Pipe breaks (x2) fixed. Cost $400, which seems reasonable based on time put in.
Still have to finish drying out the insulation and replace the board removed.
They fixed the sink line that popped as part of the total cost.
I need to replace the washing machine lines, Already have a set, so no cost.

Once everything is dry, I will need to reassemble and maybe some paint. No biggy.

I found price of eggs at local Acme and Giant is $2 more than at local Wegmans.
Acme and Giant are still price gouging where they can.

32°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 53° today.

any of you raise chickens?
you'd better guard them...
$6.95 a dozen for eggs at supermarket today, apparently due to some breeder issue.
not the week for omelettes.
The joke will be on them if someone steals our chickens, Drew. We're paying about $40/month for chicken feed, which puts our egg cost at $10/week. We're still not getting enough to sell any right now to offset that cost.

Good afternoon, gents.

instead of paying dealership 200 a wheel to fix my rashed rims, going to try this first.
it has some bondo goop to help level off the worst parts, which I need on one wheel.
looks like a job I can handle and I can sit to do it.

Good luck! Post pics!

29F now and should be the high for today partly cloudy sky, good chance late morning snow showers heavy at times with 10-20mph winds. 🙄
We aren't that cold and no snow expected but we have clouds AND a heavy fog!

Got pins made and tried on tractor. Still need to paint .
Nice looking job!

Once everything is dry, I will need to reassemble and maybe some paint. No biggy.
Lucky you caught it quickly!

47 years ago, Jan 26, 1978 Ohio got hit with the big blizzard. Roads drifted shut, used bulldozers to open roads.
We used our little John Deere dozer to open our road.
Unfortunately, most of our pics are blurry from that event.
Nice to walk down that snowy memory lane.

Plumber had bads news...the old section of our house is 50 years old...cast iron waste pipe has a long crack that is dripping under the house...extends into a tough access area. Coming back with a borescope.
Hope everything works out well on that repair!

Nothing really pressing to do right now. I think I'll go get a haircut!

Good Afternoon Ron,
That looks good ! So now when you hook the U under the bucket and raise the bucket your able to slide the bottom pins in ! Do the bottom pins have a detent when they slide through, or do you have to use lynch pins after pushing through ?

Afternoon all!
25 dropping to lower teens with snow tonight.
Insurance came and removed the car. Yay!
Of course they didn't have the correct phone number so we weren't notified when they showed up. Luckily we had just returned from shopping. Was locked in my outer garage.
The post office has the title floating all over the state including back to my town twice!! Was supposed to be two days and signature required. No check from insurance until they get it!!
After all that the fridge crapped out at the apartment house. Never ends! It's over 20 years old so we will have it replaced. They are supposed to deliver it Friday.
Going out for coffee with my buddy tonight! Should be for drinks! Lol!
Not sure on tomorrow after the snow cleanup. Will have to see.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Lynch pin is used to hold bottom pin in place. I have the same QPA on my other tractor. Has worked very good for 25 years.

Is this the invasive and non native Guinea Grass that gets really tall. Saw some show where this was completely overwhelming a property. Talked about former sugar plantations were completely overgrown with this African import
Yup.
Tall and tough stuff
Originally broke in as cattle forage, now invasive.

Good Afternoon,
Thanks for explanation Ron !

Last week I ordered 2 dowel and tenon cutters from Veritas, Canadian made !
I bought one 1/2” and one 3/8”. I will be using these to create the tenons on the back rocker spindles !

They look to be well made, hope to get back into that project this spring ! 😉🙏

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 13.1C and it's presently 18.1C, high overcast & calm.

Yesterday's Dr. appointment went quickly and I don't have to give any 'samples' until 3 months have passed. Tip trip also accomplished.

It was clear enough last night (+ I remembered) to check out the planet alignment in my Northern sky using an 'app' on my phone. 4 planets were indicated but I could only 'see' Mars & Jupiter. Oh, well. At least the Milky Way was beautiful, due to living rural with no light-pollution.

Today is 'into town' day for groceries... but first I'll attend a Veteran's coffee gathering @ 1000.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening! 53˚F as it's been all day with heavy cloud cover.

I hit the floor running this morning, first FireWise brush clearing, then went to a plant based lecture in the main ballroom. It was a popular topic given by Stacey Palmer a good DNP, NP-C, she had talked to our smaller plant based group before. Today 290 neighbors (actually paid to) attended her lecture. She got into plant based nutrition after she had a thyroid disorder and was overweight. She tried every diet and the one with the best results was the whole food plant based diet. Now she gears her practice in it and looking around at the interest of the group she will be very busy. Her web site is just getting started viveregt.com

She will work to get you off your meds, loose weight, and control your cholesterol and diabetes. She has had good results and shared the case studies of her patients. She also gave some good tips on what foods to stay away from and which ones to seek out.

No coffee today yet. 34° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 38° with clouds and gusty winds. With pins finished Quick Pin Adapter tried on tractor. All I have to do is paint it. Spray can says I have to wait until temperatures are 50° and above to do the painting. Spent an hour with neighbor who is on Hospice. Good visit. Today I have my annual physical with primary care Dr. Then I can have my cup of coffee. May get start cleaning up mess I created in shop with latest project.
Part of my cleanup crew for bird feeders. No Cranes have visited lately.

Good morning,
20° now highs near 40° and cloudy today. Winds calm now, then WSW 20-30 mph starting around noon. Looks like 3-4” of white stuff, should be easy clean up when daylight comes. That will probably be all for today.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

/ Good morning!!!! #202,539
good morning all
a warm 49 for today, and up to 40mph winds this afternoon
whatever snow is left will sure get melted today
looks like some rain coming in Thursday night into Friday.
all the snow is going North of us.

I hope I didn't already post this but problem with Expedition overheating one half hour
after it left dealer was due to blown heater hose. Heater hoses let go after six years?
I wonder if they are telling me the truth.
And....because it's a hose, a wear item..., no coverage under either applicable warranty and I got
hammered for another 1400 bucks to get truck out of shop for replacing two hoses and coolant again.
it comes back today after they detail it, hopefully not to return to that shop ever again. I have had so many problems with
Beans dealerships over the years with financial shenanigans, they simply are not to be trusted.

saw a nice pic of my neighbor's Lexus they sold to Popgadget, all spiffed up and looking shiny for his wife.
Should be a super reliable car for them, finally got delivered yesterday.

hope your Wednesday is a good one
