test results. They found a few stones, one measuring 10 cm across. Will wait three months to see if it's still growing, and go after them with a laser if they are. Not my first rodeo, but there's no charm to the third time.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

I was surprised when I went out and measured our snow...7.5" inches. I guess it snowed some more last night. BEF, Covington reported 16" and Millboro 13" so I bet your old lot was at least a foot.
they can have it. LOL
2.5 - 3" here, melting has started. son is off work.

I saw that our road had been plowed, so walked up there to shovel the ice balls that the plow leaves along the roadside, blocking driveways and mailboxes. Last snow there were only 3 basketball sized ice balls to move, so I took the closest shovel I could find this morning...my wife's little 4" wide garden spade.

Well, this time there was a "Great Wall of China" of ice across our apron. I didn't want to walk all the way back up to the shed for a real shovel, so used the little one anyway. Kinda glad I did, because at least it kept me from lifting even bigger balls of ice...that stuff was heavy, like you said.

33°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 36° today. The snow has started to fall here in Freeburg. Wife says it's sleet at home. 1-3" of whatever falls has been predicted.

Drew, I've caught about half a dozen mice in our garage so far this winter, using the old school metal and wood Victor snap traps. We've not caught any inside the house yet, which is a good thing. Memories of last year's nibbled water lines are still painfully fresh. Hope you can avoid any damage.

Good morning, gents.

big day today
get to try out my new suspenders
think I got the right ones this time
hopefully a cure for my pants always falling down
tired of "hitching" them up...
I've even had them fall down, or try to, while I had my arms full outside.
Or at the gas pump, visions of getting arrested for indecent exposure
late wife said I was all gut and no butt, so I need a little help I guess

I've been wearing suspenders for a considerable number of years. Same issue couldn't keep pants up without them, always having to pull em up. I use almost exclusively the side clip or truckers style. I do have the classic button on X style for my dress slacks but all my work clothes ones are side clips, they don't hang up getting in and out of vehicles. This outfit has a pin that locates into a receiver I've never had an issue with them tearing or ruining a waistband.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 22.2C and it's presently 27.3C [heading to 30Cish], partly overcast with variable winds.

All tasks 'in town' accomplished yesterday, including the door repair at the Church out-building. Prior to venturing out to do that job, I tested my old & inexpensive 'clamps' to find that they were 'shot'. So I added a couple of new, and more robust, clamps to my list of things to pick up at the local hardware shop. The repair only took a half hour.

A relaxing (bravely hide in the house) day due to the rising temps.

That's about it, take care all.

Randy, I’m assuming they are not taking those air measurements while you are York raking paddock #5 😂😂
Well, there is something to be said for the sweet 'essence' of spread horse manure.
They found a few stones, one measuring 10 cm across.
Mate, that's not a stone... it's a bloody BOULDER!

Snowing now and has been for an hour or so. We are supposed to get about 10" of it. So far only an inch.
One of the neighbours that is out of town tells me his wife is having trouble starting his snow blower and would I plow the driveway for him. Sure!
He is about 500' past my last customer.
