GC1720 wheel spacers

/ GC1720 wheel spacers #21
I was thinking of getting the 3" wheel spacers from bro tek for my back tires. Has anyone here gone that wide with their GC? Is it too much? I have to traverse a hill side to get to my "back 40" (really like 2 haha). I want the most stability possible! Is this safe for the machine?

While a slightly larger machine, I just put their 3" spacers on my YT235. Side hills are much better now. They have a lip on their spacers that transfer the load to the flange of the axle well.

Their customer service was excellent.

See my post #12 in this thread. I put 6" each side spacers (Bro-tek brand) on my B2150 Kubota and it was a huge improvement for steep ground. Similar size tractor. Just lookout for interference with other things (like mid-mount mowers if you intend to use one or maybe your outriggers for the backhoe?) etc. That's twice as wide as you were considering. I say the wider the better unless you have some kind of restriction.

The bolt pattern on the older GC2600 was the same as a Ford Ranger. I found a set of those for $50. I dont think they changed the bolt pattern on the 1700 series. May save you some money.
