I'm trying to work cattle at a two different places. I have a chute in which I can load cattle into a trailer on the one place and I'm currently revamping the one at the other. I would like to put a head gate on the end of one but also have it hinged so that I could also swing the whole thing open and still load from the chute. It would also be nice if I could remove it and attach it to the other when the time comes to use it. Is thier anything out their made commerically or should I bite the bullet and buy a portable? Who makes a good head catch? Thanks,
Patrick

Priefert has some great cattle working equipment. After fighting with mostly junk from alot of the other companies I have been really happy with their equipment.

Thanks Richard, I was hoping that you would comment. My neighbor has one by that brand but I was'nt sure as to the quality since he is new to the hobby, I mean business. I looked at his but it only bolted on and I'm unsure if it would swing open or not. Thanks again, I'm going to look around but not much available to look at in the area.

Poorboy,
I've got the Model 93 Squeeze Chute and I love it. I do most of my work alone and I can easily operate it by myself. It also has a side release and I can also lay my calves on their side like a table with it as well. They also make a Model 91 pr 97 headgate that is very portable. It attaches to most any corral panel as well. Where are you located? Look at their website at www.priefert.com. You can download their catalog and prices. Their prices are usually 30-40% above list and my dealer usually knocks 20% off the list for me. Let me know if you have any other questions. I just pulled out my receipt for 99 and I paid $1895 for the automatic model 93 squeeze chute. The headgate for the chute was a model 91 and for the automatic one it was itemized out at $365. My calf table was $650. My headgate weighs 215 lbs. and my whole squeeze chute weighs 1290 lbs. They also had a carrier to move the squeeze chute but I didn't buy that. Let me know if you need anymore answers on mine.
